You make me happy every time I watch you, thanks so much. This year my daughter in law & son are hosting, due to a recent surgery that’s left me walking with the aide of a walker so hopefully by next year I’ll be up & running (although at sometime the next generation should step up, like you I’m 71 ). We will see my dil is the best but she works full time & has 2 little ones, and is moving in a couple of months so her plate is full, that’s why I insisted on catering the whole meal (which makes me guilty but….). Shana Tova
wishing you and family a happy, healthy, sweet year. the special kiddy table with learning toys and books, shows a home where the children are being brought up participating in the holiday. what a joy for all...
We used a lovely Rosh Hashanah coloring book from Amazon and my son and I colored our favorite pictures inside and we're framing them for decoration for the holiday and got some lovely apple outdoor signs from dollar tree that we've hung up on the front of our home that and mixed fresh flowers the day of are the decorations this year but it's simple but heartfelt and my son helped with everything
Your table looks Beautiful ‼️ 😍 I love your joy and enthusiasm ‼️ Have a blessed holiday and all the best in the year to come. I'd use some beautiful meaningful Hebrew phrases , but I'm not Jewish. Lol
You did a beautiful job, Marian!! It’s gorgeous! And I, for one, appreciate you “keeping it real” for us! There’s already too much fakeness in the world, so you being genuine is wonderful! Happy Rosh Hashanah! 🍎 🍯
I think everything looks beautiful! Bouquets that you buy can have multiple types of flowers and colors so I think you can mix and match. It looks lovely.
Nice setting of the home for the Rosh Hashana. I dont understand Jewish feasts deeply as you do, but i like watching as you celebrate to have the festival mood and its usually amazing. Waiting for blowing of the shofar session.
I would love to visit you and learn all your traditions .It is so beautiful. When i was little we lived next door to a Jewish Family.I remember eating the matzo ball soup ay her home. She was so sweet.
This looks so beautiful. I agree; love Ina’s rule of one flower. But, this really works. All red would be a bit more dramatic and formal, but I love what you did. Lighter.
I've just started a new job, and I've overloaded myself with school work and my mother expects me to host Rosh Hashanah because since I've moved out I have searched for and found spirituality. They are russian immigrants who weren't allowed to practice their faith, so they also didn't know how to teach it to their kids. So I found out for myself! I feel blessed to bring this season to my family and to educate them year to year during High Holy Day Celebrations, however, I am stressed and feel very overwhelmed 😅
MARION LIKE ALWAYS YOUR FOOD ,FLOWERS AND TABLE SETTING IS BEAUTIFUL 😍 IM GOING TO GO TO A SERVICE IN OUR TOWN FIRST TIME EVER THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHARING WITH US🥰🦋🦋🦋🌻🌻🌻🐝
Wishing you and your family Shana Tova Umetuka, may you all be blessed with a healthy, happy, sweet new year, filled with Bracha and nachas....lots of love
Marion, I'm going to synagogue on Saturday for the first time. It's going to be a service, I've visited synagogues before but I was never present when the service was held. Any thoughts, recommendations on how should I behave, may I touch Torah, how should I give a tribute to the Ten Commandments.. ? 😊
It is so pretty. I love to decorate my home for the seasons and holidays also. I am a Christian and love finding decor items that make our holidays more meaningful. I often find that Jews and Christians have many things in common when it comes to observing our faiths-such as traditions and decorating to make the holidays more meaningful.
Your table and home looks lovely!!! I love watching your channel and learning how you and your family celebrates the holidays!!! Blessings to you and your family this new year!
Marian, that is a gorgeous table scape! 🐝 🍯 🍎 🍏 Like you, I’m just enthusiastic when the companies remember us. Mostly our holidays are overlooked. I tried to order a runner this year, but in the short time we have left, I don’t expect to receive it on time. The item appears lost. 😔 Maybe next year, HS willing, I will have a new runner. I did find one that didn’t include Hanukkah imagery on it… just didn’t get it. 😝 Glad your celebration is coming together nicely! The holiday color kippot is great. 😆 L’shanah Tovah!
Last month I thought you were rushing the season and now here it is upon us. Time flies past and holidays go with it. LOL. Your table looks beautiful and is an artwork worthy of the holiday. Happy New Year!
I watch a few vlogs of Jewish holiday prep and Shabbat prep and I am always sad that so many seem to use disposable plates . So nice to see you use proper crockery
There are advantages to both approaches, formal and casual. During the years when my family joined another family for Thanksgiving dinner, we realized that using paper plates and other disposables cut down on stress and gave us more time just to enjoy the gathering. We'd get Thanksgiving disposables on sale after the holiday, to use the following year. On the other hand, there are certain holidays or celebrations where a formal setting might be preferable. I don't think of it as one choice being more proper than the other.
Love the color scheme. Such a nice contrast with the blues and silvers for Hanukkah. Have you ever seen the sparkly banners from The KitCut? They also do Hebrew lettering. I use a generic Hebrew ‘Chag Sameach’ banner that I can use for every Jewish holiday 😆 L’shanah tovah u’metukah!
Hi Marion, thank you for your videos, you mentioned previously that your family has South African roots - could you share with us where and what Kosher products and adhereances your south african relatives have access to and practice? Would love to ''see'' how life here in SA compares for them to your's in the USA.
I am fascinated by your necklace, the longer one, at the beginning of this video. What is it? Love your house and the decorations look great. I am going to have to check our Trader Joe's and see what they have.
There really is something special about having fresh flowers. Idk what it is but it works
Your home looks beautiful! I especially like how you always have items that coordinate for the children. So awesome!
Aww thank you so much!

It’s not about which is more proper but rather the environmental impact of disposable plastic plates and cutlery that concerns me
@@camcas727Since you used the word "proper" in your comment, as in "proper crockery", that's what I took it to mean. Appropriate or correct.
