DQ, however, was based on the same beat (purchased legitimately) as Duffy's "Mercy", and that track hit big worldwide. The one that u really like her voice in Lil' Touch is Sunny. She has such a beautiful voice and she sang the song Goodbye with Jungwoo & Renjun (NCT - the group that u really like) in SM winter album.

Oh! GG is another Sub-unit for SNSD..one of the reasons is bc 3 of the members left SM but they still in SNSD..and since those members who left are focusing in their own staff ( Acting ) and they have no time to sing, SM made this group. SNSD debuted, they make the history from that day. 1st girl group got 9 members, 1st and only girl group win Golden disk daesang (physical disk best seller of the year). 1st girl group still not disband after 7 years (14 years now). They try a lot of kind of music, squad, dance move,....mother of change genres in SM. Yoona is the 1st center of Kpop girl group, she is a standard for center now. For "Lil' Touch", the song was by Girls' Generation's 5-member sub-unit Oh!GG, meaning that the other members of the group are not involved in the song. Girls' Generation (aka SNSD) are now 8 members in total, still together as a group, although the group itself has been in hiatus after their 10th anniversary in 2017, with the members focusing on individual activities instead. GG is the high standard that ALL 3rd and current generation of female Kpop groups are looking toward to. They can pull off so many concepts and genres while most Kpop idol group can only pull off 1 or 2 styles. "I got a boy" is a masterpiece with 3-4 genres in one song. Oh GG! is a subunit of GG consists of those that remained with SM. We are still waiting for a full group reunion for their 15th anniversary this year.

Girls Generation (also called So Nyeo Shi Dae, Soshi or SNSD) are the biggest girlgroup in history of kpop, if we’re talking about impact. Think of them as the korean spice girls to make it easier to understand their importance. Before their debut, in 2007 few girl groups were active because boygroups dominated the scene and women couldn’t top the charts and if they did, it was rare anyways. After their debut, hundreds of girl groups broke the stigma of being woman in music and SNSD was the reason why! They paved the way to new groups over a decade ago. They aren’t active now, but the members are still best friends and super close (except for Jessica, who left in 2014)

Fun fact: The MV for Girls' Generation's "I Got A Boy" was produced by Zanybros the same company that is now representing the new Kpop soloist AleXa. In 2013 this video topped the charts and it beat American MVs by Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus, etc. for video of the year at the RUclips video awards. SNSD are "the nation's girl group" and considered queens for a reason. :D They are the girl group, that all other girl groups who came after them are modeled after. Jessica, who is one of the two Korean-American members; Taeyeon who is the leader of SNSD and one of the top female vocalists in Kpop (also one of the most popular female solo artists); and Seohyun were the singers during the ballad breakdown section. SM is known for their power vocalists, so you will find amazing vocalists like this in all of SM's groups, including boy groups. This was the era when Kpop songs were created to give an equal amount of lines to every member. So, because SNSD has 9 members, this song is longer than a lot of Kpop songs, which gives them time to do a lot of different things in the song. ;P Switching up the beat in Kpop songs is just kind of part of what makes Kpop unique. Case in point, in "I Got a Boy" Jessica literally says, "Lets bring it back to 1-40" which is a reference to switching up the tempo -- changing it from that slower ballad section and bringing the song back to the faster beat. "I Got a Boy" is structured the same way as YG Entertainment's boy group BigBang's song, "Bang Bang Bang," but "Bang Bang Bang" came out in 2015, 2 years later. Taeyeon is the Leader. I believe they chose her because she's the greatest vocalist among them and she's also the eldest member. Those are the main reason probably because even though Jessica is the first to be discovered by the agency among the nine girls and also a great Vocalist, Taeyeon still got the position (even though Taeyeon sometimes doesn't want to be)

In lil touch that was sunny. Sunny was the short blonde hair in the boys. Oh gg was 5 member because 3 of the member left the company. But they never officially disband as a whole group. And they have been mentioning of coming back together to make another song but they have been saying that every year. But it understandable because they are all busy with their solo activities. But it highly a chance for an snsd in 2022-23. I believe it so and so many of them have mentioned of wanting it to happen. (Tiffany said she will try to bring them together in aug for their anniversary)

SM wanted to debut a large girl group like Super Junior. So they choose ELEVEN trainees. The line-up went through its first major revision. Out of 11 girls, only 6 of them stay in the group. After that they added 5 more members but due to various reasons, SM decided to replaced some members with other new trainees. That line-up is probably the most well-known line-up for the so-called female counterpart of Super Junior. At this point, netizens started calling this project group as Super Girls. In fact, SM initially planned to debut this 11-member girl group. They even already took group picture of them. Despite the plan to debut this project group, SM decided to add more people to the line-up. In the other hand, some members ended-up being cut from the group. They added and removed so many people. The last line-up was 12 girls. They have many pre-debut photoshoots but some of them left because of harsh training (In a show Taeyeon mentioned that she ran away because she was tired of the hard training and dieting before debut). I think the reason you've seen Gee before because a lot of new girl groups even some boy groups are performing Gee. Gee is a superior song by them even though Taeyeon hates it😂
They're still together, Girls Generation is not disbanding. But to make ot clear , GG rn consist of 8 members, 1 member(Jessica Jung) was out at 2014 which is still become a debate between fans about why she left/ or SM kicked her out.

