Skulltaker could be Khorne's Oxyotl... except he teleports to fight lords who have won many battles in a row. Same campaign mechanic but with different trigger and reasoning.
They could give Arbaal an adapted Sun Ce System. In 3K Sun Ce has to fight/ accomplish objectives to not run out of chance and basically die. So you could have a credit system where basically every time you get defeated / routed / wounded you lose some. When reaching 0 you die. Would give the feeling of « You cannot loose » but still be controllable for the players. And winning the narrative campaign would allow you to stop the credits descending or slow it. Pretty sure there would be a way to implement it that way
Or just make him turn into a chaos spawn same way Malus Darkblade does except his happens automatically upon morale break or death... then hes unbreakable spawn and fights to the death. After that hes wounded like any other lord... you know no legendary lord can die in the game anyway. And most of these lords in the game would never fight eachother anyway because they dont even exist at the sametime in lore. No need for credits system... that would suck and put too much pressure into not losing any battles. No other lord in the game has that anyway... outside generic ones under level 20 because you would lose their levels if they die without being immortal.
@Forrest Mcgee BFGA1, Dawn of War2, Xcom, all have such 'fight to keep what you have mechanics', they're all great games and made better for having it.
@@jukahriYeah true it's just that those games are by design suited to 'Ironman' modes and survival challenges, whereas this is intended to be a sandbox where you gradually build an empire over time, so for the most part it's more about a gradual tweaking of the experience to prevent a player's empire snowballing and expanding too quick, and research and overall progression is there to add things to the experience - It can differ from player to player but in TW I just want good A.I. that will try to outmaneuver me and a tech tree/building requirements to gradually add units 😄

After it is now officially and after we know more after Thrones. Do you think Skulltaker will coming for sure? We have Epidemios now. Also the masque could be something for later? Or is now Urball more possible? With his giant axe and his mountoption he reminds totally of Tamurkhan. Also after the Hound of Korne is in the game. I think both are possible.
I'm totally with you on the Orc and Ogre variant, because I also think that both Vampire Counts and all the other undead factions need something of their own, which then hopefully is somehow related to Nagash.
A somewhat balanced way for the khorne characters headhunting mechanic would be if he declares war on a faction with higher strength ranking than his own he can instantly teleport to the legendary lord and fight them. Would somewhat limit his ability to snowball since he can't teleport to weaker factions and it fits his lore of only seeking the strongest champions. Maybe as a upside he could get 2x or 1.5x on LL defeat traits or give the defeat traits he has collected to all lords of his faction since he has given their skulls to khorne so all his generals gain their strength.
I think a Khorne dlc would be a good time to rework Norsca. Good tie in lord with Egil Styrbjorn (for Norsca). Would also love to see Bragg the Gutsman cuz all the concept art looks sick.
I notice amount of characters in this setting with reputation of being unbeatable on one on one combat :'D Wonder what happens if they all face each other

wondering the same thing. I know he shows up in the end times and then they keep reusing him in 40k and aos so maybe thats why cause hes to spread out over all the lore?
I think it's mostly that he does not fit into Total War Warhammer. The game is about Warhammer Fantasy, in which Ka'bandha does not really have a role and we already have a bloodthirster LL. Ka'bandhas only real difference would be the fact that he has functional wings, he does not bring anything interesting to the table. I would not mind him, but I would rather take any other Khornate character
Skull taker never having any interactions with blood dragons is really odd. Abhorash or Walach most certainty would’ve got his attention. Maybe it’s due to the lack of soul?
@@MaledictGaming but getting direct boons from the chaos gods isnt? Only logical reason would be lack of souls, but its more likely GW just didnt think of it or it was going to be in the cancelled abhorash book
I'd love to see an update based around Karak 8 peaks. Give updates to Queek, Skarsnik, and Belegar. Skarsnik could get all the missing squigg units as well as buffs for them. Maybe some kind of active abilities that act as traps. Don't really know enough about Queek and Belegar but I'm sure they could be given some new mechanics/units to freshen them up as well as they both feel lacking compared to others of their races.
I'd love an undead focused DLC for Counts, Tomb Kings and Coast. Give the monsters you mentioned plus a giant undead octopus for the pirates. Pirates need to have a Kraken even if there is no unit in the lore. :D
I remember reading on reddit that with the slaanesh one there'd be 99 lords counting gotrek. Do you think before khone's there'll be something special for #100?
If CA continue in the same vein, it is possible that Nagash (or Thanquol?) will come as the 100th lord but in an FLC like Drycha, allowing them to still do a Khorne vs whoever DLC while rewarding the player-base with something special. At least that's what I'd like to believe!

