Had one. Features are nice so others can see where you are not matter what. Im usually a solo rider. So access to satelite communication is key. Upgraded to the Garmin 66i. Works great and now I can send text messages to anyone from anywhere. I might be. Love it.
Question about the subscription, if I have the safety plan what is sending text messages like? I know that on their website it says you’re limited to 10 text messages of 160 characters, but what does that entail? Can I compose a text just like my iPhone or is it a completely different process? Thanks for your help!
@marki-p5065 There are other PLB devices that are for rescue only and don't have a subscription fee. But if you want to be able to send messages on devices like these or your mobile phone, you'll have a monthly fee. I'm guessing you don't have a mobile phone, though.

Don't forget, you can 'suspend' your monthly subscription (for a smaller monthly fee), for those times when you're not on the road/trail.
