3 things not mentioned that are pretty important The suicide fog didn't just appear and decide to show up, before the ancients that founded the sea of thieves, there were even older ancients that built what became the shores of gold in pursuit of a perfect island. Knowing how rich they were they casted a spell which put the devil's shroud around the sea of thieves. 2, the servant of the flame is flame heart Jr, Flame hearts son (this used to be a conspiracy but is now confirmed as the servant likes to talk about his dad when you visit him) 3, the arena is closed because Demarco was killed from someone whom we don't know (Bonus, flame heart was resurrected from seabound soul not heart of fire)
Major kudos, this was comprehensive as hell. I've been playing on and off for 2 years and have always been curious about the deeper lore of the story. Well done!
I hope they make a movie based on the SoT lore That would be awesome lol or actually a show so we can fit all the information I'd binge that show and it can be in game accurate. So wicked
Great video mate - I downloaded sea of thieves on release day and played it for a week or so then didn’t touch it again until last week. Now I am totally sucked in. I love the art design, music and gameplay. The sailing and water mechanics are great and I love the tall tales and pirates of the Caribbean tie in. Appreciate the time you put in for this - thank you 👍👏
The kracken attack at Golden sands the pirate lord covered everybody else's escape briggsy came in and saved them from certain Doom at the last moment and their combined efforts nearly killed the kraken
Damn, I recently wondered what the whole story line behind SoT is, bc I couldn't hold it together by the many small details within the game. This helped a lot to lift that fog! But it isn't quite gone, as I wished there to be more information on other storylines (like the ones you put on screen at the end with Belle) and certain character stories (Duke but also community characters like Glitterbeard) within the SoT world. Perhaps there will be more videos in this direction by people like you and others! Great job for now :)
The seaboard soul is my favorite tall tale. The music, the story, the immersion, its fantastic. I own every purchasable sword in the game as well as the legendary sea dog sword, and I still use pendragons sword on and off.
I feel stupid. While I was reading Athena's Fortune I thought the pirate lord was already in the sea of thieves and sailing to the devil's roar, and not coming from the real world into the sea of thieves
Despite all the grief I give it, Sea of Thieves is a really interesting comeback story of a game. Maybe not everyone remembers 4 years down the line, but when sot first released it got SLAMMED by RUclips reviews and the gaming press in general because of its severe lack of content at launch. It's to me fascinating how well Rare was able to turn sot around (despite their failure to keep the momentum going several years later IMO). Just to put it in perspective, and I know you kinda brushed over this in the video, the only things you could do were: -Map/Riddle Digs -Catch/Deliver Animals -Kill Skeleton Captains -Regular forts which at the time were the best way of making money but spawned roughly every 2-ish hours. -PvP which basically served no purpose since barely anyone actually carried loot. It also lacked mechanics such as breaking masts/wheels/capstans, curse balls, fire/blunder bombs.
Man, you don't make a lot of videos but as soon i hear your voice, i recognize "oh is the guy that always makes good videos!"... My brain 🧠 just thought thay. I had to share to you
Actually it's not straight forward told to us but apparently skeletons are divided in more tiers, the principal characteristic being how close its memories are to when it was alive, said so the skeleton tire list is something like Bone Skeleton < "Crewmate" Skeletons (the ones with pieces of clothe) < Plant Skeletons < Ashen Skeletons < Gold skeletons < Shadow Skeletons (the ones that need lantern to take dmg) < Captain Skeletons < Ashen guardian (chest and key) Captains < Skeleton Lords > Ashen Lords < Wonda and Jr. (?) < Flame Heart snr. Remembering the in the skeleton captain "tier" the same logic applies, like bone captains follow orders from plant captains and it keeps going There are also the skeletons commanded by the gold hoarder which seems to be above general skeleton lords like Brigsy and Graymarow, but those are isolated cases
I wish I got this game at launch. I considered it but only starting playing (kinda) in 2021. I’ve been pretty active recently lol I’m addicted to the pirate life
“Can I have Captain Falcore?”
“No, we have Captain Falcore at home.”
Captain Falcore at home:
Strong and dumb one is shan and he is neither dumb or strong
More like Capitain Falcore but epic
dude you’re a legend. only funny people can make fun of themselves
Lol nice job tho
No, this is better than Captain Falcore because it's not full of humorless, low effort fart jokes, and brutal, undeserved slander of Rare.

