    Well I guess Indonesia can say goodbye to rock and metal shows now because apparently the fans over there would prefer to get all pissy and throw a gigantic temper tantrum and ruin all the equipment because their favorite band decided like any reasonable human would that their own safety was more important than playing on an unstable stage that could've easily fallen apart at any minute and forced a cancellation if they'd kept going. This doesn't set a very good example for bands who want to go over there now and like I said, this behavior is probably going to make the amount of times those fans get to see their favorite bands there even less than they already do compared to other countries and deservedly so if this is how they react to a show being stopped early

    1. People got injured
    2. The air circulation not good so people got exhausted, difficult to breath.
    3. The stage was bouncing , and also the floor of audience tho. Bcs the show was on 2nd Floor. Which is can be the worse incident it the show still goes on.
    And then people get mad when so goes off. But that behavior from few people who went up on stage is not good. There some pro contra from BMTH fans Indonesia about that people who went on stage cuz that not gonna us to do.
    As Metal fans from Indonesia that was unpredictable about shows gonna be stop bcs the lack of propper stage. But the attitude not be claimed as good behavior.

  • @IvanChandraL
    @IvanChandraL 11 месяцев назад +44

    i was there so i can give you some context on why this happened
    1. there was some "issues" that we saw. The sound was dead while they were performing Parasite Eve, and then the screen was glitchy and froze while they were performing die4u.
    2. They said gonna take a break because it's so hot there. Even the head of promotor came out and said to the audience they were taking a break and we should wait patiently
    3. almost an hour later the head of the promotor came out again and said "there were some stage issues and we had to stop the show. So you guys can go home from the exit door right there"
    we didn't even know the real problem was the venue is unsafe. We were just told to suck it up and go home without any compensation (at that time). And turns out the dead sound was purposely stopped because there was a fan who injured himself while moshing, so they had to stop the song to take care of the fan first. And also the freezing screen is because they had to stop the show early due to shaking stage
    But yeah, no matter who is to blame, the fans shouldn't rushed to the stage and trash the set. Maybe it was because most of them (who rushed to the stage) are teenagers who only know BMTH from tiktok.
    I'm ashamed for what they did, and I hope BMTH could come back to Indonesia again and finish their concert

And not a light bounce, it bounces the whole time. Sad that it is stopped midway but I understand something worse might happen if they force it to continue (the sound system sucks anyway), there is a chance that the floor collapses. I watched this gig from the Festival B, right side of FOH. Let me tell you something, both the promoter and crowds (which consisted mainly Gen Zs & Alphas) are both to blame. Promoter obviously didn't perform the right due diligence; the venue was obviously over capacity, security was terribly lacking, there was even someone who broke a leg and medic was fetched for far too long. The crowd? Jesus, they literally rushed to the barricade and broke numerous steel barricade, reasoning that they wanted to get as close to the stage as possible.

    Let me explain here, so that night was actually a great night, but what people don't know is, the place there was very vulnerable and rocking when shadow moses was sung by BMTH, in the middle of the place there were also many people who almost fainted and it was so difficult for medical staff to get in. the crowd was dense, and what made the fans really disappointed was that the organizers casually evicted the crowds from the venue, perhaps that was what made the fans angry, the real fool was the organizers who were incompetent in selecting the venue. that's just my opinion

    @JambretBeHa 11 месяцев назад +2

    I was there. So let me get things right. I don't support they behavior rushing out to the stage, but i understand the dissappointment. Heres why.
    First, they are a die hard BMTH fan, they've been waiting the band for ages to come and play in indonesia. They come from all across indonesia. Some of them have to fly 3-6 hours to jakarta (indonesian capital). And the concert ticket prices are very expensive for most indonesian. Most of them have to save or loan.
    Second, and for me this is the most important point. When the promotor canceled the concert, they didn't tell it was because safety concern. They only said it was technical issue. IF ONLY, at that very moment the promotor tell that they can't continue because safety concern, and there will be refund, i think people will understand and none of that chaos will happened. We know the truth from ollie (bmth vocalist) the next day.
    Third and last point, like i said, i don't support their behavior rushing out the stage and throwing things, but in the end, nothing have been damaged. Bmth drummer post a story the next day showing photo of his drum kit and stating "my drum kit is okay".
    They dissapoint and angry towards the promotor. Not the band.

    i was there and the fans that rushed the stage DID NOT destroy or trashing the band equipments / sounds / or anything (well it seems like it in the video). They just expressed they disappointment with the promoter. It turns out the venue was not "strong enough". The event was held on the 3rd floor inside a mall, and the crowd approx 10k++ (i don't know the exact number), with massive number crowd headbanging together and mosh pit the venue floor was like having a small "earth quake" and makes the stage bouncing even harder. the promoter DID NOT expecting the powerful reaction from the crowd, as far as i know the choice for the venue was "missed calculation" for this kind of music. Hope BMTH knows how their fans is really that desperate to see they perform in front of their eyes and still want to perform in Indonesia in the future (even tho i think Oly and the band is disappoint with Indonesia.

    The problem was the poor choice of venue. The venue is never meant to be used for BMTH show.
    Even when it was used for a slow mellow band when nobody jump around, the stage still shaking a little bit.
    Secondly, idk when it started. But when BMTH fanbase got extremely bigger in my country, they start to become so toxic.
    It's not a new thing to them to start an argument with k-pop's fans or Coldplay's fans.
    I still don't understand why this error can happen. Especially with the event organization.
    Earlier this year we're hosting the Hammersonic show with the same event organization and everything went well.
    I can't believe the same EO who've done Hammersonic that well can make this level of error.

      A tour manager from abroad only knows the information provided to them by each venue, usually on paper, and occasionally they can see some videos online of the venue. They can’t go traveling to globe to check each venue in person. There’s no way a tour manager would know the legal maximum occupancy number and the maximum weight for the stage’s load bearing capacity if a venue is possibly giving an inaccurate description so they’ll make more money. You can’t blame a band’s tour manager or the band itself for choosing a venue if a specific venue is not entirely honest.
      Wanna be mad? Go ask to see the venue’s rider. I guarantee those contracts provided by the venue have inaccurate information.
      Regardless, there’s no excuse for people rushing the stage no matter what - especially if there’s a safety concern. Everyone should comply and evacuate. Thank heavens nobody got hurt or killed. Tragedies happen at venues all the time. The band and their management made the right call to cancel. If people don’t understand the need to cancel when human safety is at risk, and then they act like buffoons on top of it, they don’t deserve to be fans. There’s ZERO excuse for that kind of behavior.
