i wish hohnadell would just not put bumpers on his car , it looks hella good but literally like every run he loses a bumper

I think Foust should have won, he was touching them doors

+Urf The Manatee The first run was very close, so whoever would make the bigger mistake in the second run would lose and Foust started off very sloppy, very shallow angles.

Urf The Manatee Foust was driving a Passat (4 door sedan) way more harder to drift, he should have won!

Is this judged purely by eye or is there data given back to the judge's?

+kkurzeid They can look back at replays

@Ltsdrft116 But they can't judge average speed, average proximity and average angle. Like okay the entry might be inconsistent and weak but they're minor things as long as they don't affect the whole sliding/drifting process

Speed isn't really a factor unless a crash or contact is made. The runs are purely based off of who the judges think did better on both runs. There have been some controversial calls over the last few years and even Saturday.. Dai and Hohnadell.. Dai straightened at the end of his chase run.

Just reading your comment just frustrates me so much. So basically there's still controversial decisions made year upon year, so then why can't they use sensors on the clipping zones as well as proximity and angle sensors to detect "zero angle" as well as how close they are to each other and maybe one for speed. It makes so much sense and tbh with all the sponsorship why can't it happen, because looking at Mad Mike's run and his Drift Shifters event he should be at least Top 8 minimum.
As for Drift Shifters it's done perfectly well.

+kkurzeid yea.. Formula Drift spends their money elsewhere.. and that too will have its flaws.. what if they malfunction?!
