I'm from Texas and have always gotten these from the rennisance festival for about 16 bucks each. I just happen to notice one in the grocery store yesterday when I was getting a ham for New Years dinner and it was priced at about 6 bucks. It didn't have any cooking instructions on it so I did this search and watched your video. After following your method I'm hooked and have added a new meal to our kitchen. Many thanks for posting this brother.
Why ? Cause he sounds like hes massaging your back and fanning your fany ? This doesnt mean hes a good cook , oh desperate one , pay attention to his cooking instead 😄😁😋
I did this recipe for father's day and my family love it. They ask me if I can cook the same legs for Thanksgiving instead of the whole turkey since nobody is coming over I'm making 4 large legs and two wings same method. I love it, I love it!! Thank you. Happy Thanksgiving
I did as you advised in your video and the turkey leg was absolutely delicious! I usually add onion, garlic and Tony’s but I really think the Worcestershire sauce takes it to another level. Thank you! 🦋
Thanks for the recipe. I took the foil off the last couple of minutes and turned the oven to broil to make the skin a little crispy. Turned out perfect. Thanks for sharing!
I NEVER comment on RUclips videos but after trying this I had to thank you and let you know you are an angel for sharing this video. My wife and I have never had turkey this soft! I used only the garlic salt and the Tony's for 4hrs (350 degrees) and it still came out great! Thanks again boss! Shout out to all the welders out there!
Great tip man! I have always avoided those pre-smoked Turkey Legs like the plague because the skin was so tough. I do like doing fresh Turkey legs because I like grilling them. This is a great option to have when you want a super-tender Turkey leg, and it knocks at least 3 hours of the time it would take you to get there with fresh Turkey legs. Looks like this video has been up for a few years, I hope you're still at it.
Wow I love how you get straight to it. No extras or anything. You give exactly what we came to see. And your voice is very calm and clear. I will definitely subscribe.
Exactly what I needed! Dad loves turkey legs from the state fair but they are SO expensive these days, so got a pack of pre-smoked turkey legs and needed a way to cook them. This video and your recommendations are perfect! Thank you!
I have a few questions: * Does smoked cooked meat already have seasonings? I am just wondering if adding the seasonings on top of already prepared meat will make it too salty?? * Can this be done in a crockpot? If so, how long and what temp?
Man, I keep coming back to this video because this recipe is so simple, yet so amazing. I got some frozen ones I have to figure out what to do with though...no pre-smoked this time. Keep on making stuff like this.
I got two in the oven now... sauteed onions, meat tenderizer, black pepper, and glazed with Kraft hickory BBQ sauce... 3 more hours left... and it's about to get surgical...
Have always done these on the grill from raw. My dad is 93 and hasnt had a Turkey leg in forever so got the smoked ones in krogers. Cooking these as I type. Thanks alot my friend.
thanks so much for doing this, I ended up with some smoked turkey wings and didn't want to dry them out. I have smoked meat but these are all ready done, so having this as reference was perfect!
I bought smoked WINGS from Kroger. Did you use the same cook time and temperature for your wings? (4hrs @300degrees) I know legs are thicker than wings and I don’t wanna dry them out! How did yours turn out?
Thank you dude for your advice.. I bought a turkey leg . The package was really veg about how to cook it... After I watched your video I went back to the store to get some BBQ sauce and Foil =)
Thank you so much. Everybody was wking with raw turkey legs. I wanted to see what to do with smoked turkey legs. U all that babe! Cook on with ur bad self! 👍🏼👋🙂
My Mom who's a vegetarian recently turned me on to smoked turkey leg which she eats only during the holidays. She's in NY I'm in Cali. I ate a smoked turkey drumstick during a visit this year and fell in love with its deliciousness. After viewing several RUclips videos I decided yours was the best bc you kept it simple. I now have this bookmarked as a favorite! Thank you.
Precisely what I needed.......I bought a fully-cooked, fully-smoked Butterball Turkey, and I wanted to heat it up, keep it moist, and shred it to serve on buns as you would pulled pork. This should work. Thanks so much!
Thanks for this video! I was wondering if this would also work on a gas grill??? I've read that 2hrs suffices on a grill but I've had a heck of a time trying to find a recipe as simple as yours for the grill. I will try the oven method next time though
Short and sweet...calm voice, my go-to-refresher every time I make smoked turkey wings! :0) I've added fresh thin-sliced yellow onion or canned oregano tomatoes or dried minced onion...always delish! Recommend granulated garlic and parsley instead of garlic salt with parsley IF you make wings, the smaller portion gets a little salty but I solved that by adding wing meat to collards, using the turkey as the salt. Each time is a pleasure!
I followed this to a tee and it burnt the hell out of the skin and made the first 1/4in. of meat dry. I have a feeling he put his in, still frozen. Definitely worth noting. Dude is responsible for ruining at least one turkey leg in this World.
I like the voice and delivery of your video - very straightforward. While I've cooked smoked turkey before, I never did it for 4 hours. But I'll so this time. As usual, I will add onions & garlic as both add flavor and moisture to the food. Everyone, enjoy the Holiday & stay safe.
OMG I think I love you. I had one in the freezer I put in the fridge to thaw. I wondered how to reheat for best results. Thank you. Bless you!! I'll do this in the morning for an incredible lunch tomorrow, yum!!!! 🎉 There is a store near me that sells these presmoked like that. I'm gonna buy a truckload and stick them in the freezer now!!!
Got to comment. Not only did my smoked turkey legs turn out the bomb, my self proclaimed pescatarian couldn't get enough of them! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! 👌🏾
Happy Memorial Day I’m cooking bbq turkey legs, cabbage, cornbread, yams, and lobster Mac n cheese and bake beans and potatoes salad. It’s going down❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
If you want to not heat up your house, save time and money and have an air fryer, simply season the meat (season salt, pepper, onion, garlic powder and dried Italian seasonings) spray with olive oil or use butter mixed with the seasonings - you can cook them in there for 20 mins on each side @ 365 or 370 degrees and voila-tender and juicy turkey! My particular brand of smoked turkey parts label instructions call for heating in regular oven @ “360 for 30 or more mins bringing to internal temp of 165”. 40 mins in air fryer vs 3-4 hours in a conventional oven which is actually way longer than the label states? Nah. Smoked turkey is already “cooked” for the most part. Make life easier, not harder.
They don't usually carry these at my local grocery store but since steak prices have gone up they started carrying these often. I've been lowkey living off these.
Is it supposed to be sizzling and crackling in the oven ? Or do I have it too high ? My oven dont have any degree numbers on it. The knob can just turn 1-5
Best ever recipe for Smoked Turkey Leg. Red pepper flakes are a must. Yellow South Carolina BBQ sauce for dipping. Side benefit from eating this is that it clears your mind of all ill thoughts and feelings. Also cures all diseases known to medical science
Wow wow lol I have been cooking my smoke turkey wrong and I must say this way was soooooo amazing . My husband said he almost bite his own finger lol that good wow
FIRST, I put my turkey leg in the oven, THEN I went and searched on how to properly cook it. I guessed (mostly) right, I did wrap my leg in foil and set the oven at 300 Fahrenheit. I didn't know about leaving it in the oven for 3 hours and I never thought to put Worcestershire sauce and other spices on the leg. Thank you for those tips. I think what I want to do with the other turkey leg I have is to cover it with roughly cracked black pepper before cooking as I do LOOOVE peppered bacon.......
@wholly33 you still seasoned it the way he did right or just let it cook already ? Gonna try putting it in the insta pot since dinner is in 2 hours x.x
@wholly33 Alright just put mine in the insta pot a few minutes before your message but I basically did the same seasoning like yours and a bit from the video. And yeah since it's my first time making it maybe next time I won't put as much salt. Thanks again for your insta pot idea.
Greatest video EVER on RUclips. Straight to the point, no intro, no extra, just straight to the point.
I'm doing some next week and stuff with some dressing. Thanks for watching and sub my channel if you haven't already

