    For the viewers
    Some additional facts...
I have bachelors in electronics and communication with 72% and things which did NOT work for me was
    1. Applying to mechatronics courses
4/6 courses that I applied were for mechatronics. ALL REJECTED due to lack of mechanical subjects in bachelors
    2. Masters in embedded systems was rejected due to grade
    Tricks:
    1. Apply smart....to which course u have background knowledge/experience in.
    2. Don't follow the trend of only popular collages... There are many universities ( over 500...I believe)
    3. Don't lose hope if a consultancy says u r not qualified enough... Apply on ur own...
These are all that I did and 2 years later I have my masters finished ...

Thank you so much for your valuable comment. Even I tell students to always work smart and do your own research or take help from people who have done themselves. Very much appreciated!!

    For the people reading comments....
As always a very very informative video. Not much adjectives left to describe. Great going.
I have a CGPA of 7.86 (73.6% as per my University guidelines) in my Bachelor's and I have still managed to get admission offer letters from 3 out of my top 4 Courses as per my priority list. The ones from where I got a positive response are FH Aachen (Mechatronics), RWTH Aachen (Transportation and Mobility) and TU Kaiserslautern (Commercial Vehicle Technology) and the one from which I got a rejection is FH Aachen (International Automotive Engineering).
Of course, I am mentioning these things not to boast but because people get to know that it is very much possible for you to get admits from highly competitive courses as well, even though your Percentages are in 70s. So don't loose hope and work smartly. Follow the guidelines from this video. Trust me it does help. Last Winter Semester I had applied to 10+ courses, and received rejection from each one of them. Later on I worked on improving my German proficiency, adding to my Technical skills by doing a few courses, Improving my GRE score. These small things other than CVs, LORs and LOMs (which are very very important) can also make a huge difference. And as I already mentioned, these things paid off.
But, no University will mention such things in their website. Sometimes it may be written that 2.0 is the "minimum eligibility" criteria but people misunderstand it as the admission criteria and later complain that I had better grades then the mentioned ones and still got rejections. So work on every other aspect of you overall profile. As Shraddha said, CGPA can't be changed from your profile, but other valuables can surely and should be added.
Try getting in touch with seniors via LinkedIn/Facebook and ask them about their experience and the things about their courses. Like in my case, seniors told me that curriculum requires usage of MATLAB, etc. so I did a basic course in it and showed it in my profile and it obviously worked (at least thats what I feel, coz for CVT I had not shown anything extra). Now, my course website doesn't mention all these stuff about MATLAB and all. So if you are serious about a course, I highly recommend Talking to seniors for guidance.
Next, I have seen people not appearing for GRE as they feel INR 15000 isn't worth as just a few courses ask for it as a mandatory requirement and for some its just recommended, and you believe that you will get an offer letter for sure from some non GRE asking course. Confidence is good, but for people with CGPAs on higher side. We guys in 70s should not be taking so much risk, that's what I feel. When I had applied, only 1 course had mentioned GRE as compulsory and 3 had mentioned recommended. But I still appeared for it not once but thrice, because I wanted to reach a particular score, which I reached in the 3rd attempt. And obviously, it helped me in getting 3 admits. It may not have played a very big impact, but definitely a small impact. Therefore, if you find interest in a course and you are highly wishing to study it and they ask a particular exam do be given, just go for it without a second thought. Don't think about money or that only one Uni is asking so what if you score good and still get rejection. You will atleast not regret later about not even trying. Just give your best shot and let admission committee take care about your result. And if money is a concern, whenever you are planning to buy your next cellphone, buy it 6 months later after working part-time in Germany.
I can confidently say this (above mentioned things) as I have not done a job, not even for a day, and also have done internship for just 4 weeks, so, I had absolutely zero things to showcase in experience column (which plays a vital role) and hence nothing extra from last year's application. Also I had not done any changes in LORs and LOMs as I feel they were already good enough. So its but obvious that my German B1 (which was A2 and 3 modules of B1during last year's application), a couple of technical courses and GRE, played some role in getting me those admits.
Many hundreds of your fellow applicants will have exact similar CGPAs or atleast very similar with what you have, but these small things which I said will give you an edge over them. I hope this helps. I am obviously not claiming that these things are gonna work for sure, but, it helped me in my case and hence sharing my experience. As they say, BOON BOOND SE SAGAR BANTA HAI. So try adding those small BOONDS to your profile. 🙈

There are public universities who have mentioned satisfactory grade or no grade criteria at all. For such universities , either aptitude test or relevancy of candidate's bachelor degree is one of the criteria. I can understand it's difficult if the percentage is less than 65% as the German grade equivalent will be approx 3.
