Malcolm X Speaks on Divide and Conquer Tactics

  • Brother Malcolm explains the importance of divide and conquer.
Steve Biko once said "We are oppressed not as individuals, not as Zulus, Xhosas, Vendas or Indians. We are oppressed because we are black. We must use that very concept to unite ourselves and to respond as a cohesive group. We must cling to each other with a tenacity that will shock the perpetrators of evil."
For a people to be unified in the true sense, they must have a common ideology (body of ideas) reflecting a common outlook, which provides a common direction and objective. That ideology to properly serve the people must come from that people's culture and own historical experiences.
    Same people:
The common identity of African people cannot be denied. This identity is reflected in various ways, from our physical features to our common history and culture. It is from our culture that we must formulate the principles, methods, and objectives that should guide our struggle. Our traditional culture is one that stresses the collective good over the individual. This collective nature must not only define our people as our priority, but also be a reflection of how we organize our collective struggle for freedom.
    Same Problems:
Our common identity is reflected in us having the same problems regardless of where we live in this world. In Africa we do not control the means of producing the necessities of life and development. Throughout the world we do not control our labor power or the political institutions which govern our lives. It is this reality which places our youth to be used as child soldiers in the drug and mineral trades in Africa and the Diaspora. Therefore for us to rise in Zimbabwe, Kingston, Harlem or Watts, Africa and her people must rise as a whole.
    Same Solutions:
Some may ask the question, "what is relevance of seeing myself as African as opposed to Ghanaian, Haitian or African-American, etc?" A people with a common identity and a common destiny, especially a people suffering from exploitation, MUST have a common objective. As Malcolm X taught us, all revolutionary struggles for freedom are based on land. The land of Africa must be the focal point of our struggle for social, political and economic development. Pan-Africanism must be our objective for Africans at home and abroad!

Divide and conquer is a battle strategy. To beat it, you must first see it happening. Not a black/white issue. But the tactic is very simple. Don't fall for the division. Easy to see it in left/right politics especially.

Is there any doubt that by "divide and conquer", we mean that they emasculate men (by telling them to emasculate themselves) who share a facial bone structure with women [who are most likely to be genetically similar, since genes are inherited in clumps] rather than having become a different species [than those women by] now?

Say what you will about Malcom X. The man was way more principled than the leaders of today. Gun rights, Freedom of speech and assembly, and so on. Even if I disagree about his Islamic faith, he had every right to preach and speak about it. The day that people stop to exercise their rights, is the day we all really need to be concerned. No matter our beliefs, or walk of life we come from. I would really like to know what he'd say about today's situation in our country. To say he'd be unhappy is a gross understatement. The only way we can assure our freedom to future generations to come, and continue to inspire those around us that life does not have to be like this.

Well said! I've been thinking about a news story from 2 yrs ago. There was a backlash against a White high school teacher who was suspended for using the n-word in class. When interviewed the students told the country what happened: An ordinary White guy who teaches in a predominantly Black class, was fed up with students using the n-word so he told the class to, "Please NOT use the word "ni66a" in my classroom!" They wanted to FIRE this teacher & see he never works in the teaching profession again! If Malcolm X were alive today I feel that he would thank him for his bravery in confronting hatred & bigotry.
Any grownup man or woman can understand the difference between a quote & using a word as weapon to promote bigotry.
That teacher deserves a medal not an unemployment check.
Is this what the world has come to? 17 year old Black kids who overuse a racist word are so fragile & sensitive that when a White teacher tells them NOT to use that racist word in HIS classroom they call for his head on a platter? When did it become ok to use this word as a term of endearment & love by one race, but verboten by those of another race?
Think about it: They want the dude banned from teaching for declaring racist words are not allowed in HIS class.

Malcolm X definitely studied and learned more about our Creator than the media wants us to know. He knew that we were all created by one Creator as family, but God is good and the devil is evil in the perpetual reciprocation of the Supreme Omnidimentional Spirit that absolutely must be the Infinite, Eternal, All-Powerful, Always All-Creating, Always All-Inclusive, and Always All-Knowing Spirit. So, always do the right thing for the greater good of the whole world human family, and we will all definitely be blessed in this life or the next life.