Me too bout mine for $5.50 from walmart. $20 here in florida at the fair
Same scenario but haven't cooked it yet. Going to do it tomorrow. Glad you're hooked, think that will be the case here too.
Was it $6.00 for just one leg, or 2? I bought a 2 pack yesterday for less than $5.00. We're in NC.
@@robintaylor8442 That's a steal, wholesale price for a case is 65.00 which comes to about 4.50 each
This man's voice sounds like he's a good cook I'm going to try THIS.

I made then last week per your video, and the meat fell off the bone. I putting some more in oven after I post this comment. 😁

Yea it comes salted kinda like a ham
@@NBA-LejonBrames Yeah, I learned the hard way. Ended up throwing them out. It was just waaay too salty for my palate.
You can boil them first to get some of the salt out, season (with some fresh onion, garlic, and black pepper), wrap in foil and slow bake.
This is exactly what I needed! Thanks for the easy to follow video! Got my turkey legs in the oven right now 😁

@wholly33 thanks I was wondering because I have an instapot
@wholly33 do you put it for the same temperature in the pressure cooker?
wayyyyyy to long for a presmoked leg, bout 15 or so min
@wholly33 i get it done in 15 min just putting on a bake pan with water
Have always done these on the grill from raw. My dad is 93 and hasnt had a Turkey leg in forever so got the smoked ones in krogers. Cooking these as I type. Thanks alot my friend.
Thank you so much for this beautiful idea I love turkey legs
Great video, my brother! I just picked up some smoked turkey WINGS from Kroger (Ralph’s). Would you still use the same cook time & temp for wings?
I have the same question I'm also making wings and legs so I will go for the same temperature but I'll check one hour before the legs. Good luck.
This recipe is Perfect! I tried 3 other methods before finding yours and there is no comparison.....4hrs is totally worth the wait! Thank you!

@@weldingandstuff is it the same way as turkey wings?
Yes, but cut back on the time about 30 minutes unless you have one of those 1.5 lb wings
