WHAT AN AMAZING MUSIC, I AM MEXICAN AND EVERY TIME I THINK IN UK, ALMOST EVERY DAY I TURN ON THE TELE AND LISTEN BBC NEWS..I DON´T CARE THE NEWS BUT THE MUSIC...IT
Brilliant. Reminds me when I lived in joburg and would watch bbc at 5am before I head into the office. Bbc has always grounded me in Hk, Toronto and now Brussels
This takes me back 10 years. When I was travelling with British Airways, shortly into the flight, they played the day's news and this music would come up to just quickly summarize everything...
The most distinctive news music I've ever heard - and still in use today nearly 20 years after it was first used on BBC News world wide and local in the UK. The big difference with this version compared to the version used regularly on domestic UK news broadcasts is that the "pips" are far more prevalent on the the UK version (they're there on this version 1:35 to 2:00) - I guess because most people in the UK associate the 1 second beeps with the countdown to the news for many many years as they formed the "Grenewich Time signal" - 6 beeps to denote the exact time on radio, derived from an atomic clock. Lowe recently stated in an interview on the BBC that the 1 second beeps were the starting point for his composition and the international rhythms and alternating minor and major chords all stemmed from this origin.
I'm in America and I honestly miss the longer theme songs of both news and drama. It just seems to be getting shorter and shorter, some have disappeared entirely.
Well, I "got the idea to do this" because I like David Lowe's music. As for the graphics, I just kept is simple by posting the cover of the CD jacket. Hope you, and others, enjoy it.
what's the exact name of this and where can I buy it... Truly I need to rework this and get it going in a set...I remember being 13 and thinking this was up there with all the electronic music I was listening to at the time, could have just been the subconscious conditioning that occurred as news24 was always playing in the background of my home.... infact this video feels rather homely... Big Smiles
@mike7743 Now, now, now. There's nothing wrong with watching FOX News. After all, it's a fine example of how human beings are the greatest source of free entertainment that this universe has to offer.
Excellent.

This music theme takes me 13 years back in time when I was in my 9th grade and I was actively following the Afghanistan and Iraq war that time

I was searching for this for a long time, thank you.

That's cool! I often wondered who produced the music for BBC world!

@nitrogen133 Thank you for the positive comment, David Lowe is a talented artist.
@livingXXVII

@TheLawlDawg
I guess they shorten stuff to squeeze in more time for commercials.
@liquidgee13 240p has quality issues. Please, Pleeeeeeeeeze reupload in at least 640x480 (480p is the win for sound)

@DarkBota1 unlike most of us here in America, I thought non-Americans (especially Brits) posses the intellectual maturity not to watch Fox News.
@livingXXVII You need better speakers
@DarkBota1 Damn them all to Hell!
@PeperoBoy Then by all means post a better qaulity version here on RUclips and quit complaining. You're the only poster who has a gripe about it.
Miss woman not marriged for ever be Crown? Melsia.
@PeperoBoy Then by all means post it yourself I ain't stoppin' ya. You're the only one who's bitching about the sound on this though.
