Thank you. These EEP squads are pretty problematic. Your fix somehow fixed the issue. Update : it would appear that my FIFA 22 has been ruined beyond repair.
It does work for FIFA 23 but there are a lot of broken names in that squad file now. Any idea how to fix that?

yes you must export the new squad file data and import it to your original squad file by RDBM software
