    Design a coarse screen for the following conditions:
    A design flow of 1.0m3/s in the approach channel and vh = 0.8m/s.
    Coarse screen specifications: β = 1.67, W = 10 mm and α = 30°.
    Channel depth = 0.8 m.
    ¡ What is the effect on the flow velocity when the screen is
    half clogged?
    ¡ What is the headloss when the screen is 50 % clogged?
    ¡ At what headloss should the screen be cleaned so that the
    velocity does not exceed 1.2m/s?
