@pokesnorlax1 You can either obtain the Chao Key, hidden in a Chao Box in each level, or on the level selector scree, you can just go straight to Chao World at the top-left, right above Shadow's City level.
I also prefer searching stages over shooting ones, but I still dislike them. The chao garden was one of my favorite features of SA2. The kart races were pretty uneccesary in my opinion. Good review, but did you find the Biolizard easy the first times?
I don't know, something about rolling around at the speed of sound in this game made me realize I had places to go and that I had to follow my rainbow. Great review

The Dreamcast has a higher top speed in the speed levels (Sonic takes less time to run down the building in City Escape) and slightly better graphics, since it has glare effects (not sure of the right word) on objects, and in a cutscene set on the ARK, the window has a reflection in the DC version only.
FINALLY! Someone who actually understands that this game is BEAST!!! I love it. I cannot believe that nobody else(except those comment below) thought it was frustrating!!! I loved this game, still have it, and have gone through FOUR gamecube discs because I played it so much. Thank you for your review!

@TheToadRacer it's a charge up ability you acquire for shadow and sonic where you the homing attack is done automatically and repeated till it hits all possible enemies in the chain. Little annoying if you need more control but at times very convenient...
Ugh, the ghosts that pop out of nowhere in some of Knuckles'/Rouge's just downright terrified me when I was 7 or 8. Even now, when I'm 13, it still scares me silly because of a reminder of those experiences. Did you have a problem with them?
that chao garden is VERY addicting. i even wasted time on making shiny normal coloured devil,normal and angel chaos chao and lvled them to 99in all and when i was done no-one of my friends played the game anymore
@The007Fossil you get those costumes after you get all A ranks on all of the missions for that ONE character. So for sonic, you would have to get A ranks on all of his missions. Same with knuckles, tails, shadow etc.

Before relasing SA2 HD in PSN and Marketplace, it would have been cool if they had re-recorder voices with current voice actor cast , and then adding option where you can choose original voices or current voices. It would have been interesting to listen to :D
@Absol64 Chrono Trigger is already out on VC, so unless you want all of the DS exclusives like the anime cutscenes and the minigames, get Adventure 2 and just download the other one for 900 points.
Ah, Sonic Adventure 2. My FAVORITE game of all time! I had no complaints with it, and it was the only game I actually had the patience to go for 100%. Heck, I can pick up this game any day and have fun now. In fact...I think I will. :P

I just bought this game today, and I can say this right now. It's amazing how inaccurate the homing attack can be sometimes. If the analog stick isn't in just the right direction, I end up dying
I really need to get this game at some point. Still, my current favorite 3D Sonic game is Colors, and I don't see Adventure 2 changing that. Now Generations is another story
My 7 year old daughter and I played this game for the very first time. This game is far and away better than any sonic game released after it. We don’t look for sonic games to add for the collection, thou sonic adventure 1&2 are very fun
This game made more recent Sonic Games like Generations look like crap, Both Adventure Games were good, although this was much better thanks to it's detailed 2P mode. 100% agreement with your review, although i also noticed problem once you get Bounce Bracelet, where it activates instead of Light Dash. Plenty of replayabilty if you have friends to play with & yes i liked the story better for Adventure, & wonder if we will ever get SA3.
I've been playing through this game again, once again reminding myself of how goddamn fun it is. I'm also going for getting all 180 emblems which is so far proving to be a beast of a challenge.
i love SAB2!! one of my favourite games!! i may sound stereotypically girly, but i loved raised Chao! i find them cute, and they always calmed me down after ragequiting a difficult level/mission.

I LOVE this game. Not only did it have amazing multiplayer, but it introduced two of my favorite characters in the sonic series.

You didn't have any trouble with the 2nd to last boss? That was the 2nd most difficult boss I've ever faught.

@Actevise Not yet, it's hard! I do however have all A rankings with Sonic, Shadow, and Knuckles, and I'm really close with Tails, Robotnik, and Rouge.

Isn't Shadow technically SA3? It's storyline IS loosely based off of SA2's story after all...(aside from Maria's death)
