I think Kurt was made to be an only kitty! But I think you should bring him with you to the cat cafe sometimes and let him have little play dates with the cats.
You could always foster a rescue kitten who is looking for a permanent home and see how Kurt reacts. If he is ok with it, you can keep it, and if not, you can find it a new home.

Some cats like being by themselves. I have one of those. I had 3 cats, but when I moved out, I only took 2 because I knew the one cat wanted to be the only cat, and I was right. After I left home, the one cat who stayed behind with my mom turned into the happiest queen of the house. JUST LOVES IT!
You're a certified cat parent. Everything that happened in this video was very relatable. I also don't think it's necessary to get another cat, especially when you know their personalities. I have an 11 year old black cat who's quite reserved and quiet, but then recently we adopted a kitten who's so hyperactive that it just clashes with my senior cats personality. They're ok with each others presence now, but my senior definitely dislikes the surprise attack/ plays the young one keeps doing 😹😅
@@TimeIdle I do agree it was pretty late, she was 10 when we introduced the kitten. It was also all so sudden to adopt the street kitty 😅 Anyway, luckily the kitten learned quick and now know his boundaries with the elderly lol And I do believe they're on good terms now cause they've been greeting each other and they also lay close to each other. My black cat just gets annoyed when the young'n becomes playful 😆😅
you're describing my girlfriend's house situation. she had a foster from the streets, VERY aggressive, very hateful, she lets me pet her LITERALLY once per like hour or 2. if you pet her like twice in a row she will attack fearlessly. and tthen like last year or 2 years ago she got another cat, way younger, has that jovial energy, keeps attacking her and shit, and maria (the older one) doesn't really fuck with mila (the younger one) every day, but sometimes they will be sleeping close to one another (never touching i dont think) and they kinda have that like love hate relationship. but honestly even with the surprise attacks and all that, i feel like maria is better off with mila because of all the hours that the house is empty. regardless of how much they like being alone, having someone else there for like the 16h that we spend outside is good for them
@@frsgffybkwrmgrl it’s different. Say that to an only child. You’re already three, what’s an extra brother? The dynamics will change. When Kurt is older, he can benefit from an extra feline friend. But let him have all the attention in his first 3-5 years of life
Heyy, I would look at Kurt's personality how tolerant he is towards another cat. He may not like the cat or even attack and hurt him (which can happen with cats). Of course it can also be that he needs a friend and he enriches his life (after his owner of course haha). I also have a cat and am considering getting another cat. Mine is a very tolerant cat, but I have often seen other cats attack and hurt him. That's why I decided not to get a cat for now. What i would definitely advise you to do is: Don't suddenly bring another cat next to Kurt. He should get used to him slowly because cats are very attached to their territory Good luck ☺️🐱
In nature both big and small kitties are almost always solitary creatures, with an exception for lions. They can certainly learn to coexist with other cats even learn to like them. However, cat's vert rarely actually NEED friends. And in some cased bringing another cat into the household can do more harm than good to the kitty too. So sure, it could work...we have more than one cat ourselves. And while they get along and such, I wouldn't call them buddies either. So yeah, a lot of other pets usually do better with buddies and some shouldn't be alone. Like gunieapigs for example, some birds and such. But pets like cat's can be just as happy, and more often happier if they're an only cat who get's all the attention from the humans.
My Mufasa likes being the only one. I tried a couple years ago to get him a friend & he would just sulk in corner. Changed his whole personality. Luckily the cat friend I got him ended up on my friend’s ranch & he was MADE to be a ranch cat whereas Mufasa wants nothing to do with outside. So I think it depends on the cat 🐱 To me Kurt seems very happy being the only cat cuz he has you & you really give him all love & play & attention he needs. He is completely connected to you. It’s a great feeling. 🐱💕
We had the same cat for 14 years, as soon as we got 2 others it drastically changed his personality. It may have been bad timing but he unfortunately got very sick almost as soon as we got them. Kurt is perfect and from experience I would say bad idea to another cat.
Yeah I can only imagine how difficult that must have been.. getting 2 additional cats after you’ve had one cat for 14 years is certainly not the best idea.. it’s highly encouraged for cat owners to either adopt/buy cats in a pair or if you have one cat and want another, you should do it as early on in your cats life as possible as it’s far easier for them to adjust when they’re young.
