For years now, if anyone asks me my least favorite Beatles song, my answer, with no hesitation, is Wait. It's always sounded super-gimmicky to me, its placement after In My Life (a contender for best song ever) grinds my gears, it sounds like a reject from a lesser album, and I don't like the lyrics (especially the bridge). Side one of Rubber Soul (UK) has always been my favorite Beatle side- I love the order of the songs! So yeah, Wait's position has always bugged me. HOWEVER! I am a fan of your station and paused my day to watch one of my favorite youtubers dissect one of my least favorite Beatle tunes. Sometimes I'll find myself debating with someone who thinks that analyzing music kills its spirit- this video proves the opposite can be true for me. You are a terrific breaker-downer of the taste, style, method, individuality and accessibility of these two guitarists we love so much that it can be easy to take them for granted or not notice that really cool little choice one of them made. Maybe my favorite thing about this band is their ability to stand up to scrutiny- the closer I listen, the more I am rewarded (and I've been listening pretty close for YEARS). Wait has been the Beatle song I "love to hate". Today, I'm confident that later on, when I listen to it, in full side 2 context, I will, for the first time maybe ever, appreciate and even enjoy listening to it in a whole new way. Nice work Mike! Have to agree with you on a couple of your points. On the album that I bought continues ago, side two ended Wait and Run for Your Life. These two songs will eternally go together in mind.
Hey Mike your sound alike on this one was one of your best. I am a huge Rubber Soul and Revolver fan. I thought that was their most outstanding period . Help was the start of this era for them. Its so fantastic you share all of these back stories along with explaining how to play each Guitar part . You certainly have made your mark on the music world .

It's amazing to me. When the fabs came I was lucky enough to witness it on Ed Sullivan, (in those days performers performed live on TV). By that time no young people really listened to our parent's music. Here we are over 60 years later and young guys like you are still into them! Keep on rockin' kid!
