TOM, always busy, always done with a professional crew, always nice that you can move on to the next with no worries, no problems, no issues,.... just a pay check and a happy customer! Good stuff, great work!
Mr Tom I really enjoyed the video, especially all the normal speed of the pour and finishing! That project came turned out terrific. And the recap was really nice. Thank you, Sir
I built a lean to on my barn three years ago. Had a dirt floor and decided this last week when I was off on vacation it was time to pour a floor. 12X24’ Some sheets of steel mesh, rebar and tied it all together with wires. Raised it all up on stones and with a couple neighbors helping a not bad job of 4000 mix was poured. I have a few different trowels and rented a power screed and Darby board and all went well. But you and the guys make it look so easy. 💐
A suggestion to help homeowners find the conduit would be to make a small, discrete symbol, like a plus sign or asterisk to stamp the wet concrete over the conduit on each side. If you do this often, make a device like a branding iron from a thin rod. It wouldn't be noticeable in the concrete unless you were looking for it.
No way you should compromise the finish to mark the conduct. Bury a 4" valve box either side, permanent access for future maintenance. You can hide it right under the finished landscape grade if you don't want to see it.
@@asons13 Making a small mark in the concrete on the edge of a walkway above the conduit wouldn't mar the finish. What I did on my sidewalks to mark the date when it was installed was to imbed a penny of that year. It doesn't detract from the appearance, but it reminds me of when I poured the concrete.
Tom when we have a situation like your top secret joints I have the guys just push a rebar hole down through the concrete at the intersection point. I have had one joint come into another at a 90 degree and stop and it stops the cracking from continuing. I like how you score it down as long as it doesn't go to the rebar so you don't get rust out of the bar. Take some time though like the old days when we used redwood 2x4's with rebar and in years the rebar rust out. Many years it takes. By the way that walk and steps look awesome but what else would we expect from you and your crew.
❤ very nice 👍!!! Someday someone hast to invent a spring assist for getting up!! By the end of the day? Sometimes the guys have to give me a starting lift.. They keep telling me me I’m too old an my smart reply back is I ain’t dead yet!! 😂😂😂 . One of the guys came to work walked up to me an said hold your arms up boss!! And he strapped on a big huge spring loaded Tigger tail and said there boss now your just like Tigger and can bounce around on your tail..🤦♂️🤦♂️ laughing the guys are clowns at times but they do “try” an stay one step ahead of me but I’m to old to change and sure not letting a young man out do me 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️😂😂 I also sometimes use your secret expecially on wedge pieces if not? They will crack where we don’t want them too😊
I love your videos, y'all do such great work. Thanks to your detailed how-to teaching I am pouring the deck around my pool myself. About 35 yds total but since I'm by myself, I'm breaking it down in sections of 3 to 5 yds at a time each day. Not my first time pouring concrete but at 60 years old that's all I can handle. I am doing a roll slate finish so my question for you ,if I may, do you put a steel trail finish for roll slate and a mag trail finish for broom or does it matter? Thanks , hope you're looking forward to retirement as much as I am.
Greetings from England. Hi Tom. fantastic work as always. I am truly amazed at the dedication, team work and professionalism that your crew has. each knows what to do without constant instruction from you. And Tom you are a great boss respected by your crew. Well done to all.

Great idea was thinking the same 👍👍🍻💪🗽
Or a C for conduct

No offense to that house but the concrete work is what makes that place look nice.
The excavator did a nice job.
Hola saludos 👋 muy buenos
Tom, What if you put a mark in the concrete where the conduit is . Something like a small letter C ,right above the conduit.
Not necessary
Could just put the conduit where you plan on putting a joint seam then say it’s at the first or second crack
can i get the name of them Knee Pads you are using?

Could you draw a diagram of the job and mark where the conduit is located?
Not necessary
Very nice, hard work always pays off, for the customer, and for you!😊

No kneepads?
Not necessary if they don't think they need them