GG is the high standard that ALL 3rd and current generation of female Kpop groups are looking toward to. They can pull off so many concepts and genres while most Kpop idol group can only pull off 1 or 2 styles.
"I got a boy" is a masterpiece with 3-4 genres in one song.
Oh GG! is a subunit of GG consists of those that remained with SM. We are still waiting for a full group reunion for their 15th anniversary this year.

Girls Generation (also called So Nyeo Shi Dae, Soshi or SNSD) are the biggest girlgroup in history of kpop, if we’re talking about impact. Think of them as the korean spice girls to make it easier to understand their importance. Before their debut, in 2007 few girl groups were active because boygroups dominated the scene and women couldn’t top the charts and if they did, it was rare anyways. After their debut, hundreds of girl groups broke the stigma of being woman in music and SNSD was the reason why! They paved the way to new groups over a decade ago. They aren’t active now, but the members are still best friends and super close (except for Jessica, who left in 2014)
Based on your reaction to these first four GG songs, I can confidently recommend the next four to you. I think you will really enjoy "Mr. Mr." (2014), "You Think" (2015), "Lion Heart" (2015), & "Twinkle" (2012) which features the GG subunit TTS (Taeyeon, Tiffany & Seohyun). Fun fact: The MV for Girls' Generation's "I Got A Boy" was produced by Zanybros the same company that is now representing the new Kpop soloist AleXa. In 2013 this video topped the charts and it beat American MVs by Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus, etc. for video of the year at the RUclips video awards. SNSD are "the nation's girl group" and considered queens for a reason. :D They are the girl group, that all other girl groups who came after them are modeled after.
Jessica, who is one of the two Korean-American members; Taeyeon who is the leader of SNSD and one of the top female vocalists in Kpop (also one of the most popular female solo artists); and Seohyun were the singers during the ballad breakdown section. SM is known for their power vocalists, so you will find amazing vocalists like this in all of SM's groups, including boy groups.
This was the era when Kpop songs were created to give an equal amount of lines to every member. So, because SNSD has 9 members, this song is longer than a lot of Kpop songs, which gives them time to do a lot of different things in the song. ;P
Switching up the beat in Kpop songs is just kind of part of what makes Kpop unique. Case in point, in "I Got a Boy" Jessica literally says, "Lets bring it back to 1-40" which is a reference to switching up the tempo -- changing it from that slower ballad section and bringing the song back to the faster beat.
"I Got a Boy" is structured the same way as YG Entertainment's boy group BigBang's song, "Bang Bang Bang," but "Bang Bang Bang" came out in 2015, 2 years later.
Girls' Generation debuted in 2007 so 2021 was their 14th anniversary. As you have discovered, they are known as one of the most visually stunning girl groups with some of the best vocals and dancers in the industry. As an SM Entertainment group it shouldn't be a surprise that they are such great singers and dancers. That is just what you should expect from SM groups. :D SM Entertainment is considered the vocal powerhouse of the industry and the company is known for putting a huge emphasis on finding and cultivating some of the best vocalists in Kpop. You literally can't be an SM artist without having amazing singing and dancing skills. Even SM's rappers get intense training as vocalists, so all of the company's artists are amazing singers.
SM Entertainment is the company that started the Kpop industry and they are the largest and most powerful entertainment company in Korea and around the world. SM's founder, Lee SooMan, started what we know as Kpop today way back in 1996, with the very first Kpop boy group H.O.T. (High-Five of Teenager). So the company knows what it is doing when it comes to creating mega hits and groups and songs that can withstand the test of time.

Taeyeon is the Leader. I believe they chose her because she's the greatest vocalist among them and she's also the eldest member.
Those are the main reason probably because even though Jessica is the first to be discovered by the agency among the nine girls and also a great Vocalist, Taeyeon still got the position (even though Taeyeon sometimes doesn't want to be)

They chose her because as was SM policy the eldest is automatically the leader.

In lil touch that was sunny. Sunny was the short blonde hair in the boys. Oh gg was 5 member because 3 of the member left the company. But they never officially disband as a whole group. And they have been mentioning of coming back together to make another song but they have been saying that every year. But it understandable because they are all busy with their solo activities. But it highly a chance for an snsd in 2022-23. I believe it so and so many of them have mentioned of wanting it to happen. (Tiffany said she will try to bring them together in aug for their anniversary)
It was announced Taeyeon will be the host for the second season of Queendom. It’s a survival-type show where female groups compete for a coveted comeback date, and MAMAMOO won the first season. But let’s get real, folks. They want Tae Tae to host it because if she was a contestant, she’d win the whole ass thing, whether as a soloist or with Oh!GG.

As you saw, SNSD's last comeback was as a sub-unit called Oh!GG which debuted in 2018 with the 5 members who are still with SM -- Taeyeon, Yoona, Yuri, Sunny and Hyoyeon. "Lil' Touch" was this unit's debut song. SNSD is still an active group, however, Jessica Jung left the group in 2014. So they are now an 8 member group. Then, in 2017, 3 of the members left SM Entertainment -- Tiffany, Sooyoung, and Seohyun. But all 3 have said they have not left SNSD and would like to still collaborate with the group in the future. (Hence, why they created the sub-unit, because they aren't working as the full group at the moment.) All 3 are now working on their solo career. Since "Lil' Touch" the other 5 members of the group have also been focusing on their solo careers for the past 3 years. S💓nes are anxiously waiting for their comeback, which has been rumored might be this year for their 15th anniversary. (We saw Oh!GG briefly back together again in 2021 as part of SM's end of the year SMTown SMCU Express album.)
