    You made a mistake. You say that Alaska is one of those states that's divided. However, the state GOP controls the governorship and both houses of the state legislature.

      Just looked it up, interestingly enough, while there are more Reps in the Alaska state senate, 8 of them have joined the 9 Dems to form a Dem-led coalition, with 3 other Reps in the minority
      Edit: so it's sort of 1 party rule, but also sort of not
