    Nice rules demonstration. Very articulate Gilbert, nice explanations and examples, particularly Militias. Moe, well put together learn to play as usual and highlighting of text and pop-outs really worked well. Thanks both!

    Gilbert - Wilmington was up and coming at the time of the Revolution. New Castle - just south of Wilmington was the more important town during the Revolution. It is where the leaders met and was a port. They now come together but thought you should know that New Castle would have been a better indicator there. That or New Castle / Wilmington. This may be more ideal. Nice to see Lewes is on there too for Delaware. You also put Maine in here though part of Massachusetts still. I would have left Maine in parentheses and indicate Massachusetts. This seems a lot like 1776 but updated.

    The British Transport Capacity in 1775 is 3 if they British did not move any units out of Europe on the Spring turn and on the Early Summer there would be 4 SP in Europe, correct? Would this mean that if they were to move then only 3 SP could be moved on that phase?
    In 1776 the British can move 10 SP so the British could move say 6 SP from one space via ocean and then 4 from another, this would be for the whole turn correct not each action phase?
    Moving via ocean if the leader roll is greater than the leaders value does that mean they could only move 2 spaces?

      1) There is no rule that says you can delay reinforcements from the 'Europe' box. Also, reinforcements have NOTHING to do with Transport Capacity.
      2) Correct, that Transport Capacity is 'gold' and you have to use it wisely. The British had just accomplished the largest sea transport practically in history but it drained their resource incredibly. The transport capacity was stretched to the limit to even move supplies to the colonies. That is why you do NOT sea large troop movements by sea after 1776. That is why in 1778 Clinton's army walked to New York rather than sail. They didn't have the capacity.

    Why are the charts no longer in the Vassal version? Makes no sense to have a game fully kitted out and then take away the combat charts.

    • @MoesWargames
      @MoesWargames  Год назад

      You can use the charts that came with your game while playing.

    What happens if the player wants to take the card offered and is going to
    discard the oppents event card?
    How come the America did not roll the die before the retreat? 'You said that
    they needed to roll a 1 or 2 to retreat.'
    The reinforcement lines has 'To Boston' does that me that these reinforcements
    are like the first ones going from Europe to Boston?
    Allen's movement you talked about moving by river and yet Allen moved one space
    by river and the other two by land?
    Allen's battle was +2 for an illegal card play as you noted +3 for dice -3 for
    fort so the result is a 3 which is NR (correct)?
    In the battle with Allen you rolled only one die (it should have been 2 D6 correct)?

    • @XLEGION1
      @XLEGION1 2 года назад +1

      1) There is no set 'phase' to the trading of cards. You can't get rid of a card without your opponent being offered the chance to take it.
      2) Probably an error but you didn't mention in your question where it occurred, but you DO have to roll for retreat before combat
      3) "To Boston" means exactly that. Those reinforcements must go to Boston. Orders issued from London could take 6 to 8 weeks to travel to the Colonies.
      4) You can combine movement of River and land there is no restriction on that. But, if you want the river BONUS you must move entirely by water.
      5) Not clear by what you mean here. Illegal card play?
      6) Two dice most definitely

    Question regarding the attack on Ticonderoga in the example.
    Gilbert gave the defender the minus 3 modifier for the fortress.
    Rule 19.22b states when defending alone in a fortress the garrison does not get the minus 3.
    Canst thou clarify?
    I think 19.22b is correct and the example of play in the video is incorrect.

    Shouldn't Action Pulses track be labeled Action Rounds?