I would say the same. Kurt seems to be very happy and the chill type. I think the only cat life suits him. Also my friend had 1 cat and it seems like her first cat never got used to the 2nd cat even months later
@@naylisyazwina6836 not really if they didn't expect another cat they will be angry but if you slowly socialize them they would be best buddies starting from separate rooms or one in a cage smelling another
I believe having a second cat could really enhance Kurt's life-think of the companionship, playtime, and mental stimulation they'd enjoy together, not to mention the reduced boredom and increased happiness, and it can even make caring for them easier with shared play and company. I raised cats throughout my life and right now I don't have a cat but if I had one, I would definitely get a second.
Some cats like to have companions, others do not. Especially if they have spent a huge part of their life as the only pet in the house, they may not mingle with other pets easily. Thas why introducing a friend is always better at kittenhood. That being said, adult cats can infact befriend new cats/kittens, if introduction is done properly. However the change in personality you mentioned is a very likely thing to happen, whether or not introduction goes well. If you do get a second cat then for about a week keep it in a room Kurt doesn't hang out much in. Then slowly Introduce scent by shaping their blanket or a single toy. Later during feeding times, food can be kept on either side of the door, thereby making both cats associate the other with something positive. After a while of doing this, you can finally let them see each other for a span of few minutes under your monitoring. Make sure they have plenty of food so they don't feel like their food is threatened and that they have places they can climb onto , if they feel threatened by the cats presence. You can also play with them while doing this. If all goes well, then you can do this everyday and gradually increase the time they spend together until you feel that they are fully used to eachother and would not attack. In that case you can let them spend some time without monitoring and gradually allow them to spend more time without monitoring. If they show aggression, immediately separate them and give them more time just eating food on either side of the door until you feel like you can reintroduce them again.
I have to say as yo Granny, I’ve been owned by many cats. Well, not that many, but 5 and 1 was pregnant when I rescued her! I have also been owned by many dogs. Currently owned by 2 cats 1 dog. When you add another animal to your family it most definitely changes the dynamic. If it were my best case scenario I’d have 1 cat and 1 dog. And I’d make sure its a good fit for all of us! Happiest of families wished to you and Kurt! ❤
i mean i can understand being scared - You and Kurt are the perfect duo, however, if you get another cat and the chemistry is right, maybe Kurt would be a little more independent
I have two cats, but they're brothers, so they've always been bonded together. They're very affectionate toward each other, but they also rough house from time to time. I think it's good that they have each other.
Introducing cats takes time. In the foster homes I bring cats too, we start by bringing over a blanket or toy that smells like the foster cat so the resident cat can smell it and learn the scent, become comfortable with it for a few days. After that, we choose a room in the house (usually a spare bedroom) the foster can stay in for maybe 5-7 days so they can hear and smell each other. Then we'll open or remove the door and install a diy baby-blocker of sorts. Tbh the best is if you can afford some plexy glass or a big sheet of clear plastic and drill some holes in it. Then they can see each other in addition to smell. But not everyone has that option so sometimes we'll do "monitored visits" where we bring the resident cat in the room the foster cats in and we do whatever makes resident cat comfortable. For example, I'll let resident cat sit on my lap and pet them while they observe the foster cat. Letting them sit on me in the new cats presence is like the feline way of saying "mine". It was their house first, so to convince them to get along with the new cat we need to establish new cat isn't a threat and trying to steal their human or their space. We'll do visits like that once a day for a week or so and then move up to a next level that's more specific to your situation. Either your cat adapts quickly and will explore the room- smell new cats stuff, interact with new cat- or theyll shy away. Depending on what they do, I'll either leave them to spend more time together, I'll open the door completely for them to wander out, or I'll put a cat tent in the living room or a room the resident cat spends most their time in. The cat tent is great for if resident cat needs more time to adjust- this way the new cat can be seen and heard and smelled in resident cats space without being intrusive or "stealing" their territory. These methods work with any aged cat you bring into the home. But keep in mind that bringing a kitten into an adult cats home is different than bringing an adult cat into an adult cats home. Kurt could adopt the kitten, befriend it, or find it annoying or even a threat altho that last one is least likely tbh. Kurt could befriend an adult cat or even develop a relationship of sorts but that typically takes longer bc a cat of equal or greater size is more of a threat. Personally, I would suggest a cat that's calm and physically smaller. Could be female or male. Idk how Kurt reacts to different genders- has he ever met other cats? Maybe you have friends with cat(s) you could do a test run with? Or maybe you could try fostering a cat or kitten until they find a forever home (usually only between 2 weeks and 4 months). That would allow you to witness his reaction and prep him for someone new entering his territory
It really depends on the cat. Personally, I’ve owned cats that never ever got along with any other cats no matter how much time had passed. I also own a cat that needed a companion even if he didn’t originally have one (he had some major anxiety and adopting another cat has helped him out a lot). I’d put some real consideration into this as it’s a pretty big deal to bring another pet home. Also, I would do some research on the health of another cat if you are considering one. Cats can easily transfer certain illnesses to one another so make sure you find out their bloodwork before you adopt! Don’t accidentally put Kurt at risk. If he’s a good, healthy boy then make sure his future roommate (if you get one) is also good and healthy.