Citizens practice "sitting". Civil rights aren't going anywhere, but right isn't the better without competency. Your 'nametag' isn't for you to be your own person. What's the separating and isolating you out of the group achieve? Separation in schools was 'news' then and don't ignore that this was more than a color issue. Nevermind that all 'little one's' still "separate" by attending, and there's more similarities by these two examples we might reconsider that the black and white controversy had many more conditions and most weren't obvious.
The point of who and what we are doesn't explain that to itself, and any attempt is counter intuitive. An expanding universe is uncreation. Your "right" is what your worrying others by. What happens if gravity flips, the stars, sun, and moon all are thrust beyond the gravitational pull 'i' 'we' or 'you' are actually in power for? I am not the name you branded me. Get that.

the current racial rhetoric in America encourage identity segregation, uber-consciousness, and division of people based on race: this combined with state benefit replacing the father, and the dismantling of families, and a left/right political division mindset: is deliberate. Gay people are now supposed to be a tribe - with their own flag, and not just Americans who happen to be gay, and should try to work and get on with their private lives privately. The public must be divided, or they will unite. Women must work so they are less likely to breed, or be present to raise their children - who must be state funded, and /or educated by the state. The thing that most divides Americans is the distribution of money and power. Those with power want to keep and control all the money. Meanwhile the circus of the media perpetuates divisions, and distracts the fragmented public from understanding the proxy wars, and foreign colonialism to steal natural resources to benefit those with all the money in power. This elite group of business leaders have such financial control they direct the politicians.

There IS a division among people. BUT! That division is not by appearance! That division is by the WISDOM, LOYALTY, and INTEGRITY, of a person. In other words (which are famous), the CONTENT of a person's CHARACTER!!!!!!! Who said that? Was he right? Absolutely! The problem is when the division is NOT WISE, but FOOLISH!!!!!!! A foolish division is what Malcolm's speech is about. Foolish division is the ONLY division possible among people! It is NEVER possible among the WISE, but at the same time you can still have a wise division! But a fool or fools must be involved! That's the division! Examples of this "phenomenon" as FACT is evident throughout all of human history guaranteed! If you are WISE enough to decipher them! One example that we all know of is Muhammad Ali's refusal to honor his draft into the Vietnam war. However, in a BASICALLY similar circumstance, it was good and honorable for Joe Louis, Sugar Ray Robinson and James Braddock to serve in WWII! So there you go right there! WISE choices in BOTH circumstances; same basic situation from an obvious PHYSICAL perspective. However, beyond the obvious....? Essentially, stopping the forces of pure, psychotic evil is one thing, helping south Vietnam was one thing, but sacrificing American lives to get rid of as many blacks and poor whites (and viet cong) as would happen to increase sugar and rubber for the rich is lame as all get out! Not only did we end up looking like jerks forever, and lose (mostly due to too many southerners in the ranks), and waste trillions of dollars, the only resource America ended up with is heroin! Which is basically chemical warfare against ourselves!!!!!!! WTF?! Ali wanted no part of that bull💩/HORSE 💩! Anyway, the moral to this analysis is: While America truly is the greatest country on earth bar none; taking into account ALL personal elements involved WISELY....... it is what it is! Choices!

