I really loved this hike. What stood out the most for me was the dialogue on how Rosenthal sent all of his writers home by 6 PM because you can't write about life if you're not living it. Very inspiring, and wonderful advice for those looking to be a writer. Thank you!
I really appreciate how Kevin is doing these hikes with folks you would never get a chance to have an actual "chat" with. So many of these people that he talks to are so down to earth, but probably never get a chance to just "go for a hike". Kevin seems so down to earth and these short films are such a great idea. Good Job Kevin, keep up the Good Work :)
i enjoy this so much find it relaxing, as a black woman living in the mid west, the simplicity of walking and talking/connecting with someone is good for everyone!
I loved Phil's book so I was excited about this episode. Did not disappoint. What a mensch. Also just FYI, because of this show I've started hiking every day in some woods near my house. So thanks for the inspiration, Kevin!
I'm also glad you ran out of well-known celebrities to hike with. It's very nice to watch a glimpse of what goes on behind the scenes, and see such an authentic and down to earth conversation. Love seeing the hikes with the folks that were behind some of the most successful television shows and movies we've all grown to love, but were not in the camera's eye.
i also dropped off the late night shows after they all changed, LOVE Conan still but i dont have cable. I wish Kevin took over for Dave then i would watch every night like i used too! This was a great interview!!! very interesting and so much clever off the cuff humor from these guys! the what if can't eat the whole ant bit. That's gold Kevin! gold!
Great hike! Interesting pal !! Looking forward to Kevin hosting Candid Camera Reboot!! Pretty sure he auditioned on the Ellen show, for that sort of work! Always relaxed, good natured and FUN!
Kevin, thank you for "bringing" me along on this particular hike! I'm only 38, yet (thanks to Nick-at-Night) I understood all these references. Perhaps that's why Everyone Loves Raymond was a family favorite of ours!? Thanks for keeping it Clean!
Love spending time with Kevin; however, one correction @3:17. Steve Allen starred in the Benny Goodman Story. James Stewart starred in the Glenn Miller Story.
9:38 Very much agree with this pitch. So many shows are copies of old shows but this one I don't see and really miss. Regular people in unusual moments. What do you say/do? Perfect. And Kevin Would be a great host for it.
I’m glad you’re back! I was going through withdrawal! This guy is child-like...very nice and kind of cute. I think he’s right, you would be perfect For Candid Camera! He’s right about talk shows. Bill Maher gets me! You’re a Vegan-I like you even better! I’ve never understood what was so funny about being called a hockey puck. Hmm. I like your humor and British dry humor. Grateful for your show. Please never stop or I’ll have to start a 12 step Kevin K. Program.
I was a casino waitress in Tahoe in the 80s and 90s. In the late 80s, one of the astronauts, Buzz Aldrin, used to come in to this little lounge in Harvey’s, sit at the bar by himself, and get super drunk.
some good laughs in here, but your story about your dietary demands for fish at 14:08 was the best. When "Ohh, uh, on the, uh clitoris." didn't quite land, I thought it was gonna be kinda square, but no. You know, Kev, you're a getting to be a great hike host.
In the mid 1960s,.....there was a gourmet food store in my home town, that sold chocolate covered ants. They were sort of costly, but I knew I had to sample them. I did and got my buddies to eat them with me. Thankfully the chocolate coating hid, how they looked and they were crispy and crunchy. They weren't lemon flavored. I was 14 at the time. However, oddly twice before I turned 14, an ant got into my mouth by accident. I think both times, it happened at summer camp. I was so grossed out, to the point of almost vomiting. One ant was almost glued to my tongue,....as I had a real dry mouth, at the time and I had to scrape it off with my fingernail. I still shudder, at the thought of it.
I ADORE PHIL! I love the show. Nice to see Kevin Neely again. Phil’s wife’s maiden name is the same as my boyfriends. Not a common name but no connection I’m sure. Phil has folksy charm. I’m a former NYer and I just LOVE Phil.
Kevin, you are a scream. you brighten my day or night, whenever I tune into your hikes. You have such a fun personality, I would love to attend a "gathering" or backyard bbq when you are there...it has to be fun. You're wife is a lucky person. But what do I know. Thanks for your cheerful demeanor that lifts spirits. Great sense of humor and great interviewer. You have found your niche. Wait....wasn't he the guy who didn't believe in God? Happy healthy hiking to you.
When I was in my teen's and twenty's I looked forward to Thursdays as the last day before the last day of the week .It was definitely my zenith of biorhythms bringing a euphoric sense of peace and optimism . But then life changed with responsibility's and wife and kids , Thursday's became just another run of the mill day with no significance to any other day of the week causing all my days to blur into one another and in turn causing all my weeks to be blurred into months of unending repetition and mind numbing sameness . Thank-you Kevin for re-storing Thursday's to their place of high water mark along this path on my hike to existential awareness . Also, you look like a tall , human bingo dabber bouncing up and down when you walk .
I really loved this hike. What stood out the most for me was the dialogue on how Rosenthal sent all of his writers home by 6 PM because you can't write about life if you're not living it. Very inspiring, and wonderful advice for those looking to be a writer. Thank you!