For vampire counts, I could also see, maybe if they do not want to bring Neferata yet, or maybe as a Legendary Hero choice, them bringing out Dieter Helsnicht, who could play a role of bringing more normal beasts into the Vampire Count roster with a faction that could focus on Beasts and as a Legendary Hero, he could possibly have similar abilities to a Packmaster where he is able to summon stuff like Manticores or, Bears or Wolves or similar types of animals
Neferata as a legendary hero would be rage inducing to the highest degree. The vampire with easily the most obvious unique mechanic niche, and (subjectively) coolest lore not being playable in her own right but as a lackey to other factions would suck so much.
man you called it and i agree: a Champions of Chaos-style DLC for orcs & goblins sounds incredible. include some tweaks to the Call to WAAAGH mechanic and a Daniel-style "Boss" with visible customization and I am the happiest git
I think the most interesting data point when it comes to speculating about this DLC is that it will contain the 100th Legendary Lord and that amidst all the hype prior to WH3's launch, it was suggested that CA has someone special in mind for LL 100. The most common predictions I heard at the time were Nagash and Thanquol for the 100th LL slot
I feel Aborash Would match against the two undefeated khorne characters you mentioned. Called it, Clash of the blood Champions. After all, Aborash too sought out champions to fight, makes sense they'd find each other.
The unique mechanic for Skulltaker could be the Cloak of Skulls. 8 slots for "champion's skulls". This mechanic comes at the cost of gaining Legendary Defeat Traits normally. When Skulltaker's army defeats a non-legendary lord, he gets a champion's skull that grants bonuses based on the type of lord it is, like magic defense from a mage lord or melee defense from a melee lord. The real skulls you want for the cloak come from Legendary Lords, which each have their own reward, with their legendary defeat trait being tied to said skull alongside other bonuses. Where it extends is that the cloak allows Skulltaker to apply those bonuses to Bloodletters, Exalted Bloodletters, and Bloodletter heroes in his army. Starts with 2 slots open with more being unlocked by offering skulls. To remove a skull from the cloak, it can be offered to Khorne to allow Skulltaker to either gain a combat buff for a few turns or to teleport to a different part of the map in search of new prey.
Do melee army rush update ie Lizardmen and Greenskins opposite Khorne. Do Tetto'eko and Chakax for the LM, Gorfang Rotgut with the final touches to the orcs, and either Arbaal or the Skulltaker. Personally I want every God's herald level deamon and one more mortal like Egrimm, Dechala, and Arbaal, but I don't care if for this series of DLC they aren't consistent between doing a mortal/daemon for each.
For those wondering - Arbaal being a Norscan is taken from the Sea of Claws supplement for WHFRP 4 where Arbaal's name is listed as being an etymologically Norscan name. Ungrim fought Scyla during the End Times but it was never made particularly clear if he actually got killed. He ended up in the Crystal Labryinth when the world blew up.
I wonder if it would be Vamp Counts and Greenskins? Both are game 1 factions, like with Empire and Dwarfs. That would finish off the overhauls for the Game 1 base factions.
If they actually do apophas. I'd like for him to have four special abilities not spells. 1) vomiting scarabs or scarab tied. would act like a wind spell. 2) scarab storm. is a vortex that he turns into, that you can control. 3) soul stealer. It basically acts like the spell. 4) scarab swarm. It's basically him turning into, the scarab swarm ability, able to hit land or air targets.
I guess they could go for seperate DLC or series of DLCs with main heralds of chaos gods after this quartet featuring characters that are not heralds like Dechala, Tamurkhan etc.
I really enjoy these speculation videos. I was wondering do you think it could be possible we see a 5th DLC after the presumed Khorne one that involves Chaos Undivided/Warriors of Chaos vs 2 other factions? Or do you feel character's like Thanquol, Tetto'eko, etc will come in other forms later down the line?
Bretonnia, Norsca would be nice. One thing I would love CA to do is a "Main lord" rework. Currently, the race leaders, like Karl Franz, Tyrion, Queek... they are the most bland without specific mechanics. I would pay for a rework around those.
did we mention Scyla Anfingrimm? maybe Khorne gets a brother of Thamurkan. Since other updates are updates for core factions, i doubt we get a DLC with DLC factions.
What is your opinion on the Khorne Dragon that got made for AoS some years back? I always suspected it was meant to be with the Khorne themed book that FW was going to do?

I can NOT wait for your Vampire Counts video. I watched when you did your tin foil hat prediction for VC on stream. Shame I did not clip it for myself.
I feel like the best way to do Arbaal is to make him die when he routs, and have an increased wound recovery time. That way it’s punishing, but it overly so.
It could be an ability of the Destroyer in combat. At the moment when his morale drops to the point of fleeing, he becomes a much stronger spawn and with maximum life but with rampage
Have there been any examples of Karanak being sent to track down a particular target? I'm just curious about what it takes to annoy Khorne enough for him to send Karanak out to deal with them.
