As someone who has been playing on the online servers for a couple of years, I have come to feel stuck at the same level and feel like I have not progressed. This video is very helpful to me, thank you Forsezor!

I am an "Original Gangsta" from UT. I played when the game came out and got into the competitive clan scene before aimbots came out. I've spectated and played some of the best of all time - Overtoad, Kravnos, TheOtherGuy, GitzZz, TheButcher, XS|Pain, etc..... Here's my opinion on aiming. You can improve your aim, but you cannot improve it to the level of people who are just born with God given great aiming ability. Those people are in the top 10%. If you are an average aim player, in the top 50%, you can improve up until about the top 25%. But to get above that? You have to be born with it. It's not just training your aim. You have to have calm nerves, great feel, awareness, vision, and outstanding hearing. You can buy the best mouse, the best mousepad, the best headset, keyboard, monitor, all of it. But you'll never get into the "elite" of people who can aim. It's like putting in Golf. Every professional hits tens of thousands of practices putts every year, yet every year their putting stroke remains within a delta of +/- 5%. Why? because some people are you just BORN with better feel for putting.
This is NOT to say you shouldn't practice aiming. This video is SUPER HELPFUL and tons of credit to our Russian friend for doing this. But don' tthink you're going to start headshotting people and one shotting on instagib servers because you practice aiming. You'll improve but not as much as you think.

also to add, imo people usually paying attention to the wrong things, just for example: a guy which is doing 20% accuracy average playing tons if aimlabs, instagib and all other things to practice their aiming, but when you watch their demos in slowmo you can see one simple thing clearly: they shot faster or later than its supposed to be to make a hit. I mean they have a good aiming skills already, they can aim at their enemies, but in my opinion their problem is specific person ability like REACTION and they should spend way more time on training what's already inside them - reaction time, instead of aiming their crosshair on their enemy. I see this problem on other players way often than just real problems with aiming,
you're right about this one: "You have to have calm nerves, great feel, awareness, vision, and outstanding hearing", all those things will let you have the best reaction of yours, clean and cold head, for sure
I don't know about which % of accuracy we talk exactly, but I'm pretty sure that anybody can hit ~40% accuracy, it's just about the RIGHT practice and years of time if you're talentless in this for sure, but yeah if we take 50% accuracy for example, then it's definitely not for everyone. you should be the real gamer and play games since your childhood to teach your brain work on these things and progress first of all, it's always easier to become a pro-player anywhere if you play the game since your 6 age or smth :p
we can take for example that monesy/donk666 guys from csgo/cs2, both of them was about 14-15 y.o. when people started to talk about their insane skills, they were calling it "pure talents" and all of those words, but there's a simple thing which you can't really miss - they got 15000 hours in csgo in their 14 years already, thats a heavy value for 14yo boy, like too heavy lol; my steam says that I have only 2600 hours in UT99, I play UT via Steam since 2019 or so. I'm not really sure I do have 15000 hours in UT99 at all after all these years, but they had 15k in their 14 years man thats insane
yeah this is what I wanted to say, thank you for your comment

@@forsezor Spasibo, and thank you for putting the video together. I was not born with great aim and I never played Team Deatmatch. I played CTF and that is the clan scene I competed in. but because I was an attacker, i had to learn how to get better at aiming and killing people with a 150-200 ping. Now my ping is

@@Solomanium I'm on my team discord server which is in description of video, also I play newnet servers only since yeah because of those things you tell about ping, that delay is only on oldnet servers which I'm not really accepting in 2024 when there's newnet exists (netcode where's no delay which depends on your ping). I'm not sure if I could make it to a video, only if we have some really equal game, which I didn't have for a really long time tbh. Just for fun we can do 4 sure

DM-Botz и DM-Targetz. Картинка это просто всевозможные графические улучшения, но я так сыграл лишь один раз для этого видео, для фона, так не совсем удобно. Играю обычно на дефолтной графике, ну в чем-то подкрученной, но не настолько как тут
