Looking back I think that Alison didn’t really deserve Emily. She was stringing her along with kissing her in the library & having Emily put on her bracelet for her knowing how she felt about her. Then when Emily kissed Alison’s shoulder in the locker room Alison gaslit Emily by saying “a kiss is a kiss, just because we kissed in the library doesn’t mean I’m into you like that” and “I like boys & trust me if I’m kissing you it’s practice for the real thing” 🙄
internalized homophobia is a real thing. it doesn’t excuse the treatment, but I don’t think she was intentionally stringing her along. Alison just couldn’t deal with the fact she likes girls too-and she became a better person

Alison was a bully before she disappeared and in season 5 she showed she didn’t fully change because she still called Mona a loser and it seems like she just wants people to like her so she can be popular, not because she cares about them
