I totally agree with you. When I was starting my business people hid pretty much all of their vendor information. That’s completely their prerogative but I think it comes from a place of insecurity and I really enjoy helping bring other businesses up! ♥️
Alibaba and Ted hair was good vendors, but after bad experiences I switched to Bintu Hair Extensions, they haven’t screwed up my orders yet and I love the free shipping and the fact that they aren’t foreign. I heard they supply for some celebrity stylists, I kind of believe it too because I wasn’t expecting the quality to be as good as it is. I heard it was good but after my first shipment got here I was very surprised at the texture and how pretty they are, my clients love them! Your boxes are so pretty thanks for the videos they are so informative, please keep making them🥰

I’m so glad it was helpful! Of course. I’m hoping to do more business content in the future. Not silly at all. I used regular sterile gloves. You can get them at target or Walmart wherever is convenient. And then I used dollar store tweezers and pulled each individual lash off. The nice thing is most strip lashes have a small amount of adhesive so they should stick really easily to the new trays. I just transferred them over. It’s kind of meticulous and time consuming but you do save so much money! :)

Thank you so much! 🥰 I would definitely just say to go for it as well. It can seem daunting at first, but lash businesses are typically straight forward. I would say that the easiest online business I’ve ever had is in false eyelashes. It’s very lucrative and if marketed even just OK it should do pretty well. You do not need a license. If your business is scalable enough at a certain point you may want to consider getting an LLC, but i wouldn’t worry too much about licensing. You should be okay for a while! :)

It’s a difficult question to answer only because trends are ever-changing. Right now styles that are really popular we’re not popular two years ago and it makes it kind of tricky for a business owners because you have to really keep up with what is trending. If you are starting your false eyelash business I would follow a bunch of make up companies and then see what influencers they are posting and what styles these influencers have on their eyes. That’s at least what I would do to investigate what is trending at the moment! You could also Google it but sing first hand what is being marketed is usually the easiest way to know. Hello! I have a link to the packaging but the lashes themselves I purchased from some off brand eBay seller almost a year back. I haven’t used them since and have not restocked. The best way to find a great deal is to search for big packs of lashes like packs of 20 on Alibaba. The quality is really good I’ve purchased many different kinds. You save about $1.50 per unit by putting them in yourself from lash books. I hope this helps! ☺️

I have a wholesaler license which is pretty easy to get! I got mine through fast filing.com. Just don’t order the add on where it says they send you a hardcopy. It’s just the same sheet of paper in a different color for 45 extra dollars. Also I do not have an LLC. I might get one one day if I choose to expand.

Hii!! I personally really like the green one from duo. I have tried to convince myself to get lash extensions so many times but I always end up sticking with the strips. This glue is a non-irritant and it is hypoallergenic so it never irritates my eyes! Thank you for watching 💘
Hello! I would say to start off with like 10 styles. If you order too many at once you really can’t anticipate what styles will do best so do a little bit of research before hand on what is trending as far as Lash styles and then I would order the 10 most popular styles that you see selling. I ordered 100 when I started 💘

No problem! The vendor will do it for you. It’s super easy and quick! There are so many holographic styles to choose from if you don’t like the one I did! 🥰
@@chloeknorth this vendor just told me that for 5 styles of lashes for a total of 50 it’s going to be 328 for shipping and for lashes does that sound right ? Could you let me know where you can get the lashes without packaging that you package yourself ?
Of course! Yeah that unfortunately is pretty typical for vendors they up charge you for shipping to make more of a profit margin a lot of the time and it’s sort of unavoidable. What I would recommend is filtering your search results for the actual containers for free shipping vendors and then I would go to eBay and buy lash packs like the lash books that are eight dollars for 50 of them (25 pair). Then I would put them in yourself you’ll probably save a couple hundred dollars on labor and they took me about 5 to 6 hours between doing a quality check sanitizing them and then actually putting them into the packs. I definitely would not pay 325 for shipping.
So when you place your order with the logo, when do they reach out to you about adding your logo on the boxes? I'm afraid of placing my order & no one gets back to me to add my logo on the box. Am I missing something? Is there an insert option to share my logo on the website? Help.
OK I’m kind of nervous that I’m getting back to you six months late! So so sorry! I would recommend never purchasing the Eyelash boxes prior to communicating with the vendor about getting your logo on there. You can get your logo off of canvas for a $10 membership fee. Canva is used by all kinds of marketing companies and it is so easy to make a logo. Download your logo that you create as a PNG in a PDF file and send them both of them. Ask them to send you back an example of how the logo will look on the boxes. They should send you a pretty accurate depiction of what the boxes will look like in person. If it doesn’t look like they know what they’re doing or if they do not respond, just work with somebody else! There are so many vendors to choose from with eyelashes and eyelash boxes! I don’t remember exactly because I had launched these a couple years ago but I was sold out of probably half of the styles within three months. Plus the really nice thing about selling false eyelashes is they are so light weight so the shipping did not cost me much. There’s just not a lot of overhead costs with things like this so I definitely made good profit off of them. Thank you for watching! 💘
So you were probably seeing nice lashes for $10 because they are being upcharged. I don’t know exactly where you’re looking but I would definitely say when it comes to false eyelashes it’s not always a you get what you pay for. Lots of companies know that people will pay extremely high prices for lashes because so many people want to start false eyelash businesses now. I know how important budgeting is when starting a business so I would definitely say to keep looking and trust your gut. Definitely do not pay $10 per pair of lashes! It will be very hard to make a profit. Good luck with your business!