Amazing video!! I wanna adopt Kurt so badly!!! He's so cute, but I can't. 3:05 - 3:10 I love how Kurt just started beating up the fake cat. Not gonna lie Kurt is pretty protective of you. I can't wait for more!!!!
A second cat can provide companionship and reduce feelings of loneliness and boredom for your current cat, especially when you're not at home. As an owner of SIX cats, I can prove this. But the decision to get a second cat should be based on your cat's individual personality, your living situation, and your willingness to commit to providing a happy and harmonious environment for both felines.
I would recommended you separate them through a cat gate and let them see each other until they get used to it. And once that’s done start moving them closer and closer together I did that to my cat and now they are litterally best friends
I’m in the no-2nd-cat camp. Twice now I’ve had a ginger and a calico, both indoor cats, and the ginger was super territorial and aggressive to the calico. Even though the gingers were cuddle bunnies with me.
I can relate to this scenario, I got my first cat in August 2019 and until November 2021 he was an only "child" and was totally reliant on me. I didn't have the luxury to work remotely or not at all so I was gone 10-12 hours a day. I started to notice him changing like losing interest in play, becoming lethargic and depressed. I ended up adopted an 8 year old orange medium hair cat from a foster home of a rescue organization. The perfect answer for both as they both came to life and today they are besties and inseparable. I pay attention equally individually and together but they also have each other. Best decision.
The cost of owning a cat per month is around $30-$60. If you count litter, food, toys and water. Then if you account for shots per year and vet visit. That’s around $250…sooo cats are around $1,000-$1,200 a year to own.
You could go to the shelter or rescue with Kurt. Let Kurt pick out a buddy. See if a cat comes up to you and Kurt. He might meet his new best friend. Or you'll know if he's not ready to share his home with another cat.
I was scared to get my orange cat a buddy bc he was a jealous one. Turned out to be the best thing bc they can drive eachother crazy but theyve grown closer and i love seeing them groom eachother.
Sure you can, I have an orange tabby that I also got early in the pandemic as a kitten - same story. Rescued a much younger kitten a year later and she was very scared and unsure of everything. My resident cat basically raised her and took care of her. They bonded together quite well, you can tell they're not siblings since they don't like to be together all the time but they'll groom each other and sometimes sleep next to each other. So I think if you don't try, you probably won't know 😅
I'd only get him a youngish kitten, one that's been fostered and reared well by humans but learned to cat with other cats. Kurt would love to play with it, obviously, and he'd probably love being a "big bro" and still Dad's "first born" x Nell.
Kurt actually isn’t aggressive to Kurt number two - that’s how cats play fight! Like dogs, he isn’t being vocal, doesn’t have his hair raised, and isn’t showing signs of distress while ‘attacking’ him. That’s a possible indicator that Kurt might do well with another feline buddy who would be happy to engage in his antics. Of course always play it safe though. Maybe you can arrange for Kurt to meet another cat that is friendly in a controlled environment. Also as many people have suggested, you could foster a kitten temporarily (foster fail is always an option too if you fall in love lol). Some cats love others cats, some don’t. We adopted both of my cats together when they were kittens and they used to play all the time but now one of them is always jealous of the other lol
They will be territorial at first, after you give them a little time, they will be chill at each others presence. My cat is a lot like yours and when I got my 2nd one, she wasn’t very happy. She hissed a lot and acted differently. But one I started feeding them together/near each other they started getting comfortable. So don’t be afraid to get Kurt a friend and you can always try to resolve behavioral issues with your vet. I definitely don’t regret my decision. Now my little ones burn of their zoomies with each other and snuggle when I am gone. Best of luck!
