Sir can u make a video on how to respond or make a pull request to an issue that is been given to u.
i don't get why you would create a branch if you later merge it with master.. i mean all you need is a workspace and to keep saved versions so you can rollback if it doesnt work.. i guess you need branches if you add features and then you want to merge or something like that..

Git branch - for list of branches
Git branch -d "branch name"- for deleting particular branch
Git checkout -b /switch -c " Branch name"-- create branch and switched into creates branch