Hello! I typically use the same formula for purchasing and selling. Before I buy from any supplier, I do the math on the very least I’m willing to make, and what I actually want to make off of it. I add together the shipping cost to get the item to me, as well as the shipping cost to get the item to a buyer, and then I add that to the cost per unit. If you pretend like the shipping cost is part of the cost per unit and you know you won’t make enough money that’s typically when I decide not to get an item or find a new supplier. Hello! I did not trademark my logo. I was super broke when I started my business but if I had a lot more money I might’ve. 💘 it’s also super hard to trademark one specific thing. My best example of why trademarking is tricky is you can only trademark one defining feature of a product. You cannot trademark a whole product or an entire logo. For example, Nike shoes are replicated even at Walmart but they are not allowed to put a checkmark on anything. Their trademark is on the checkmark not on the shoe styles. Same thing goes for Louis Vuitton shoes. The soul of the shoe is red so they trademarked the red sole of the shoe, but they cannot trademark the styles of the shoe. I hope this makes sense! Hi! You can buy lash trays and boxes (typically they come together) from Alibaba. It’s the biggest wholesale website globally and they have so many super cool options to choose from as far as vendors and styles!
I do not pay for shipping by filtering my search results to no shipping. I do this because shipping overseas can be the same cost as the product itself and it just never feels worth it to me. My biggest tip if you’re starting your business right now is to not purchase from the first wholesaler you like. There is a plethora of vendors online so I feel like you can kind of get ripped off because you can find the same exact style of whatever you’re looking for from another company for cheaper and often times with free shipping! Not necessarily. It’s kind of tricky because when eyelashes are really shiny they typically are synthetic. Real mink lashes do not have much of a shine to them. However, just like our real hair when healthy, it does have a shine to it. This is so confusing probably but just look out for if it is exceptionally shiny and plastic looking. Hope this was helpful! Question!! I have been working with this vendor for weeks now. Decided on beautiful items. Put my order in a few days ago and when he sent me invoice it had 65$ for shipping. I was taken back and was like no way am I paying this amount for shipping. I could purchase 40 more lashes at this price. I guess my question is should I just pay it or move on!! Unfortunately he has a item that no one is selling yet and I’d love to be the first to get out here. I’m stuck.
Yeah no worries! So this is sadly super common and pretty normal in the vendor space. I initially thought I was being gouged as well but it is pretty common to have to pay for shipping. The only way you usually don’t have to pay for shipping is if you filter your vendor results for vendors on websites that do not charge for shipping. The only way I ever make it worth my while is if I make a bigger order. If you’re buying 50 units for example and it’s $65 shipping it just brought each unit up by over a dollar in price. But if you buy 100 it’s only $.50 extra unit so it makes more sense if you’re able to purchase a little bit more than what you were planning on ordering. Hope this helps!

Eyelashes can absolutely be drop shipped! How to do that is a different question that I’m currently investigating. Lol I would anticipate that people will not be holding too much inventory at their boutiques for their home offices just because drop shipping is such a great option. I will have a video up in the next couple of months about drop shipping! I definitely plan on getting into it.

