Good job keeping to your schedule, OMV. Did you have the extreme heat/humidity a few days ago that we had here in NYC? If so, good for you for keeping your discipline and getting your training done in the extreme weather. [I faltered in the face of the high humidity, being a former Los Angeles native used to non-humid dry, desert heat.] Maybe we can surgically transfer some of your fitness into my legs somehow, just before the NYC Marathon!
Hey Cathy!...We did have similar conditions this past week, but luckily, it was my cutback week, so most of the runs were five miles or less. Just took it extra easy.
@@oldmanvanrunning OMV, that's good, if you were taking it easy in the horrid weather last week. The schedule you have shown us onscreen has some serious speed workouts coming up, so I hope the weather will cooperate for you.
I love your reviews and looking into buying a daily trainer that I can also use in half marathon, I have a mild pronation on my right foot. I am contemplating on buying Kayano 30 or this superblast, If it is up to u to pick one, what would you choose? thanks and keep the videos coming
Hey Tim! Thanks for the comment and question!....For me, the Glycerin GTS 20 is my choice over the Gel-Kayano 30 so far. I feel it's a more versatile shoe, I don't get hot spots like I get in the Kayano series, the upper is better, and it's got just the right amount of cushioning. I will say the K30 is the more stable of the two, but not significantly enough to override my preference. That being said, the K30 is definitely an improvement over the K29, and if not for the hot spot issue, it would be a closer competition between the two.
I'm lucky to have many options that prohibit cyclist but have run and cycled on trails exactly like Farmington. When running i wouldn't mind a mirror setup to see who's coming. When cycling I've seen runners decide to turn around without looking and that scares the hell out of me. They just pull a u-turn. My rail trail prohibits ebikes (signs, no enforcement). Cyclists don't notify but they leave me some room. Cyclist don't notify perhaps because only OMV and I are the only runners not pumping music into our ears.
I’m glad you made a comment about this good for you stay safe my friend
It's getting crazy out there, especially with e-bikes and large groups of cyclists 3 abreast.
100%

Great video as always. Wanted to ask you opinion on the K30 compared to the Glycerin GTS 20. I'm a bit on the fence of getting the K30.