Be prepared for a surprise when these unannounced DLC's comes out! There are many factions that match well thematically and it is still most likely that Sotek's prediction will be the framework for DLC's, but the Thrones of Decay one has me thinking they will actually work their way through the three games and update their factions in order. Kislev & Cathay were included in the first, and my feeling is that these, along with Tzeentch, Nurgle, Empire & Dwarfs are mentioned a lot in the community as the factions most in need of updates as the mechanics are outdated and the roster has noticeable gaps in unit types that put them at a clear disadvantage at times, and this is partly why there is initially a mix of Game 1 and Game 3 factions. The other reason is that each DLC might feature one Game 3 faction and the others are from the earliest game with factions yet to be updated to make sure those factions waiting the longest get updated first, and might go something like this; Tzeentch Cathay Kislev Nurgle Dwarfs Empire Slaanesh Vampire Counts Wood Elves Khorne Greenskins Norsca Lizardmen Skaven Beastmen High Elves Dark Elves Bretonnia Tomb Kings Vampire Coast The Daemon Prince Ogre Kingdoms Warriors of Chaos Chaos Dwarfs *Be'lakor may not receive updates, or they will be released free This updates the factions more or less in release order, but also allows each pack to feel thematic in some sense or another (Beastie factions like Lizardmen/Skaven/Beastmen, or TK/Vampire Coast/Daemon Prince being called "Kings, Princes and Admirals). This way, The Game 1 factions are updated sooner rather than later and the most recent releases aren't being added to too soon. Bit of a left field guess as Legendary Hero additions in the DLC's and patches may be added in this pattern instead so as to keep the longtime players happy until their favourites from 1 & 2 get updated. Let me know what you think!
Vampire rework would means Krill might get rework as well as a legendary hero, which fit the theme very well. I think they can still do a champion of chaose type dlc with the last three bloodline later.
I'd love if Orcs got a monsterous cav squig riders and the collosal squig along with Gorbad and maybe some other artillery like a spear chukka. Also, a savage orc shaman hero who, instead of magic acts more like a priest with bound abilities. Or maybe an orc beast tamer type hero. Something that isn't a spellcaster or basic combat guy. Orcs should get some kind of buff based support hero. Similarly, wasn't there other famous bloodthirsters? I remember there being a bloodthrister who was known for his tactical ability and wasn't a big dumb berserker. I can't remember his name though. Love the idea of a Maneater dlc for Ogres but I wonder if it would be best to save that for the possibility of Dogs of War (if that ever happens). A DoW/Southern Realms dlc followed by a lord pack dlc that has a handful of merceneary based characters from various races would be cool.
irc tinfoil hat series is way wackier and usually the edits have some jokes on it, this I would consider a classic speculation video from Sotek. Wish the tinfoil came back soon tho.
I strongly belive that most swarms are not feasible beacause they require new attack animations towards the ground from most everything in the game (for it to look ok), but nurglings that climb into man-high blogs work. That said, flying swarms wouldn't have that problem.
I think my favorite thing about this whole video is that as the time progresses, Sotek throws all fucks out the window about the language he uses. "the FUCK YOU sized construct" describing the Khemric Titan got me good
If we get Skulltaker as the LL for Khorne I'd love to see that come with a DLC/Update for Norsca, specifically for Wulfrik, since the two of them have such strong parallels in their lore, both being hitmen of chaos essentially
I feel Konrad could be a cool LL personnaly. He kinda has the credentials but especially I feel that it would force us to have Vampire Heros alongside him for the magic. Would be pretty unique. Mainly in campaign but in multiplayer as well. Would be a different dynamic.
I'd like to see Skitgit "Da Black Gobbo", da shiftiest an' da sneakiest, da most cunnin' an' conniving. He'd be a great hero, maybe lord, but since he's primarily a thief, he'd better be a hero probably (he even stole his hood (and tribe) from a Goblin Warboss he killed - it used to be that guy's pants) He has some nice (stolen) runic items, amongst them an axe that breaks magic items.
My prediction is Khorne, Blood Dragons and Bretonnia. I think they could definitely fit a theme of blood with it. Along with that you could get a rework for the Vampires and Bretonnia
what are your thoughts on like a Khorn vs Skaven vs Greenskins DLC? The never ending war, all three factions are factions that fight using extreme numbers and fight on scales greater than anything else. My thought for the narrative is that Khorn wants to kill off the skaven because he hates their cowardly tech, and wages war against the Greenskins because he seeks the never ending battle they crave.
Do you guys think Green skin could be involved with Khrone DLC? I mean they like good fight so, They would definitely have reason to seek a Good fight...

