    How did you get the welded diff through MOT just out of curiosity? thanks

      I just told the tester it had a welded diff. They are not illegal, indeed there were cars years ago that had solid rear axles. The only thing that can't be done is rear brake imbalance as it shows the same on both sides.

      That's really interesting as I was going to get the diff welded on my 1UZ Soarer then swap over to a spare open diff I have for MOT. MOT in N.Ireland is stricter in the UK though so doubt if I'd get a welded diff through. Thanks for the reply :-)