But if the white man's Greatest strategy has been to divide and conquer blacks doesn't that ultimately mean . The white man is not the problem the problem is us. In recent years I can see this issue clearly with black men particularly towards black woman. This is not from the root of any jealousy because ov years of starting my life being married to a man of a different race and country.
After my divorce and engagement with a black man and developing a passion to advocate for black men under the leadership of a black man for the first time in my life. It became very apparent to me that black men were not as unified nor concerned about the black woman as much as she is groomed to be about him.
Having a extremely protective husband of an entirely different race this was extremely offensive and odd. Another thing I'd notice is the inferior status black woman held in the eyes of black men. Irregardless of how beautiful, educated, financially established, spiritually committed and loyal to thier advocacy for the betterment of black men. On a very personal level even the most passionate black man advocates seem to view black woman in a very negative light . Especially for taking on his passions and achieving goals to represent the race in ways he seemed in the majority to be unwilling or incapable of doing as a man.
This began a mutual disconnect for me also being a women growing up in a household of boys and having a husband young in life and a father and mother who taught me this is inappropriate behavior for a woman. I became romantically disinterested in black men romantically because in my nature ultimately what attracts me to a man is his attraction to me. I didn't really want to be where I was unwanted or apart of a movement to save purely black men who are supposed to be saving his women and children.
I left the movement which really wasn't a movement at all it was a church that I kinda stumbled over into the black movement in while seeking Jesus not black empowerment. However I needed a church and a life so I settled with a man from my father's Island of Jamaica who had the same views and ethnic background as my father. Both African and Indigent Indian deceant he had the striking appearance and exact culture and heritage as my father. He provided me normality in a personal home environment with a relationship with roles I was a custom to and we started what would be my second family.
The conditions of the black state had been introduced to me but I noticed many of the problems are primarily self imposed . There is no real identity, structure,or normal roles but more importantly loyalty for the group. As appose to individuals who are primarily men in other groups of women being protected and provided for by the men. In the black race females are forced into the role of manhood for her and their children survival in essence she's the Alpha.
It is placated by the black men to be the more Oracle complainers or sexual and physically violent but never physically productive males. So they possess no real power because his unwillingness not to want to be empowered. Especially due to his lack of being counter productive, responsible, protective and providers standin his leadership role within his household or community as a man Often times he's hypergamous seeking the role of a female within the community so the human autonomy of what would be his primary position as a man is non-existent in most black males. This why civil rights for blacks is misinterpreted to mean the entire society especially women and children for the most part. But within the groups founded by blacks this means save black men.
Its almost like a lion pride which works for an lion who is a big pussycat who is living below his pride But it is conducive with the human lifestyles many black woman and children have to face. That kind of neglect and absentee manhood well until it's time to breed black unfathered children and blame women. They have destroyed a race as men thus a race of people not to mention black race of people to be seen with no pride and value. Hiding away while his women possess the Power structure of her race among men of the world tells men he is not a man.
So the women are left to do this alone or as a majority for her community, church ,family and race existence among the world of prominently men. It makes the race vunarable to be seen as inferior not because blacks are inferior but men know women aren't physically capable of dominating men as women. So she becomes a welfare State among men they give her charity because let's face it real men don't get pleasure in conquering a race of women with no male protection. Raping or turning her into a sex slave within the society was optional but not today. They are given her opportunities because unlike all the other races who have men unlike the black race.
Or more like Unlike the majority of the populations of women of any normal race who have men. I was incapable of becoming that kind of women or loving and having an attraction to that kind of man . So I removed myself after being enlightened that I was not the type of women for the environment. Which now looking back is a correct assessment it is impossible for me to be a man.
It seems this is also the case for black men in the masses as well not to be a man Hopefully one day they will be it just doesn't seem like it will be today. At least as weak of a black woman as I maybe I do possesss the character trait that seems to have black men destroyed. That's love and loyalty so it is genuinely my hope that the masses of black men could one day cultivate the love and loyalty within themselves to step up and see something in the people he created both male and female that one day he feels is worth fighting and conquering for.
No one could never stop us from being a united kingdom we tore apart many centuries ago. Love and loyalty brings no division because United even when we are forced to be apart we come together because we are one and you can't conquer love no matter how hard you try. But it seems you can't undivide hate so every man and woman benefits off black people because of how we divide and conquer ourselves. Due to the pure hate they have for one another and that! Only we can solve that problem. God Bless You I was exiled from the black race years ago in that experience it was one important thing I found out about black men particularly. That is what they hate even more than black people . That is the truth and the truth shall make you free. But I pray we overcome the divisions within that keeps us oppressed.
