Montana Spring Black Bear Hunting PACK DUMP! (2023 Update)

Just like I did last year, I did a relatively-thorough pack dump video of most of the gear that accompanies me on my spring bear hunts here in NW Montana where I live. Spring black bear hunting is by far my favorite hunt and I put ALOT of thought into what I want to lug around with me on the various trips I do. A lot of it might seem very straightforward, especially for avid bear hunters, but some of this might also be a surprise, perhaps mind-blowing even. I try to make sure I have a good reason for everything I haul up a mountain, as well as making sure it could be used for more than one very specific thing, and I like to invest in quality gear so that I'm not packing down broken paperweights that quit on me at the least opportune moment.
So, grab a hot tea, sit back, and take in my two cents about what makes a good spring bear hunting pack list.

Thank you! Snow pack is fine, possibly good. As you know where the bears WON'T be and can focus only on the grassy areas, they'll be much more concentrated.
