Believe me Tommy, some of them are massive. Julie as Bet on Coronation Street was an institution & Cheryl was a big character on Eastenders - it's hard to make the comparison to US soap stars - like 99% of the population watches Corrie and/or Easties or has them on in the house. Julian Clary is a comedy god. The Nolans weren't my thing but Spandau Ballet sure was - BTW Martin was also in Easties for a while. The models & others are the usual wannabes or wasabits but this is a huge lineup!

It's funny how I don't realize how different our cultures (American vs. British) are until I don't recognize any of their celebs (other than the conceited journalist because she was on the yahoo front page). lol The only one I knew of was The Situation. It's funny how none of them had ever heard of the Jersey Shore and for a long while here you could never turn on the t.v. without hearing about them.
PERFECT group of housemates. I just watched a documentary on Ashley McKenzie called "The Bad Boy Olympian" so I was excited to see him enter the house. He's GORGEOUS, he's an Olympian & he always speaks his mind. And then, there's "The Situation" - I've only ever seen him in a house full of fellow douche-bags...so I can't wait to see how he adjusts to a house full of high-brow British "celebs" who don't have a clue who he is. His body looks good but as soon as 'The Situation' talked about how he thinks he is good looking the attraction to him left. It's an immediate turn off if a guy talks about how ripped he is or how many ladies he can get with. Modesty is the key. You don't have to be EXTREMELY modest but you have to at least be down to earth.
At times the camera angle made Julie Goodyear a "Wae West" look alike as she swayed hands on hips I almost expected a "it's not the men in my life, it's the life in my men" to the Jersey Shore actor....looks like good series!

Most "celebrities" that go on CBB are considered D list celebrities , meaning this is the show of last resort to try to get their names back out into the public minds again. The only thing I've ever taken away from this show is that the people who end up on CBB are the ones who have lost face in a very public way and they're there to redeem themselves.
