You've always been the one and only family member who could speak with him. Corruption of a guardian of negativity does not totally destroy all aspects of the host... just 98.9% is so twisted it's unrecognisable. A positive guardian on the other hand who falls to despair? They become something so far removed from themselves... it's unrecognisable. Scary, no?
