The artwork gave me the feeling of Metro Exodus. As a design engineer I like to listen to this kind of music while working, help me to relax and focus at the same time.
Im liking these The Thing/Alien Vibes alot. The subtle use of single chords or short "harmonies" is what got my attention back when i first found the "UFO | Airbase Abduction Ambient" video which was graciously reuploaded.
I recently watched Blade Runner and this kind of reminds me of the ambience there. I love it! I always wished that someone would upload ambience like this.
Great work as always. The thing is one of my favourite films to the point I went out of my way to make a short film on it. Love the dedication you have to making these ambiance’s, I can really tell you put lots of work into them.
Out of every franchise I know, I can't think of a single one that aged as well as The Thing. The video game from 2002 is regarded as a cult classic, and even inspired other franchises like Dead Space. The comics explore all sorts of different stories with this alien lifeform. From sci-fi action horror to detective noire. The movies go all the way back to 1951, and even the prequel from 2011 blew up at the box office. The books date prior to World War II and even to this day are still being republished. I mean Hell, we even got a horror maze at Universal Studios with animatronics and full makeup designed costumes. Or if none of this is your cup of tea, then there's always the board game. There's also the amazing fans that created audiobooks like The Things from this creature's perspective. Maybe being assimilated isn't all that bad.
The Alien Franchise has aged well; if the original two videos and respective Merchandise is considered apart from the Sequels. Regarding The Thing. Something about the setting forced Authors and Directors to focus on suspending disbelief initially. The introduction of a civil setting (Polar exloration) also helped immensely. In this way >Alien< with its plot centered around a Mining expedition is very close to >the Thing< in concept because of that same relatability.
@@a-sheep-of-christ That's true, but when it comes to Giger's Alien franchise it has a very specific setting. The Weyland-Yutani corporation and some 1970s sci-fi retro exploration/space military infrastructure. With The Thing it's just so versatile, and as the alien in the stories can morph perfectly into foreign environments. The Thing from Another World: Climate of Fear is a great example. It's just a general playground for artists both today and from the past, look up the 1981 The Thing art contest. The winner in my opinion has the 2nd best interpretation of The Thing's "true form." The cover for A New Dawn: The Complete Don A. Stuart Stories is the best.
Ships recorded message; Hello, hel...... is anyone there, my name is Commander Kiera Leigh, of the spaceship Icraeya, this isnt my ship, its not even my time. "Is that a man in there or something".
Perfect for my late night work 👍
"Jesus how long you think this has been in the ice?"
The beginning brings that same feeling that Rust used to when I open it, it's perfect
The callisto protocol is all I'm thinking of when I see this image.

Hi boyo
Don't forget blade runner ;0)
“What happened here? Where is everyone? What did they find? What danger awaits us…”
I love your stuff. How about a military command-center-like ambience? I feel like that'd be interesting
👍
Let’s sit here awhile….and see what happens
To quote Lambert: "Let's get the hell out of here!" Oh sorry, wrong movie.
Eerie...
I like to play pc games about space, including this music in the background