yes yes yes!
Lolol wtf does race have to do with it??
As a white male living in Australia, we don't understand the relevance of saying what colour our skin is before making a statement.
go for a walk!
Phil Rosenthal seems like a very nice guy.
Phil was the best episode. He is so genuine. I've seen the "Somebody Feed Phil" several times and hope there will be more episodes.
New season out today on Netflix...enjoy
Great hike...now I know another reason Everybody Loves Raymond is so funny..fruit of the month club episode is a classic 😂🤣
I loved Phil's book so I was excited about this episode. Did not disappoint. What a mensch. Also just FYI, because of this show I've started hiking every day in some woods near my house. So thanks for the inspiration, Kevin!
I love Phil's laugh and his reactions to Kevin's jokes.
Kevin, your interview with Phil Rosenthal is one of your best interviews!
Hi Kevin. This is so insightful watching and listening to. Thank you for your dedication to the channel. It's also very funny.🌛
I'm also glad you ran out of well-known celebrities to hike with. It's very nice to watch a glimpse of what goes on behind the scenes, and see such an authentic and down to earth conversation. Love this hike and chat as usual, Kevin! Funny guy!
"...more importantly, I knew what not to do." Words to live by!
This is one of my favorites
Wish I knew what he knew not to do.
Yes to the Candid Camera with and Phil! I really really want to see that! Such a great interview and hike!
i also dropped off the late night shows after they all changed, LOVE Conan still but i dont have cable.

I love Phil. I want to have lunch with him.

"Life's a garden, dig it."
The man actually hee, hee’d!!! 🤣😂 12:33
Full Moon---- 1/2 Moon , that WAS FUNNY!
Can't wait for the spin off show. Playing the clarinet with Kevin.
“Always quit” nearly made me spit out my coffee.
Love spending time with Kevin; however, one correction @3:17. Steve Allen starred in the Benny Goodman Story. James Stewart starred in the Glenn Miller Story.
Look Marjorie, that man is talking to himself....
Everybody loves Phil! (Well, at least I do!)
Steve Allen, not Jimmy Stewart, played Benny Goodman in the Benny Goodman Story.
This might be my favorite episode. I think it is.
u been bringing the funny since u were drunk #2 in Roxanne....much luv Kev!
Awww we love Phil
Best fish? Alaskan caught fresh halibut. Phil seems like a good family man.
At some point, Kevin may want to hire a cameraman who can walk backwards. Love this show.
9:38 Very much agree with this pitch. So many shows are copies of old shows but this one I don't see and really miss. Regular people in unusual moments. What do you say/do? Perfect. And Kevin Would be a great host for it.
I'm going to need more from the comedy duo walking behind them at 13:48. Something about their walking is funny at a distance.
Great interview!!!!!
So enjoying this, Kevin!
Kevin Rules! Best Interviewer ever! He deserves a network program.
Hell no , just keep this on the down low for us !
I love your videos Kevin!! What about Jon Bertnthal as a guest?

You’re a Vegan-I like you even better! I’ve never understood what was so funny about
being called a hockey puck. Hmm. I like your humor and British dry humor.
Grateful for your show. Please never stop or I’ll have to start a 12 step Kevin K. Program.
Jimmy Fallon playing Trump playing Elvis! The best! I nearly fell out of my chair :) thanks guys. Nice conversation :)
I had no idea he produced everyone loves Raymond. I only know him from Netflix and PBS
Kevin, you're genius. Rosenthal exudes "good guy". Hope to meet him some day. Another year and you'll ask me to hike with you. I'm already saying yes.
Great show, honored to be present.
.
Kevin Nealon's video titles reign supreme! (The kids say: they rule.)
Pop that collar!
Is that coming back? Thought it was stuck in 1985, where it should be, with the Rat Tail.
Not for fashion, but for protection from the sun. Glad I don't live in the California sun burn.
Getting fat.....exercise everyday.....it's never enough! Old is gold as his Kevin and this channel. Let's all take a hike! Love it!
FANTASTIC episode. What a mensch! And Phil's nice, too:)
I caught that voice over at the start haha

I was a casino waitress in Tahoe in the 80s and 90s. In the late 80s, one of the astronauts, Buzz Aldrin, used to come in to this little lounge in Harvey’s, sit at the bar by himself, and get super drunk.
Looking good Phil where's the next travel food show,Kevin in and out on the volume lol hope you asks Phil about his mum and dad?
U should do do that show!!!!!!!!redo of candid camera
Kevin , is this where Ron Howard filmed part of Grand Theft Auto ?
Benny Goodman Story was Steve Allen. James Stewart was Glen Miller Story. Both great movies.
Good catch. But now I don't know which movie he meant.
Phil’s right! I’ve dieted first 50 years!!!! I’m 75 years old! Love your show “Everybody Feed Phil”. Get season 4 out of Netflix or more!!!!
Phil is FUNNY.
Still enjoy these walks and talks, posted 6 hours ago... Half way through this I'm sharing.
some good laughs in here, but your story about your dietary demands for fish at 14:08 was the best. When "Ohh, uh, on the, uh clitoris." didn't quite land, I thought it was gonna be kinda square, but no. You know, Kev, you're a getting to be a great hike host.
bear to table fish
Totally agree about the Candid Camera. Best show for me is "Just for Gags". So true it is about the reaction.
I agree with Phil, Kevin, you would be great as a new Candid Camera host. That is a great idea. You have the perfect personality for it.
“It’s bear to table fish” 🔥

"Because you love the HoneyMOONers"
That's New England quick humor you just can't teach.
I'll be honest. Never heard of this guest, but he's fun and his childlike laugh is adorable.
He created Everybody loves Raymond
Kevin! what do you think of hiking with Denis Miller? I would love to see that!