You’d be surprised about how adaptable kittens are! I know it’s a scary thought to bring a completely new cat into your home where Kurt has reigned supreme as the sole owner of the home since the beginning.. it will most certainly take an adjustment period for Kurt and a new cat to get used to each other. I personally believe it’s worth it and they’ll end up being inseparable but it’s all good if you don’t! I’m sure Kurt will be more than happy to be your one and only cat 🐈
My cat is very attached to me and has a bit of anxiety because of the situation he was in before I rescued him lol but when I brought home a second kitty, they fell in love and they play all the time. I think most cats like having a friend. Of course plenty don’t, but overall I think cats enjoy the company of other cats. Also we do care about you!!
If you want another cat but you're worried that it'll stress Kurt out, foster a kitten for a week (a kitten instead of an older cat because it'll stress him out less i won't see it as much of a threat.) Introduce them like you'd introduce him to a cat you'd be keeping permanently - a lot of positive reinforcement until they start to get comfortable around eachother. For every positive interaction Kurt has with the kitten, reward him. Don't expect him to like the foster kitten at first but if he starts showing signs of being comfortable around another cat and it's not negatively changing his personality then it might be good to get another cat for him. Always remember to foster from a place that allows their foster animals to be with other pets!
I feel like for the reason you stated - HOW reliant he became on you emotionally is EXACTLY why you should get another. I used to have so much guilt when I’d leave the house and my poor baby boy was left all alone. Without fail he’d be waiting at the door, meowing frantically at my return 💔 You’re right it needs to be the RIGHT kitten, but NO kitty is going to change your guys dynamic. Me and my first are still glued to each others hips - But my baby gingy that we got when he was 1, is now everything to us, too. My older boy will still put him down when he gets too frisky 😅 But also grooms, teaches, and keeps him in order too ❤️ Both you AND Kurt have plenty more love to give ❤️❤️❤️
My friend's cat did not get used to the new kitten even after months. His personality changed and a kitten is annoying to the cat. Kurt seems like the chill type and doesn't want to be annoyed by a new kitten but yes he shouldn't adopt an adult cat
I never got a second cat because I felt the same way, but cats naturally hangout with other cats (if they like them), but they’re not solo creatures. You can always foster and see how the dynamic goes.
If you get another cat, Abram, it should be a kitten. Kurt will have an easier time bonding with the kitten, and the kitten's energy will rebound on to Kurt and make him super playful.
Having a second cat is good, it helps with companionship provided your cat isn't highly territorial. I would recommend getting a kitten so Kurt doesn't see them as a direct threat to his space. All of the cats my parents had were territorial, but chill with each other because they didn't see them as competition.
From experience a new cat can change your cat a lot for the better or the worse. But in my experience it was mostly good. And Kurt does have a lot of separation anxiety when he’s not with you so I think if another cat works out it could help him with his loneliness. Kurt might be wary or even scared at first if a new cat but that doesn’t always mean they will be like that forever. It may take time. But you gotta watch them closely cause they may be uneasy. You don’t want Kurt to feel violated or unsafe cause the new cat is in his spots or something. But also to prevent a intense cat fight. But I personally think Kurt would enjoy a new cat friend to keep company. My two cats that were at first very much disliked each other now love each other and I couldn’t imagine them without each other. But it took time with my two, and they did hiss and growl. But we made sure they could have separate locations if they wanted to be alone and completely away from the other. There needs to be a safe space for both cats so they are able to hide and not worry about the other cat intruding. Like you said they are territorial. But you’ll never know unless you try! And it could go perfectly and Kurt adopts them immediately 😂
Kurt is a very good cat I love your videos. If you plan on getting another cat for him, I really agree that it should be done at the right time! Introducing Kurt to the new cat would be the most important part, there are lots of tips for that to be done the best way possible. I have experience only with my old dog and my kitten, so I can't give you the best tips I'm afraid, but in the begining their interactions can be a little complicated, but if you get another cat or a kitten, patience is the key ^^
I took my cat to the vet. He asked questions like would I get another cat bc I love the idea of 2 cats, but my cat is the same as Kurt (personality). The vet told me to get a male kitten. With my cat, but I think you should get a cat when Kurt is older and maybe he won’t rely on you so much anymore. (5 years, female, snow shoe) - my cat BTW we need to have a little fun lay date with our cats !
