Tate, you should be commended for your summer actions. Your list of goals is fantastic, a very mature action. Keep up the work, you’re learning great life skills that will pay great dividends in your future career. You’re getting a taste of adulthood. Keep it up young man - you’re doing great!

Hard work builds character so keep it and you’ll be fine. I put in 32 years with electrical utility company and we worked a lot of 16 hour shifts during storms restoring power to homes and businesses that were out. Before that US Air Force working on aircraft 12 our shifts. Embrace the job you have and do your best and work your way up👍🏻✌🏻

I think the job and working out should be combined on your list. Imagine how jacked you'll be at the end of the summer.

Your hands will toughen up the more you work, they will slowly transition from boy hands to man hands. Work always gets in the way of life and will for you as well for the next 40 years or so. By the time you retire your body is almost worn out but then you get to do things on your own schedule. Such is life. Enjoy it while you are young.😊

Hey Tate, you have me hooked on your daily reports. I actually look forward to watching them every day. Hope you don't think I'm weird, but I am an older man and your videos are like the opposite of when your kid comes home and you ask him "How was your day?" And you usually get a three liner like "It was fine." Now I get a solid 5 to 10 minutes of a little more detail! Thanks!

Give yourself some credit, Tate. You're working long shifts and your body needs time to adjust. The job is it's own workout as some of your followers have mentioned. Enjoy your weekend and take a deserved break.

Tate, you are experiencing what most people experience every day. You will find you will figure out a way. You’ll also learn you may not do everything on your list. You will adjust, see your friends on days off. As an adult you have to shift and rework your schedule as needed. Welcome to the real world.

Young man. It's called 'Life'. When do nothing but work. And have little time for anything else. Enjoy the few weeks until July. It's valuable experience.

The body will adjust over the next few weeks. The work will become easier, your muscles will build up. You've already achieved the major goal of finding gainful employment. You're working hard long hours in a brand new environment. Breathe easy, take in all you've accomplished and...relax. Accept what is for the moment. It's enough. If you're exhausted then take care of the exhaustion. The job is too new...once you settle in to a routine the balance will come.

Its ok to change goals if one or more goals take more time. I hope it works-worked out with the new driver. That is great you can take Fridays off and have a 3 days weekend off. Hope all is well.

I did this same ice job one summer in college, def brings back memories. Apparently you’re not suppose to build snowmen with the all the ice shavings being piped outside lol.
Re nails … I didn’t bite mine but my ADHD “stemming” wanted me to scratch the skin of my fingers [for the dopamine]. My coping skill was to just rub the sides of my fingers without tearing. So my brain got the dopamine hit without the body damage. Of course the challenge is being aware you are biting your nails which is probably easier said than done. Also maybe a water barrier lotion. Keep the gloves off in between loads so you’re not pickling your fingers. Good luck!

10 huour shift is a long time and you are lifing and active all the time at work, so going to the gym really isn't necessary while you work at that place, you are getting plenty from your job and getting enough rest is very important. Btw my wrists was also hurting when i began a new job last year doing something kinda similar you also did, but after th efirst 3 days the pain was gone and i had adapted ig. 10 hour shifts is really long, so maybe you should focus on your others goals while you work then also going to the gym after working.

Oh in that case I am sure those people are getting charged for ice delivery whether they need the ice or not so thats on them! Got to remember that the goal list was made when you had the time on your hands and before getting the job so after getting the job which has long hours your time situation has changed and although you can still work on those goals on the weekends and when you can it is possible that not all goals will be reached! Thats not on you its just a matter of an unfortunate change in the time that you have to complete those goals! With the hours you are putting in with the job your time and summer will fly by and before you know it time to quit, go on your trip, and then back to the school grind will be here!😄👍
