Excellent, I remember when I was in my teens being given a book on macrame, I loved it. Its been years now and I still macrame a bit especially when needed for projects. But this one was particularly inspirational for doing macrame for its own sake. Thank you for reminding me how beautiful this craft is. X
Hello @NellMckay! We're thrilled to hear about your fond memories of macramé and that our tutorial has inspired you to revisit this beautiful craft. Happy crafting and thanks for sharing your experience! 🌈✨
Thank you! I'm glad you like the idea of making the runner for your table. For a table that's 1.5 meters long, I would suggest cutting each cord to be about 5.5 to 6 meters long. If you're experienced with macramé and consistently tie tight, even knots, 5.5 meters should suffice. However, if you're new to macramé or want to ensure you have enough length to work with and account for any uneven knots, I'd recommend cutting them at 6 meters. This way, you'll avoid running short on cord. Good luck with your project, and let me know if you need any further assistance!
I'm delighted that you loved my work! Feel free to use the inspiration - it's wonderful to know it resonated with you. If you ever have questions or need further inspiration, don't hesitate to reach out. Thank you for your kind words! 😊🌟
thank you for a very good tutorial! i wanted to make a smaller one so i made size 29x51 cm. for that i used 56 pcs of 170 cm strings. i had 29 full square knot rows and on each end just 1 part with those arrows, another 3 rows of square knots, wrapped knots and 4 cm of fringe. if you want a wider table runner then the step is 8 strings which will give you 4,5 cm.
Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm glad you enjoyed the work. If you have any specific feedback or suggestions, feel free to share. Your support means a lot!

Hi, That was very nice work. I have atable of 72inches. Im planning to make a runner of 90 inches approximately. What length should I take, pls help. Also please let me know how to calculate the rope length . Thank you!!
Thank you for reaching out! The final length details are available in the guide. If you haven't seen it yet, please enable subtitles for the video by clicking on the CC icon or the gear settings in the corner of the screen. Feel free to let me know if you have any more questions or if there's anything else I can assist you with!
If only a few of your cords are short, not all of them, you can splice the short cords to make them longer and continue knotting. There are many tutorial videos on RUclips teaching how to splice cords when they are too short; you can check them out. If most of your cords are short, you can turn them into the first layer of the macramé border. Then, add another longer layer to achieve the desired length. You can also search for tutorials on adding macramé border layers on RUclips. Hopefully, this can be helpful to you.

Bei mir ist der Läufer 10 cm zu kurz geworden. Das ist ärgerlich weil sie so nicht genutzt werden kann. Gibt es eine Möglichkeit sie zu verlängern?