0:30
Demarco was killed AFTER the arena was closed. He was on the arena sitting by a grog barrel before he went missing.

yeah I wanted to see that to be honest
Watch Pirates of The Caribbean
@@vanvtm4450 by the way there's also crossover with them
It would be like Star Wars the Clone Wars, it wouldn’t be the main stuff it would just be the lore
Fax
Finally got the time to watch, I've been waiting since the video came out and I'm definitely not disappointed! Great video banks!
Nah bro this is the best lore video I've ever seen, nice work man, you literally involved all the lore in one video
as a player who started 5 months ago, i appreciate all this background lore. thank you. amazing video. subscribed.
I enjoyed your humor and storytelling 👍 A+.

I hope stitcher jim returns in these adventures so badly.
Fr we ain’t seen him in 2+ years
I think he will return as a ashen lord bc of what flameheart said
Nah he cut off the cursed spot
@@kingstonvlach7835 Is this a joke or are you being legit?
devs spoke about him on podcast
The map through the Devil's shroud actually belonged to Mercia, and it was she who convinced Ramsey to attempt the voyage.
Thanks for clearing some of the lore up, cus I had no idea about 90% of this
A 2 minute old sea of thieves video with high quality?? Yes please
Love your channel dude. Keep it up!
4:40 bro, the 3 little islands on the upper left of covid look like a o_O face bcuz of the text xD
I like the way you tell this story, in your own, casual terms. Mostly because I still want to tell it myself, but as a character from in the universe.
0:35 I love that slow sunset, foreshadowing that things are about to get a whole lot worse

I really only needed the lore before the game. And it all connects now. Thank you
Flameheart’s soul was trapped by himself to preserve himself since the ferryman wasn’t a thing
Goated video bro👍👍
Video went so hard they were headed up north as far as the eye can see while also being carefree with no need to flee 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Man... I freaking love the Sea of Thieves... it's something special
This is one of the greatest and most informative videos ever all while being comedic af 👏 👌 🤣
I feel stupid. While I was reading Athena's Fortune I thought the pirate lord was already in the sea of thieves and sailing to the devil's roar, and not coming from the real world into the sea of thieves
This video is amazing, thank you
11:55 omg, the „sure fam“ maked me *roll on deck laughing 😂

Not me thinking: Oh, this will be nice to show my 9 year old sister since she is into the game right now!
Buttplugs.
Woopsie /:
From now on I will be calling all skellys, dead or alive, Rawbert.
Such a good video! So much quality for such a small channel.
I enjoyed the video mate, thank you for your time and efforts ! :)
After watching this amazing video I can definitely confirm that I'll have to watch it all over again because all the names are so hard to remember
The reason we got through the suicide fog so fast was because Ramsey parted it like the Red Sea.
what a good video, sincerely an incredible job u did, apreciate it so much
this would make a sick film
The entirety of Sea of Thieves history summarised in half a hour and yet I still have no idea who Belle is
Great video dude

It would be funny there was a merchant quest that’s just called rum and you go to rum runners island and you deliver the rum to jack sparrow lol
So this was good. Well done. I was educated and entertained.
Lmao!!! "I bought books" reason why I watched this

Damn bro. I wish u showed the actual picture of salt :( I miss him and can't believe I forgot about him
I joined at the start with a crew hit pirate legend when the skeleton ships where first introduced. but I'm back with the same boys
You are a badass. Subbed
The ending caught me off guard
Awesome!
Imagine an animated show based on sea of thieves? It would be so badass
It's a shame most shows nowadays are complete garbage
Dude this is so deep, its a pirate game
damn right
What is the name of the sails at 8:12 ?
"F*** this enjoy the video"😂
Wanda gives me the chills tbh
You gotta cover the adventures too.
0:35 what are the sails on the ship
Actually a bit sad that you rushed some parts of the video
I would've loved a 1h long story video
What do you think the “Species boundary”/Reproductive barrier actually was with the Rawberts and Merpeople. Ya think the pp no fit? I assume so
rathbone didnt try to rob tribute peak he saw island as a perfect place to store his treasures and where no one can rob him
