I just ordered an ETM-001 from Amazon and will receive it on February 9th, 2021....can’t wait to use it on my GoPro! I’m even going to try it on my iPhone while recording! Thanks for such a great explanation of this microphone! Stay safe!
I bought a ETM-001 a couple months ago and really, really like it. By the way, your link to it on Amazon comes up with the ETM-008, not the ETM-001. But keep up the great work with the mics.
I have a DJI Osmo Pocket and was impressed with the lav mike setup you illustrated. Whilst I know I need the DJI mike jack, what is the cable I need from the ETM-001 to the DJI Osmo?
You just need an Osmo Pocket 3.5mm Adapter. You can directly plug the ETM-001 to the adapter and you are good to go. If you want to use the mic as a lavalier microphone, you will need a TRS cable like our EL-013, EL-030, or EL-050.
Hi, I bought ETM-001 in Korea and now I am struggling with some sharp sibilance with it and I can hear the same thing in this video. I really like it but sometimes it's annoying so I need to do some de-esser. When switched to rode videomicro, still I can hear the sibilance somewhat lower though, can you tell me what is going on to me?
Well, the ETM-001 is a TRS microphone and won't work with the iPhone. You still need a TRRS microphone even after Apple removed the 3.5mm input and replaced it with the lightening adapter.
@@telev2 I thought your comment was on another video which is about the EIM-001 and iPhone. I am so sorry about that. Getting back to your original question, The answer won't be easy and complete until we hear your sample clips. So the best thing you can do is contact Edutige Korea and get help from them. From my own experience, I may suggest you to put the mic a little away from your mouth. The ETM-001 is a high-sensitivity microphone and more sensitive to those "p", "s", "t" sounds. I also strongly recommend you use the furry windscreen even in indoor. It will significantly cut down those sounds.
@@EdutigeNet Thanks for your answer. I am glad to hear some technical advice from the manufacturer of the microphone that I use. I've tried several different mics but ETM-001 is still the best one so I decided to post process like de-esser and it works great! Thank you again, Edutige.
Hi Carl, i have a question. I know that they are different and am aware of the differences in terms of trs and trrs, but i was wondering if there was a difference in sound quality between the etm 001 and eim 003. I saw the video comparing the eim 001 and 003 and prefer the sound of the 003. I own the etm001 and its hard to find a video comparing the two. The microphone would be used in my room for school and zoom calls, where it's not too loud. Any advise would be appreciated thanks
I just bought a ETM-001 and use it with my a6500 & A7R2. Even if I set the recording volume to "1", the volume still be too loud......Have you tested with Sony's camera?
Hi, thanks for your question. Yes, I've tested it with my own Sony A6500 and I also need to set the volume to 1. The audio volume is still quite high but not too bad. The microphone has high sensitivity and the camera's preamps are also high.
Yes, The worst case scenario is you'd need a trs or trr adapter, but I expect you won't need this the etm001 is designed to be plugged straight into cameras
For your phone, you would need a TRS to TRRs adapter. Or you could get an EIM-001, which is the same microphone but made for phones: www.edutige.net/shop/eim-001/
You need a TRRS microphone. The ETM-001 is a TRS microphone and won't work with smartphones. You will need a TRS to TRRS adapter. Or you can try our TRRS microphones such as EIM-001, EIM-003, EIM-008, and EIM-009.
can I just buy the ETM001 for my phone while getting some sort of adapter that will work for phones instead of buying the EIM which is only for phone use?
Considering buying the 001, but what cable extention do I need to turn it into a lavalier mic? Will any male to female extention thing work?? Their cable doesn't seem to be available serperately in the UK
Hello! I was interested in buying a few ETM-001, but your website doesn't even ship to *_Canada_* ! I'm super sad, I want some of those! On amazon.ca, all sellers have a ridiculous shipping fee and the microphone is sold at 65$... Is there anyway to get one of those from you through your website, to ship in Canada, your neighbours?
Can you buy it on amazon.com? Or you can buy from eBay.com. We use the eBay Global Shipping Program(GSP) to fulfill orders from outside of the U.S. You will find GSP fees when you check out. Thanks.
I going to have to say it would not be good for recording live music, especially if you're talking about an indoor concert where the sound level could be very high and, as this microphone is so sensitive, you would likely get distortion. Of course, YMMV.
The ETM-001 is a TRS microphone and you can use it for GoPro. But you will need a GoPro mic adapter from GoPro if you have the GoPro 4 or later. If you have the EIM-001 (TRRS) mic, you will also need a TRRS to TRS adapter in addition to The GoPro mic adapter.
IV HAD MY ETM001s WHEN YOU GUYS FIRST LAUNCHED THEM AND STILL USING THEM NOW, AWSOME MICROPHONES AND GREAT QUALITY AUDIO AND BUILD PERIOD...

I wish there was somewhere to get these in the US. Every shipping estimate is weeks.
Amazon and eBay.
It's worth the wait.
Looks like a great mic! I would love to test and review one of these mics on my channel!
Is the EDUTIGE ETM-001 Omnidirectional a stereo Microphone 🤔
is the internal mic on your camera in stereo?

Does EIM-001 has same omnidirectional effect as ETM-001 ?