You could not file for a Business license for your business if it’s making under the amount of money that your state requires until you need to file taxes if that makes sense! :) if I were you since it’s about $100 or so, I would file for the LLC because you eventually will need to anyways to sell. But for a really small business nobody, will come after you for not filing. Check out an operating agreement LLC 💖
Hello! When you incorporate your company name, it’s yours. So your logo is secure for the most part. If your a small business, trademarking will cost time and money when likely no one will steal your logo. 😊 personally, I wouldn’t worry about it right away when starting out.

The vendor link doesn’t work
Unfortunately, a lot of the links I posted a year or two ago no longer work. I will be posting new vendors with active links since some companies just do not work out after a couple of years. Due to this issue, the links will lead to unfound pages of old businesses. At the time of posting, They were in business and active links. What is more popular faux or mink lashes ?
It’s a difficult question to answer only because trends are ever-changing. Right now styles that are really popular we’re not popular two years ago and it makes it kind of tricky for a business owners because you have to really keep up with what is trending. If you are starting your false eyelash business I would follow a bunch of make up companies and then see what influencers they are posting and what styles these influencers have on their eyes. That’s at least what I would do to investigate what is trending at the moment! You could also Google it but sing first hand what is being marketed is usually the easiest way to know. Hello! I have a link to the packaging but the lashes themselves I purchased from some off brand eBay seller almost a year back. I haven’t used them since and have not restocked. The best way to find a great deal is to search for big packs of lashes like packs of 20 on Alibaba. The quality is really good I’ve purchased many different kinds. You save about $1.50 per unit by putting them in yourself from lash books. I hope this helps! ☺️

Hi I deeply appreciate the information I also would like to know do you have to have an LLC or business license to do this.
I have a wholesaler license which is pretty easy to get! I got mine through fast filing.com. Just don’t order the add on where it says they send you a hardcopy. It’s just the same sheet of paper in a different color for 45 extra dollars. Also I do not have an LLC. I might get one one day if I choose to expand.

Hii!! I personally really like the green one from duo. I have tried to convince myself to get lash extensions so many times but I always end up sticking with the strips. This glue is a non-irritant and it is hypoallergenic so it never irritates my eyes! Thank you for watching 💘

Hello! I would say to start off with like 10 styles. If you order too many at once you really can’t anticipate what styles will do best so do a little bit of research before hand on what is trending as far as Lash styles and then I would order the 10 most popular styles that you see selling. I ordered 100 when I started 💘

No problem! The vendor will do it for you. It’s super easy and quick! There are so many holographic styles to choose from if you don’t like the one I did! 🥰

@@chloeknorth this vendor just told me that for 5 styles of lashes for a total of 50 it’s going to be 328 for shipping and for lashes does that sound right ? Could you let me know where you can get the lashes without packaging that you package yourself ?
Of course! Yeah that unfortunately is pretty typical for vendors they up charge you for shipping to make more of a profit margin a lot of the time and it’s sort of unavoidable. What I would recommend is filtering your search results for the actual containers for free shipping vendors and then I would go to eBay and buy lash packs like the lash books that are eight dollars for 50 of them (25 pair). Then I would put them in yourself you’ll probably save a couple hundred dollars on labor and they took me about 5 to 6 hours between doing a quality check sanitizing them and then actually putting them into the packs. I definitely would not pay 325 for shipping.

So when you place your order with the logo, when do they reach out to you about adding your logo on the boxes? I'm afraid of placing my order & no one gets back to me to add my logo on the box. Am I missing something? Is there an insert option to share my logo on the website? Help.
OK I’m kind of nervous that I’m getting back to you six months late! So so sorry! I would recommend never purchasing the Eyelash boxes prior to communicating with the vendor about getting your logo on there. You can get your logo off of canvas for a $10 membership fee. Canva is used by all kinds of marketing companies and it is so easy to make a logo. Download your logo that you create as a PNG in a PDF file and send them both of them. Ask them to send you back an example of how the logo will look on the boxes. They should send you a pretty accurate depiction of what the boxes will look like in person. If it doesn’t look like they know what they’re doing or if they do not respond, just work with somebody else! There are so many vendors to choose from with eyelashes and eyelash boxes! When you first got started how much did you make the first 3 months?
I don’t remember exactly because I had launched these a couple years ago but I was sold out of probably half of the styles within three months. Plus the really nice thing about selling false eyelashes is they are so light weight so the shipping did not cost me much. There’s just not a lot of overhead costs with things like this so I definitely made good profit off of them. Thank you for watching! 💘

