I'm thinking of going to Vancouver/ Victoria late summer, early fall. I'm guessing the ferry has elevators/escalators to make it easy for passengers with bags, suitcases. I'd probably go some time around late August/ early September. Would I need a jacket, if I was out on the deck of the ferry ?
Late August earl September is generally really warm. If it windy it can get a little chilly but it’s generally pretty nice. And yes they have an elevator. If you have big bags there’s a bag drop in the terminal. They take them for you and then drop them off on the other side if you didn’t want to carry the bags around the boat.
I live here too. So much money. Maybe one day they can have a “locals only rate”. Or at least a locals ferry line for a small yearly fee with proof of residence
@@TravelWithTats Well, in the meantime, I _will not pay_ more than $30 to drive my vehicle aboard any BC Ferry sailing. And I have not paid to drive aboard any ferry other than Brentwood Bay-Mill Bay for many years.
May I ask if you know how does the car work in this case? Do I pay for the car fee or do I pay for both the car and personnel depending on the number of passengers? Also I would like to ask if I am driving, do I need to bring my passport or my drivers licence? Thanks!
You’ll drive up to the gate and they charge you at the gate for your car, then per person in the car. For this specific ferry you don’t need a passport or driver license. There are some that do require a driver license as ID for verification. But again, not this one
@@TravelWithTats hello Tats thank you so much, it was really a fun ride. Luckily I was able to see the sunrise which was one of the prettiest things I've ever watched.
There’s public transit from the ferry to Victoria. It picks up immediately as you exit the terminal. Or there’s a coach service offered in the ferry. You sign up and pay for when on the ferry. They are only open for the first 30minutes of the ferry ride, so booking right away is best if that’s how you want to go. And it takes you right downtown.
BC ferries are awesome ! The winers who complain should ride some other ferry systems in the world.
Thank for VDO about details pricing and information. I planning visit Vancouver by ferry from WA. 🎉
Most welcome 😊
You give a vibe. You seem like you have a story.

Danke 😎
I've lived on the island my whole life and never knew the other exit trick. They actually don't hassle you at all?
Nope! It’s the exit for bikes and people with pets. So it’s allowed And sooo much faster.
Thanks for the video
You bet!! Thanks for stopping by :)
Be prepared to pay a lot of money. I live on Vancouver Island and the fare to drive aboard a ferry to Vancouver is too expensive for me.
I live here too.

Thanks a lot! Appreciate your thorough explanation!
I'd have to jump on one of the ferries on 2nd Jan. Should I book online or pay cash at the counter? I'd be carrying 2 big bags.
If you’re driving onto the ferry book online now.
If you are just walking on then pay cash when you arrive at the terminal

I was there
No bridge or underwater tunnel yet...? too bad
Does this basement entry/exit trick also work the same for the Queen of New Westminster?
Any of the ferries that run from Swartz Bay to Tsawassen (and vice versa). I can’t speak for any other routes. :)
@@TravelWithTats Super, thank you! I'm heading there in a couple of days so I appreciate the speedy reply :)
reserve reserve reserve ... well esp for driving

Sending good vibes from Winnipeg 😎 💪

Is there a bus service from Tsawwassen ferry to Victoria

Thank you so much for that, I really appreciate the information
WE will have a big luggage with us, is it difficult to do that?
That should be no problem.
Do the bigger ferries have casinos?
They do not actually. They just recently started serving alcohol.
@@TravelWithTats Shucks! I was hoping to recoup my losses from the fare. Thanks for the reply, you have a great channel.
I go to bc ferries often.
Also some bc ferries have arcades especially from victoria to Vancouver
I love your charisma and your secret route, it was clever 😂
Hahah thank youn!!
What is the name of ferry
When I come over, I'm just gonna use choppers.
Better view that way too 😂😂
Do you just need your ID or passport as well?
Not for this particular ferry.

Canadians sadly are the biggest winers on earth.
Sadly Americans are all related to each other
