Thanks Jonath, I absolutely agree on that. Its that magical combination of advanced instrumentalism, lyrics and overall songwriting. Check out their other tune called "In Loving Memory", I was tossing between that one and Myths & Photographs.

Amazing cover, one of my favs songs! I'm using it to learn the song :D
By the way, are you muting all the strings with your index finger so you don't get noise? Also, when you get the 4-0-4-0-4-0 tapping, are you muting with the same finger that you tap? I'm really trying to grasp this intro, because it's been one of my favs for like 15 years!

Great questions 🙂 I can tell you are across the nuances of playing guitar 😉
I employ 3 different types of muting the strings: Left hand, Right hand (palm and resting fingers on inactive strings) and the combination of both.
In this particular case during tapping I use the index finger. With the 4-0 tapping it gets tricky because of the open string so you’d have to lift the index finger and then quickly put it back to mute the string. In the video you can see that my index finger bounces up and down during those parts to mute/unmute the open strings.
@@RobarMusic Thanks for explaining mate! This info is gold. With the 4-0 I was thinking you were muting with the right hand palm slightly, and this is what I was doing but I'll try your recommendation :) still playing the intro at 50% speed