about the second cat, you can first separate them in different rooms, so kurt get his room (preferably his favorite spot) and the other cat gets another. after a while you can slowly introduce them together, maybe start by getting the two on opposite sides of one door, letting them get used to each other's scents. once they no longer show signs of aggression and start playing with each other through the crack of the door, you can try opening the door just a bit so they can see each other. make sure to moderate them so they dont end up fighting 👍 reminder that im in no way an expert 😅 this is just all i've read online. im sure there are many people in the comment sections who know better than i do
I recommend a sister for Kurt, not a tiny kitten, but maybe 4 to 6 months. Then he can play with her and not get her worn out. Our orange dude Oscar got a sister who was 6 months. He was four years. At first, it was " what is that thing?" But they do play, fuss and generally act like siblings. He taught her how to hunt mice! Kurt is pretty chill dude so a sweet little girl could be good for him.
I have a Angel, I got her when my dog died of cancer....my son found her under His 18 wheeler trailer...I adore her... but I only want her, we depend on each other, I don't want anything to change that....she is alot like Kurt, who has your heart....❤
I'm almost always all for getting 2 cats (it's a friend, someone to wrestle with, 24/7 entertainment, something else that moves in the house when humans are asleep, etc), BUT in rare instances when the human is a capable of working from home and being the cat's buddy all day (and the cat LOVES it's human), then it's not a bad thing to have 1 cat😊
From my experience, it is easier to get a second cat if the second cat is a kitten. Things can go pretty wrong (like territorial spraying, not using litter boxes anymore, etc.) if the wrong adult cat is introduced.
I have 10 cats all inside and as long as you introduce them the right way it can totally work! Every cat we have are rescues that we found. They all get along and with our two dogs as well. I think having another cat would be great for him when you are away etc.
I have friends who had 1 cat, when they got a second cat, the 1st cat at first didn't like it, but over time, they love each other now. It takes time to get used to.
I know this is a little late but maybe this will help other people, I had two cats and decided to get a third and wel, 1) they are six and I got a kitten so there’s kind of an issue there because he’s high energy and wants to play with them all the time but he doesn’t pick up on them telling him when they get aggravated, and so I’m trying to break him of that habit because he tries to continue to play with them and they get annoyed and run off (because they’re too nice and they won’t put him in his place); 2) I have noticed that they are very highly jealous, and even though they will groom him when he’s calm, and they get along with him for the most part, they still get super jealous; so the instant I show him any attention they are right there meowing at me, wanting me to show them attention instead. I think that if you choose to get a different cat with Kurt, having the bond that you have with him. I think it will stress that bond because he’s now going to have to share you with another cat, or different species, and while he may end up getting along with the new cat, he’s going to continue to be jealous and upset about it. my cats aren’t necessarily upset because I was very sick when I got them (I was OK enough to get them when I did) but then I got worse, and so I wasn’t able to give them the same amount of attention that you gave Kurt while they were small kittens). While they still love me, and they’re close to me, we don’t have as close of a bond as you have with Kurt. That being said, I do think it would put a damper on your relationship with Kurt if you were to get another cat, or even another animal but different species, hence stressing the bond that you have with him. As long as he has plenty of enrichment while you are gone, it shouldn’t bother him to be alone, because he clearly does not have separation anxiety. Hope that helps.
3 suggestions 1. What if u just like bring a baby orange cat (Kurt jounior) so he could take care of him 2. Take him to cat cafe and see what cat he likes 3. Take him to cat cafe to make him more used to cats I hope you make a video about maybe using these suggestions and I’ll probably see u there! 😊
I picked up my old girl (10-11) from the backyard and lived with her for a whole year before I picked up the boy cat (6 months) right before quarantine… he acts like I’m him momma best friend with the loves, the cuddles, and the playtimes but terrorizes my old girl from time to time… the first few months of introduction was hell on earth… but they have a mutual understanding now… kinda…
I have my orange boy who is six now.. always been just me and him since he was tiny. Just got a new kitten to keep him company while I'm at work, who is four months old now.. two orange boys amd they get along great -- takes time like everything else
Try fostering a kitten and see how Kurt reacts. It’s a short term commitment to socialize the kitten before it’s ready for adoption, which is a great service in itself. If things work out, Kurt will have a new sibling. If not, you can return the kitten to the shelter.
