Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the Summit of the Future (SOTF) at the United Nations today (September 23). He focused on the key initiatives taken under him to help alleviate poverty in the country. "We have elevated 250 million people out of poverty in India and we have shown that sustainable development can be successful," PM Modi said. He emphasised on prioritising sustainable development as he said that, " We must also ensure human well-being, food, health security. We have shown in India that sustainable development can be successful by lifting 250 million people out of poverty. We are ready to share this experience of success with the Global South." Earlier, US President Joe Biden hosted Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, Prime Minister Modi, and Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese for the Quad Leaders' Summit on Saturday in Wilmington, Delaware.
