AE 501: Very helpful video, I've always struggled with 3D plotting in MATLAB but seeing how to really set it up and how similar some of the functions are to each other made it really easy
AE501- Great Matlab plotting function video allowing you to build, compare, and make complex plots to ensure we can get our point across in future data analysis.
hey i got the concepts fit like it was soo easy language the way you explained was very simple and the video was easy going. thank you soo much for this tutorial. keep sharing more like this

[AE501] 3:05 It was good to review the 2d plotting and then seeing how it goes to 3d. My matlab experience is pretty minimal so this review is always helpful.

AE501. This video is very helpful. Love how you graphically explained the concept of 3D plotting 8:49, this really helped me to get a better picture of this topic.
AE501. Thanks for the vid on 3D plotting on MATLAB. Great tutorial, personally love the line on 3D surface function for great visualization. Thank Professor.
AE501 - Professor Lum, First of all, great video. Helps explains the mathematical theory behind generating 3D plots. I never understood what Matlab was doing behind the scenes as you plug in equations/functions, so this video helps demystify the topic. I think my biggest takeaway will be understanding that Matlab is actually using the mesh *product* of x and y to evaluate f(x,y). I assume this evaluation can be extended to 3D scalar functions, it just becomes more difficult to actually visualize.
Karina, exactly, you can absolutely apply this to higher dimensional function but as you mention, it is hard to visualize. Usually you'll have to hold several other variables constant and then plot how the remaining 2 vary (using the same techniques we applied here).
AE501 - Great video! Definitely learned more about the various 3D plotting functions within MATLAB, I was only aware of plot3 and surf. Also helpful to know about the meshgrid function as that's an easy way to create your 2-D array of X and Y variables.
Great tutorial going through the various matlab 3D plotting functions, same as others ... hadn't known about the view command yet. Quite helpful for when a specific view is preferred.
Hi Geraldo, great to hear from you again. I'm glad you're enjoying the videos. Please continue to let me know what you think as you work through the videos (and let me know if there are topics you are interested in for future videos). Thanks forr watching!
Very nicely explained. Thanks for helping us through your video. Have you made any video to plot a predefined (x,y,z) instead of finding the meshgrid of x and y (whose matrix size is bigger than x and y)
AE501: Such a great video to reference for 3D plotting! I've been having so much fun with colormaps. Thank you for the artistic surface plots. - Elizabeth Sampley

Dear Lum, Suppose in table a whcih consist of lost of data how is it possible to plot in 3D.
it would be really helpful if you included a link in the description for the script made in the video.