So you were probably seeing nice lashes for $10 because they are being upcharged. I don’t know exactly where you’re looking but I would definitely say when it comes to false eyelashes it’s not always a you get what you pay for. Lots of companies know that people will pay extremely high prices for lashes because so many people want to start false eyelash businesses now. I know how important budgeting is when starting a business so I would definitely say to keep looking and trust your gut. Definitely do not pay $10 per pair of lashes! Hello! I typically use the same formula for purchasing and selling. Before I buy from any supplier, I do the math on the very least I’m willing to make, and what I actually want to make off of it. I add together the shipping cost to get the item to me, as well as the shipping cost to get the item to a buyer, and then I add that to the cost per unit. If you pretend like the shipping cost is part of the cost per unit and you know you won’t make enough money that’s typically when I decide not to get an item or find a new supplier. Did you trademark your logo ✨💕
Hello! I did not trademark my logo. I was super broke when I started my business but if I had a lot more money I might’ve. 💘 it’s also super hard to trademark one specific thing. My best example of why trademarking is tricky is you can only trademark one defining feature of a product. You cannot trademark a whole product or an entire logo. For example, Nike shoes are replicated even at Walmart but they are not allowed to put a checkmark on anything. Their trademark is on the checkmark not on the shoe styles. Same thing goes for Louis Vuitton shoes. The soul of the shoe is red so they trademarked the red sole of the shoe, but they cannot trademark the styles of the shoe. I hope this makes sense! Hi! You can buy lash trays and boxes (typically they come together) from Alibaba. It’s the biggest wholesale website globally and they have so many super cool options to choose from as far as vendors and styles!
What do you mean you don't pay for shipping? Did you pay for shipping for samples? All the vendors I talked to said they charge shipping for samples.
I do not pay for shipping by filtering my search results to no shipping.
I do this because shipping overseas can be the same cost as the product itself and it just never feels worth it to me. My biggest tip if you’re starting your business right now is to not purchase from the first wholesaler you like. There is a plethora of vendors online so I feel like you can kind of get ripped off because you can find the same exact style of whatever you’re looking for from another company for cheaper and often times with free shipping! Not necessarily. It’s kind of tricky because when eyelashes are really shiny they typically are synthetic. Real mink lashes do not have much of a shine to them. However, just like our real hair when healthy, it does have a shine to it. This is so confusing probably but just look out for if it is exceptionally shiny and plastic looking. Hope this was helpful! Can you share your eBay lash vendor !?
Question!! I have been working with this vendor for weeks now. Decided on beautiful items. Put my order in a few days ago and when he sent me invoice it had 65$ for shipping. I was taken back and was like no way am I paying this amount for shipping. I could purchase 40 more lashes at this price. I guess my question is should I just pay it or move on!! Unfortunately he has a item that no one is selling yet and I’d love to be the first to get out here. I’m stuck.
Yeah no worries! So this is sadly super common and pretty normal in the vendor space. I initially thought I was being gouged as well but it is pretty common to have to pay for shipping. The only way you usually don’t have to pay for shipping is if you filter your vendor results for vendors on websites that do not charge for shipping. The only way I ever make it worth my while is if I make a bigger order. If you’re buying 50 units for example and it’s $65 shipping it just brought each unit up by over a dollar in price. But if you buy 100 it’s only $.50 extra unit so it makes more sense if you’re able to purchase a little bit more than what you were planning on ordering. Hope this helps!

Can lashes be drop shipped?
Eyelashes can absolutely be drop shipped! How to do that is a different question that I’m currently investigating. Lol I would anticipate that people will not be holding too much inventory at their boutiques for their home offices just because drop shipping is such a great option. I will have a video up in the next couple of months about drop shipping! I definitely plan on getting into it.

Thank you so much! It depends on how big your business is. You could not file for a Business license for your business if it’s making under the amount of money that your state requires until you need to file taxes if that makes sense! :) if I were you since it’s about $100 or so, I would file for the LLC because you eventually will need to anyways to sell. But for a really small business nobody, will come after you for not filing. Check out an operating agreement LLC 💖
If your going to start a business I suggest you get your license if your thinking about going bigger just in case someone steals your work!
How can we get our logos trademarked for a low cost?
Hello! When you incorporate your company name, it’s yours. So your logo is secure for the most part. If your a small business, trademarking will cost time and money when likely no one will steal your logo. 😊 personally, I wouldn’t worry about it right away when starting out.
