- My husky loves watermelon! Actually all of our dogs love watermelon! Today we are heading out on a short little camping trip! My cousins are up from Floida, and my Mom called and said she booked some sites, so we said why not! This isn't our typical massive adventure trip, more of a chill trip hanging out with family and friends!

I had a similar raised mesh bed for my boxer, I put a tiny fan(like a Polar Wind from Mejier) to create a cool breeze underneath. She loved it on hot days.

PLEASE do not come on here spreading misinformation like that! I will use this as a teaching moment for you and anyone else reading it.
Watermelon rind is technically edible, yes, BUT you should NOT feed it to your dogs. The rind is very thick and tough, and this makes it difficult for your dog to digest. Because of this, it can cause things like upset stomach, bloating, vomiting, abdominal pain, and if the peice was big enough, it can cause obstruction becuase it's so hard to digest with can result in having do do a very exspensive emergency surgery to get it.
So no, the rind is NOT good or dogs.
The girls had to go potty because they had watermelon. I hate the summer heat and bugs. Can't go outside without long sleeves. I get mosquito bit a lot. We have a lot of noisy Katy-dids here in Georgia at night and cicadas during the day. It has been near 100 degrees here and humid. I just stay indoors. lol
Uggg… send some of that rain to VA… we’ve had very little rain… my grass looks half dead. I probably should water it, but it’s been so hot you really have to do it very early in the morning or early evening. I’m usually too tired to water in the evening and I hate having to get up extra early to do it in the morning.
For mosquitos try putting original Skin so Soft from Avon and they will stay away from you. It works great and I live in North Carolina and have never been bitten, not even at dusk.

It had also gotten pretty bad in the parts of Iowa that are near the border between Iowa and Minnesota, living near the river isn't the best atm (I know from experience..)

No link to the bug zapper(s)? I've got lots of summer gnats, but right now I'm using the sticky paper tube/spirals. They fill up fast, can be a nightmare if you accidentally touch them, & are quite difficult to dispose of.
