Hanging out under your car with a jack holding it up is one of the stupidest things you could do, let alone record yourself doing and then posting it up for other people to see and repeat. Get some axle stands and use them.... trust me I had a very near miss once trying to rush a job and not bothering with axle stands. Otherwise a very good walkthrough.

Great video.exact same thing happened to mine.driving along happily, went over a speed bump then heard a knocking noise from the rear wheel arch. Strut mount snapped both sides where the bolts are . Your video guided me through doing the job myself and saving a few quid at the garage. Cheers ! 👍

All corrosion is a pain in the (you know where).
But bi-metallic corrosion make it even worse. 😞

We were extremely close to buying a v50 as a daily work horse which would allow us to modify the hell out of our nismo, sadly the guy was asking 900 quid for it sake peice he paid a few years ago, before he put 20k miles on it 🤣

900 quid is a fair price

Just had the exact same happen to my v50 1.6 drivE today - same noise, same sheared off powdery aluminium oxide mount. Ford ruined an otherwise great car with their cost cutting
