A cast of colourful characters living together in a "street" or "village", all of them with their own lives and happenings, You get glimpses into everyone's lives, and while it's mostly comical, there are very serious, grounded and heartfelt moments. Or moments showing a disturbing reality that we rarely see or hear about (like Narine's entire saga of trying to escape Patsy's abuse, his struggles with reporting it to the police and even his contemplation of suicide.
