Sharks had the easiest draw this year of any Top 8 team. Sharks with no bite tonight…gummy sharks. Rabbitohs too classy, too tough.
I watched the Sharks earlier in the season at home and the Roosters forwards were too strong and I thought the Sharks have a problem here. The Sharks have good backs but their forwards are not strong enough to match the top teams. However if they can bring in some quality front rowers, they can win the competition down the track. Right on half-time, when Finucane missed that tackle, the veteran was probably exhausted. They missed Talakai as well tonight.

Exactly. Played bottom 8 teams 15 times, top 8 teams just 9 times.
They played 11 games against teams that finished in the top 8 last year. Which was the same as the Cowboys or Rabbitohs. The draw is made prior to the season starting, so it can only be made on the basis of previous seasons.

When gagai and Reynolds left many had souths being 7th or 8th on the ladder which they were right about, but none of them expected them to make the final four, 5 straight preliminary finals is insane.
If they had stayed, with Latrell Mitchell playing, Souths would have won the competition this year and also in 2020 and 2021 if Latrell was playing.
5 prelims and no premiership to show for it😕
Sharks had no grit in defence and no cohesion in attack.
No forwards willing or able to roll up their sleeves and take on the Rabbits forwards.
They have a fullback playing halfback.

For a team whose defense got them that far and finishing second overall on the ladder, that defense was a total no-show from Cronulla tonight who eventually got turned into shark fin soup with the bunnies hopping all over them and making it into the last four at sharkies expense.
What a way to get pumped on the way home.
That close game last week should have been their wake up call. They had a week to study bunnies MO,s and weaknesses, and develop some strategies, but came up with nothing. It should have been their most intense week ever with regards to planning.

Souths dominated Sharks. Never saw any of that "danger" that got Sharks into the finals. Still good to see Penrith, Souths and Parramatta all looking like tough teams. Wonder if the Cowboys, who just pipped the Sharks, will put up a good fight or not?
Cows should win at home it's their first home semi in history but Parra could pull their pants down,either way I think it'll be a 13+ Win for either team I can't see it being a nail biter but I hope I'm wrong,Here's to a good game.

See what happened to the Roosters?.. they beat the Bunnies in round 25, a week later in the 1st week of the finals, the bunnies beat them pretty convincingly....the parra will be out for revenge this wknd so are the bunnies for the gf and regular season losses to the panthers.

Sharks momentum was lost after the disallowed Ramien try. The very first penalty of the game was iffy to, but Souths defended well.

Sharks should have been very aware that in another season game this year with Rabbitohs it was a touch one draw at half time to playing golden point and sharks won so they shouldn't have taken Rabbitohs lightly