You should get Kurt a friend, and you can test if he likes having another cat around by just bringing him to other cats and see how he reacts. If he's not interested, then you should not get another cat but if he likes being around other cats, you should totally get him another one! And Kurt fighting the substitute is so funny😂
My two babies Ted and Cosmo were born on October 25th, too. 😍 But 2022. Btw. cats can be reliant on someone specifically because there is no second cat. I would try it, but you nerd to find one with a character that would fit well with Kurt’s and it has to happen slowly (just short contacts through a net or a door etc.).
i think if you want a second cat for kurt i think you should have kurt meet a different cat (kinda like a cat playdate) and see how he responds. if he really doesn't like it then he should be any only kitty but if he enjoys the presence of any other cat then that will give you your answer. obviously the best way to find out it's letting them tell you! i have two cats and used to have three previous to these two (i grew up with the first three) and my three cats loved each other so much but they were off the streets. we adopted all of our cats older than kurt so they weren't as attached to us so that might change how likely he will want to be with another cat. I think a trial run would give you some sort of indication on how he feels. seeing as kurt is very dependent on you i think again he's the only way you'll know! I hope this helps.

Heyy,
I would look at Kurt's personality how tolerant he is towards another cat.
He should get used to him slowly because cats are very attached to their territory
Good luck ☺️🐱
I think he is already good enough as Kurt's friend
Yeah I don’t think there needs to be another cat. Kurt is good how he is
In nature both big and small kitties are almost always solitary creatures, with an exception for lions.
0:55 awww we care about you, too, Abram! Sure, we mostly care about our favorite whiddle snuggle bug Kurt... But don't sell yourself short! Lol
No we don't lol😂
@@amogus12384 Yes we do, he's Kurt's human dad
We love a cat dad!
3:05 Kurt is like "bro who is this cat?!! imma fight you-" so cute 🥺
Did you get the 2 others cats be checked to make sure they are free from disease ?
@@xoxoxyx yes
Kurt started his villian arc when you chose the substitute over him. He is now mad and gonna take over the world with cuteness

I’m so glad to come upon your channel! Very witty & creative. Thanks for the joy you & Kurt bring 😻
Yes! Another cat will keep Kurt company when you’re not home! A playmate 😊
3:00 Kurt fights tthe substitute😂😂
I have to say as yo Granny, I’ve been owned by many cats. Well, not that many, but 5 and 1 was pregnant when I rescued her! I have also been owned by many dogs. Currently owned by 2 cats 1 dog. When you add another animal to your family it most definitely changes the dynamic. If it were my best case scenario I’d have 1 cat and 1 dog. And I’d make sure its a good fit for all of us! Happiest of families wished to you and Kurt! ❤
Kurt is more than enough😂
i mean i can understand being scared - You and Kurt are the perfect duo, however, if you get another cat and the chemistry is right, maybe Kurt would be a little more independent
Foster a mellow kitten or a rabbit temporarily and see how Kurt responds….🎉
Kurt is adorable, I bet he will enjoy a friend to play with 🐈🐾💙💙💙😇
dang i wanted to know if kurt was keeping an eye out for selener
I was scared to get my orange cat a buddy bc he was a jealous one. Turned out to be the best thing bc they can drive eachother crazy but theyve grown closer and i love seeing them groom eachother.
I liked how he like got scared from the price 1:24
Sure you can, I have an orange tabby that I also got early in the pandemic as a kitten - same story. Rescued a much younger kitten a year later and she was very scared and unsure of everything. My resident cat basically raised her and took care of her. They bonded together quite well, you can tell they're not siblings since they don't like to be together all the time but they'll groom each other and sometimes sleep next to each other. So I think if you don't try, you probably won't know 😅
I think you should foster some cats and see Kurt's reaction to it. That'd be a great way to put him to the test if you consider having another cat.
2:12 the way Kurt's eyes lit up and looking at you as soon as you said it😂
Kurt doesn't want a sibling. If u don't want ur relationship to change then don't do it. Please, for Kurt's sake and yours ❤
We adopted both of my cats together when they were kittens and they used to play all the time but now one of them is always jealous of the other lol
awww I love Kurt ☺️ he’s such a cute and funny cat!

Cats are very jealous creatures, but I’m pretty sure if you add a kitten (not an adult cat, Kurt will definitely hate it) he’ll grow to be fond of it.
