Where did you hear that the Brooklyn and Jamaica RR only went to Flatbush Avenue? I have read in several publications that the B&J RR went all the way to the end of Division Avenue (later Atlantic Ave) so that passengers could take a ferry to Manhattan. It wasn't until the 1850's that the LIRR cut back to Flatbush because the residents of Brooklyn did not want Steam engines dirtying up their fair city. That is why in later years the other Railroads servicing Coney Island didn't go past the Greenwood Cemetery area (give or take).
Finally, the lirr is getting the respect it somewhat deserves.
A actual documentary series on it's history.
Ha! The author, Stan Fischler the NY Islanders maven. Great video. Keep em coming.
Awesome job young man 🙂✅

The greenport line was supposed to go to Boston it needs to happen while upgrading to HSR standard
Not sure if you covered it yet but on the L train between jefferson st and morgan av theres a tunnel you can see, do you know anything about it?

I might consider getting this book to read in my free time!
Also, anyone got good books of NY transit history to recommend?
