Hey Arthur, I recently purchased the Viltrox 20mm f2.8 for travel and general day to day photography. I’ve found the image and build quality to be excellent value for the money. Its compact size, light weight and focal length are an ideal and well balanced combination on my a6400.
Their 13 mm is truly amazing. But when my other Viltrox failed after only two months, the company ignored my pleas to recognize the warranty. Buyer beware.
Personally I think if someone is looking for a budget wide, spending an additional $50 for the Tamron 20mm f/2.8 is a better buy. Used you can find them for $150. You get weather sealed construction, similar optical performance, a 67mm filter thread that matches most of Tamron’s lineup, and decent build quality. But honestly having the weather sealing alone is worth it. It’s cool to see these budget AF lenses coming out though!!
Thanks for the review! What’s the performance of the Viltrox 20mm like on APS-C cameras? A comparison with the TAMRON 20mm f/2.8 would have been interesting as well.
I’m very in doubt because the F1.8 costs 350€ and the F2.8 costs 100€ here in China… I was looking for a selfie lens, but the quality of the F2.8 seems so bad
agree and bought it first in Greece. For 2924 we re going to see third party companies like this and laowa ,samyang, meike etc to overcome tamron, sigma in every direction.last year we bought 13mm f1.4 and it is worked at all scenarios scored about 90% (ohoto, video, all seasons)and is by far the best lens for aps c sony.
I was looking for a used one, but there aren't many of them so far. I found an extension for my 28 f2.0 converter that makes it 21 f2.8. I'm shocked how well it works :) I got it in perfect condition for $80
have spotted a sigma 19mm f 2.8 can be purchased for a very similar price. however viltrox is also an interesting choice, for the price. Thank's for the video and inspiration!
Hi Arthur, I love your videos because you can make a choice ... Now I'm confused, I don't know what to choose from these 2 lenses Viltrox 75mm 1.2 Pro vs Samyang SYIO85AF-E 85mm F1.4 we are very curious which is sharper .. We are looking forward to such a comparison! Thank you .🙂

their "warranty" is just a gimmick. They probably don't accept most buyer warranty claim

Not here in Australia! The viltroz is $200 and the Tamron is $400
loud as fuck motors when focusing tho. it's a deal breaker for me
Have you tried the Tamron 20mm 2.8? Would love a comparison between the two.

I picked up a used one a few days ago. It is sharp and compact. For less than $120, what's not lo love! I love what Viltrox is doing for the E-mount.
Thanks. It's already in my Amazon wish list. I have the Viltrox 85mm f1.8.

Which ND Filter will be perfect with this?
How does it perform on APSC? From you I was expecting this to be adressed. 🤷♀️
Merry christmas Arthur and Family!!!!!
I would have liked to see how it behaves on APSC. I’m thinking about getting one of this for apsc just because it’s a cheap and decent option
I'm interested too on APSC. It's a 30mm equivalent, very interesting for street photography.
Just get a true lens for apsc its going to be cheaper, faster smaller and lighter
Yeah, Sony's own 20mm 2.8 designed for APS-C is absolutely tiny and can be found for about the same price used.
@@marximus4 But it's not a great lens in terms of sharpness.
@@BICIeCOMPUTERconGabriele I imagine it'd be similar to this Viltrox.
what is the actual mm when it use to sony a6400 please

Can you do an episode to discuss the lens on an APS C camera like the A6100/A6400? Thank you!
What about getting Sony's own APS-C 20mm 2.8? It's a lot smaller than this one and can be found for about the same price used.
@@marximus4I'm interested in this one as it's full frame and I can use it on both my A9 and A6400.
How does it perform on aps-c?
4:35 what's wrong with you?😂😂😂😂
Best flare test on RUclips
@@chongtentcreator actually yes.
TTArtisan and Viltrox AF primes that under $200 are selling extremely well this holidays
This is a good lens for the price comparison, gr8 wide angle photos, love using it everyday 😍😍
Do you think this will be good for streaming Content?
It is good on sony A6400?
How does it compare against Samyang 18mm?
Viltrox and APSC Sony is a bad idea?
Can you comment on how this works on Sony a6000 with PDAF
getting this for my Nikon Z cameras when it comes to Z a few months
Expecting your review on the new Viltrox 27mm f1.2
Hope you get the Viltrox 27 for Sony E soon! Really want to see some reviews for it so I can order with confidence when it finally releases
Many thanks, dear!
Squeezed one in for Christmas Eve? Awwwthur! Wish you and yours all the best, as well the rest of community here
I'd get this if i didn't get the sigma 30mm contemporary bit im pretty satisfied. I can't remember the last time i took it off
This lens is a great budget option to throw in the back with little investment (or risk)!
thanks for great sharing 😍😍👏👏
I like your new studio interior, good job!

That’s is an apc-s lens I believe. This one is full frame.

I dont believe ive tested the samyang, but the viltrox is designed for APSC and is exceptionally sharp. Better than even the Sigma 56mm in many ways.
How would it handle on an a6500
Cool, price is amazing. Even though I got my sony 20 1.8 used for $450 still the price of this lens is better.
逆光は弱いレンズですね。オレンジ色のハレーションはviltroxの定番なのかな。しかしとてもリーズナブルな20mmですね⁉︎ cafe vlog専用レンズとして検討します。情報ありがとう👍
it is full frame?
yes

😮 wow I’m first viewer
Keep pressing 8
Wish it was a pancake lens.
