    "We have roundness"!! I love it! That's a nice skeleton key, well done. That thing you found then lost looks like a piece that went on my grandmothers bed and had a light attached to the long stem end, I'm in my late 60's now and remember it as a child, so it could be worth looking for again.

    The mystery metal item looks like the wall-fitting that fed a gas lamp, to me. The complex end goes onto the pipe in the wall, and the gauze and shade go onto the curly tube part.

    Great video. AT pro does hold its own against the much higher priced machine in that particular case.
    Thanks!

    6:15 I've seen those on back porches of large antebellum mansions, they where mounted on railings and had flower pots attacked to them, I think it's just a flow pot holder.

    Son, I really enjoyed your video, I also have an AT PRO and Love it, if you use the Iron Audio button even on the 86 readings or less and it sounds funky its a bottle cap or a nail or worse. I placed a Double Eagle on the floor to see what it said and it was 70, I did that with a $10 and a $5 gold piece and it all read 70 and when I got like a static sound, its quite unusual sound it was a Platinum piece of jewelry.. Its just a lil bit of trivia but every hunt is an adventure. I've been doing this for around 40 years and we didn't have these cams, of course we didn't advertise either...lol.

    the item that looks like a large coin I believe is a civil war large flat button and it appears that it still has its post. if that's what it is that's a pretty good find.

    I loved the hunt. Too bad you lost that ornate piece of metal. Perhaps it was half of a pair of Victorian valence curtain rods? Just an uneducated guess, ha. How wonderful to find coins that old!

      I usually use the pro zero mode. If it is a lot of iron trash i will run it up to 40 to discriminate the iron out.

    if your doing a test video, you should of kept them both in water.
    so question, this Excalibur it doesn't give you number reaDings on targets?
    and which one is better with less bulky?
    and lighter wt?,
    which one has less wt and discomfort stress on your arm?
    coils the same size?
    what depth can get target signals in water comparison for both?
    sorry u doing a comparison, then do it right, bet others can add to this list.
    I did see Excalibur has a faulty connection issue, so how long had u had that machine, did u drop or rub that area that u can remember?
    how much to replace that part.
    how long does each machine battery last?

      I only had the excalibur a week or so. It was under warranty. The new one is working great! with the excalibur controls on my belt it is lighter than the AT pro. I prefer the excalibur at the salty ocean and the AT pro in the rivers where i am also looking for iron. HH

    Pretty good hunt there Gig, u did good, lots of great finds. Looks like the Pro came thru for u. I mostly hunt saltwater so choose the excal over my pro but choose the pro when I hunt freshwater sites. Ever try the 5x8 on ur pro, that's what I use for freshwater? But that NEL hunter looks good, gotta check one out. Thanks for sharing, liked ur video, my first time watching so I will subscribe...HH

      I'm beginning to hate my ATPRO. I live in RI and only hunt the beach. Can't stop it from beeping on the wet sand over minerals...not good ones! Learned this after the fact ..so dissappointed

      Try using the custom pro mode and eliminate everything under 60 and manually set ground balance to 42.

    • @Gigmaster
      @Gigmaster  8 лет назад +3

      I never let them run out. i always replace them at halfway because i don't want them to fail during a hunt but i would guess it would go 3 - 6 hr trips with no problem?

    • @ScottAReid
      @ScottAReid 8 лет назад

      thanks for the information. is that 3, 6 hour trips or 3 to 6 hour trips? hope its the 1st as that is around 18 hours on a set of batteries.

    • @Gigmaster
      @Gigmaster  6 лет назад

      I am a fan of whatever detector works! I have used the AT Pro over the last few years with great success but i have recently purchased an XP deus and An excalibur 800. I am running the new ones through some tests. Right now it looks like the excalibur will be replacing my AT Pro on some water hunts and the Deus and excalibur both look good on land but I am leaning to the Deus right now for land but more review may change that!

    • @thedeanisin256
      @thedeanisin256 6 лет назад +1

      Nice, I'm new to detecting and after some research I went with the Racer2, so far so good I do like it just got to get the hang of it I did look over the deus but for my first machine I thought it maybe a little too much for right now did hear a lot of good on the AT series but I'd love to take the minelab equinox 800 for a test spin, I'm from Northeast Pa. coal country so lots of trash(old iron), small streams and heavy woods, TY for the chat god speed!
