- Is Trollstigen one of the most spectacular mountain roads in Norway? I think so! Come with me as I drive up the troll's ladder serpentine mountain road with a Volkswagen T3 Camper Van.
Also check out the article I wrote on my website: www.norwaywith...
Tusen takk for watching!

Sharing RUclips videos about Norway and Scandinavia. Episodes about history, food, travel, language, sailing and more.
WOW! Just wow! I could watch a whole hour of that!
Thanks for watching :D
Glad to take the ride with you and happy you were doing the driving- beautiful views!
Glad you enjoyed it John!
I enjoyed the video so much 💗👍14
Happy to see u here friend wish u good luck 🥰
Thank you so much 😁
Lovely views! Can't wait to take the same route in a few months when the snow has fallen!
Great! Just don't wait too long into the winter as it does close at a certain point and reopens in May
The view in Norway is so beautiful, like your sharing sir
Thank you very much!
This is hands down the best way I have ever seen Trollstigen trough a drivers perspective, and the last (ending) shot.... just icing on the kake. Short, so detailed and just a pleasure to watch. Really inspiring. Thank you.... I have to get back to the drawing board 🔥
Thank you! Must also be a great place to drive up with a motorcycle I would think
Is the road one way? Looks a bit narrow for 2-way traffic. I hope to come to Norway Summer 2022 and drive it!
It's a two way road, and some places it's made wider so that two cars/buses can pass more easily. I really hoped I would not meet a bus though, and luckily I did not :)
What do you think is the best way to drive Trollstigen in terms of experience/views - driving up the incline or decline?
Hi Adrian, I enjoy driving it up, and then be rewarded with nice views from the top… but tbh any direction is nice!
Increíble! Me has inspirado para hacer este tipo de viajes, cabrón! ;)
Es una aventura grande! Que lo hagas tarde o temprano:)
Simplicity speaks itself
Very nice 😳
Could be tricky in winter 🇬🇧
Closed in the winter season. Normally opens sometime during May
@@norwaywithpal I can’t say I’m surprised 👍🏻🇬🇧
Hei Pål 🤩👏👏 hey really nice video!! It is nice that it doesn’t look to crowded. Judging from the waterfalls and snow on the high mountain peaks it must be spring.
Hey! It was actually late summer , a great time to travel in Norway :)
I've enjoyed another one of your videos! Thanks for sharing these. It looks like this is in More og Romsdal which my then 15 month old grandfather left in 1883. I would like to visit the area where my ancestors came from, several farms that look to be in very isolated near Repafallet. Is this feasible? Does one need a guide to get to such a remote area? Sorry to be so off topic, but each video I've watched has made me more anxious to know if this can be done.
Hei Kaaren, yes you are right, this is in Møre og Romsdal. Such a beautiful part of Norway. Reppfallet is quite accessible, but there is no public transport taking you there. You could ride public transport to the town of Gjora, and find some private transport from there. But to be honest the easiest would be to rent a car and drive there yourselves, or try find a private guide. Looks like this company might be able to help you out: www.visitwaterfalls.no/

WOW!!! That's beautiful!!! Where is Trollstigen? What is at the top?
Trollstigen is very close to Åndalsnes, so in the mid-west of Norway. On the top is a fancy visitors center and a couple of view points hanging over the mountain side. A spectacular view on a clear day
Norwegian seems extremely care for landscape, and environmental.
Yes most Norwegians enjoying being out in nature :)
Wonderful. You're braver than I!
Thank you hehe
hi, its very impressive.
Thank you! Cheers!
Good to see that the Yellow MiniBus is once again running all right and definitely road worthy. Nice camera work!
thank you Mike! She's an excellent little bus, capable of going (almost) anywhere
Shoutout to the dude riding his BIKE up this road.
Some strong legs there!
That really is a very cool van Pål . That Trolstigen is so beautiful dude. Thanks for sharing
Thanks! I love that VAN, and hope to make another journey soon. Thanks for watching the episode
@@norwaywithpal Have you guys thought about buying a T3 of your own?
@@TillerTales Yea, but I don't have any funds for that... Maybe in a year or two when I get my economy back on track after COVID. Hope you are enjoying some nice sailing on your Vega these days
@@norwaywithpal On Sunday night I drive down to her to pick her up and get ready for sailing on Monday morning up to Luleå which should take 4-5 days. This is a big moment for me because it’s my first big sailing trip in her.
@@norwaywithpal I really hope that you guys are able to figure out your economic situation. This Covid really has knocked people down and it really is not easy to get back up again. Been there, done that. My T3 crew cab with canopy is for sale should you be interested. I have replaced pretty much EVERYTHING underneath so, steering, brakes, suspension, fuel…. The list is long. Let me know if you are interested.
I am disappointed, not hearing any T3 torture sounds in your video 🤣
Haha 😂
