    Hello,Mr Williamson,I’m Taiwanese.I read your books and I love your videos.However, I can’t understand Japanese. That made me sad and I couldn’t fully understand every single concept in your videos. Would you mind adding English subtitles in the following videos?

    Thank you, Nic, for the new Video!! Your videos are too nice to try to forget about English when I got overwhelmed with English!! BTW, how do you say "帰ってもいいか上司に頼んだ” in English? Is it "I asked to to go home to my boss"?

    • @nicwilliamson
      @nicwilliamson  10 месяцев назад +6

      That's a good question 😉
      I most situations, "I asked to go home." is enough.
      But if you really want to include 上司に, you should say "I asked my boss if I could go home."
      Does that make sense?

    いつか音源例文付きの教材になって再販売してくれるのを待ってます。ニックさんの本は何冊かもっていますが、中でも一番良かったのが
    「中学レベルの英単語でネイティブとサクサク話せる本」です。
    一つの型に対して15、16本の例文
    があるのはとても素敵でした💓
    圧倒的に勉強しやすいです📚📖

    帰ってもよいか聞いたは I asked to go home. ですが、帰っても良いか「上司に」聞いた場合は、I asked my boss if I could go home early. ←これでよいでしょうか?

    4:36 帰っても良いか上司に尋ねた
    と言いたい時は、I asked my boss if I could go home.で良いんですかね?I asked to go home.だけでは「上司に」の部分が抜けてしまいますよね?

    • @nicwilliamson
      @nicwilliamson  10 месяцев назад +4

      That's right😉
      大体は、「上司に」と言う必要なくて、文脈などで分かる場合が多かったり、誰に聞いたかという情報がそこまで大事じゃなかったりもしますけど、
      「上司に」を入れたければ、仰る通り、I asked my boss if I could go home.ですね👍
