Personally I find close up ear to ear whispering very relaxing. Some ideas are picking some words like "relax" and phrases like "its okay " , "go to sleep", repeating them really does a wonderful job.

there's nothing to be ashamed about man. For me the training I had whilst at arms to sleep translated in my mind as listening to the bois breathing and it calms you down. I think a lot of people find this relaxing, and, as long as you get your sleep, that's all that matters, my friend.