My friend's cat did not get used to the new kitten even after months. His personality changed and a kitten is annoying to the cat. Kurt seems like the chill type and doesn't want to be annoyed by a new kitten but yes he shouldn't adopt an adult cat
If Kurt is alone a lot at home, a buddy would be good for him. But you know him the best
Bro i like you and kurt soooo much i laughed like a stupid kid with his reactions 😂
Having a second cat is good, it helps with companionship provided your cat isn't highly territorial. I would recommend getting a kitten so Kurt doesn't see them as a direct threat to his space. All of the cats my parents had were territorial, but chill with each other because they didn't see them as competition.
yess get a new cat but maybe start by door to door communications with kurt and the other cat then slowly make then meet eachother irl
When Kurt attacking his substitute I laughed so hard😂😂😂😂😂
I recommend getting a cat smaller than Kurt so he will still know that he’s dominant. It also takes about a week for cats to get used to each other.
You never know how big a cat will grow, unless you get it when it already reached its adult size ofc.
“they don’t care about me Kurt you gotta be here” 😂😂😂
Having more than one cat is tricky. Cats are generally solitary animals, so there's always a high chance of them not getting along with one another.
He would be a great big brother. Teaching all his tricks and how to annoy you the most. 😊
3:13 Kurt said I’m the one and only orange cat
I love this!! Would love to see more of it!
I like “come back here they don’t care about me “ - so true ! We adore Kurt !
(5 years, female, snow shoe) - my cat
BTW we need to have a little fun lay date with our cats !
about the second cat, you can first separate them in different rooms, so kurt get his room (preferably his favorite spot) and the other cat gets another. after a while you can slowly introduce them together, maybe start by getting the two on opposite sides of one door, letting them get used to each other's scents. once they no longer show signs of aggression and start playing with each other through the crack of the door, you can try opening the door just a bit so they can see each other. make sure to moderate them so they dont end up fighting 👍
reminder that im in no way an expert 😅 this is just all i've read online. im sure there are many people in the comment sections who know better than i do
I recommend a sister for Kurt, not a tiny kitten, but maybe 4 to 6 months.
I think you are right about being hesitant about a second cat.
Love watching when Kurt is killing fake Kurt🤣🤣
I kept adding and have 9 plus 2 who have shown up! Kurt has a wonderful relationship with you that I wouldn’t want to be ruined!
I have 10 cats all inside and as long as you introduce them the right way it can totally work! Every cat we have are rescues that we found. They all get along and with our two dogs as well. I think having another cat would be great for him when you are away etc.
Kurt is adorable😻😻😻
I have friends who had 1 cat, when they got a second cat, the 1st cat at first didn't like it, but over time, they love each other now. It takes time to get used to.
Love this video every bit of it❤ and the editing is immaculate😂
he is gorgeous. I love him. just get another cat.
😳
What? Bc Kurt is alone. That is why I said get one more cat.
3 suggestions
1. What if u just like bring a baby orange cat (Kurt jounior) so he could take care of him
2. Take him to cat cafe and see what cat he likes
3. Take him to cat cafe to make him more used to cats
I hope you make a video about maybe using these suggestions and I’ll probably see u there!
I fkin love how kurt always throws hands with fake kurt like at the drop of a dime. Lmao 😂
I have my orange boy who is six now.. always been just me and him since he was tiny. Just got a new kitten to keep him company while I'm at work, who is four months old now.. two orange boys amd they get along great -- takes time like everything else
I love how he looked back at you when the world domination question came up lol
Try fostering a kitten and see how Kurt reacts. It’s a short term commitment to socialize the kitten before it’s ready for adoption, which is a great service in itself. If things work out, Kurt will have a new sibling. If not, you can return the kitten to the shelter.
I think her would be happy with another cat, but you’ll have a perfect friendship, so kind of your decision
You should get Kurt a friend, and you can test if he likes having another cat around by just bringing him to other cats and see how he reacts. If he's not interested, then you should not get another cat but if he likes being around other cats, you should totally get him another one!
And Kurt fighting the substitute is so funny😂
My cat passed away yesterday he is 18 years old. It hurts so much. Why don’t cats live forever? I had only him
My two babies Ted and Cosmo were born on October 25th, too. 😍 But 2022.
Btw. cats can be reliant on someone specifically because there is no second cat.
He’s so cute and his reactions are funny 😂❤
Kurt deserve a companion and a friend
Maybe he should bring Kurt to a cat cafe and if they both get another cat it should be another orange cat like Kurt