Or do you feel character's like Thanquol, Tetto'eko, etc will come in other forms later down the line?
i think vampire counts need a 4 LL dlc dedicated to them
Vampire counts DLC with Nagash on October 31st, 2024? Since Khorne DLC I summer of next year
Bretonnia, Norsca would be nice.
One thing I would love CA to do is a "Main lord" rework. Currently, the race leaders, like Karl Franz, Tyrion, Queek... they are the most bland without specific mechanics. I would pay for a rework around those.
Franz is okay I think. Rework Gelt instead so Franz is the only one with the Elector Count mechanic. (and maybe rework the mechanic a little bit)
@@rocketroux5838 Maybe also give a modified version of it to Vlad.
Think we get vampires in the slaneesh dlc and Nagash as the 100th LL
did we mention Scyla Anfingrimm? maybe Khorne gets a brother of Thamurkan. Since other updates are updates for core factions, i doubt we get a DLC with DLC factions.
What is your opinion on the Khorne Dragon that got made for AoS some years back? I always suspected it was meant to be with the Khorne themed book that FW was going to do?
Also I've been seeing more content creators put their channels on rumble and odysee just wondering if you'll will put yours on them in the future, not forcing you. Stay awesome

Great video, love hearing all your predictions and the lore behind them. I hope its Vamps because they need it but what I want is khorne vs greenskins vs ogres. I think it works ok but the main reason why is to get a greenskins plus ogre dlc.
Posted to early lol didnt get to the khorne vs greenskins vs ogres yet
Lahmian guard would be a good way to give the VC an infantry anti large unit the fills the graveguard with halberds roll people keep asking for
1:01:40 I mean, guarantied immortality and the highest honor their profesion can get is a pretty good deal from their perspective.
Could do the blood chariot from storm of chaos as a unit and deamon character mount
Is Karanak the reason there is no Gold wizards? Always kind of wondered why Ghelt was it and no hero.
There was a Orc Boss in Shadow of the Horned Rat - "Warboss Urgat Rip-Eye" prob to much of a no body though right? like a hellman gorst to the orcs,
I know it's unlikely, but I'd like to see lizards or wood elves get some love
It could be an ability of the Destroyer in combat. At the moment when his morale drops to the point of fleeing, he becomes a much stronger spawn and with maximum life but with rampage
Have there been any examples of Karanak being sent to track down a particular target? I'm just curious about what it takes to annoy Khorne enough for him to send Karanak out to deal with them.
51:32 "it also comes with a pretty nice set of busts" I'll say...
Be prepared for a surprise when these unannounced DLC's comes out! There are many factions that match well thematically and it is still most likely that Sotek's prediction will be the framework for DLC's, but the Thrones of Decay one has me thinking they will actually work their way through the three games and update their factions in order. Kislev & Cathay were included in the first, and my feeling is that these, along with Tzeentch, Nurgle, Empire & Dwarfs are mentioned a lot in the community as the factions most in need of updates as the mechanics are outdated and the roster has noticeable gaps in unit types that put them at a clear disadvantage at times, and this is partly why there is initially a mix of Game 1 and Game 3 factions. The other reason is that each DLC might feature one Game 3 faction and the others are from the earliest game with factions yet to be updated to make sure those factions waiting the longest get updated first, and might go something like this;
Tzeentch
Cathay
Kislev
Nurgle
Dwarfs
Empire
Slaanesh
Vampire Counts
Wood Elves
Khorne
Greenskins
Norsca
Lizardmen
Skaven
Beastmen
High Elves
Dark Elves
Bretonnia
Tomb Kings
Vampire Coast
The Daemon Prince
Ogre Kingdoms
Warriors of Chaos
Chaos Dwarfs
*Be'lakor may not receive updates, or they will be released free
This updates the factions more or less in release order, but also allows each pack to feel thematic in some sense or another (Beastie factions like Lizardmen/Skaven/Beastmen, or TK/Vampire Coast/Daemon Prince being called "Kings, Princes and Admirals).
I think a cool mechanic for Skulltaker himself would be he gains strength when other units are not nearby.
I would have thought this level of speculation would call for a hat change.
irc tinfoil hat series is way wackier and usually the edits have some jokes on it, this I would consider a classic speculation video from Sotek. Wish the tinfoil came back soon tho.
I strongly belive that most swarms are not feasible beacause they require new attack animations towards the ground from most everything in the game (for it to look ok), but nurglings that climb into man-high blogs work. That said, flying swarms wouldn't have that problem.
This is my man’s job and he doesn’t even give himself notes to remember names
I think my favorite thing about this whole video is that as the time progresses, Sotek throws all fucks out the window about the language he uses. "the FUCK YOU sized construct" describing the Khemric Titan got me good
If we get Skulltaker as the LL for Khorne I'd love to see that come with a DLC/Update for Norsca, specifically for Wulfrik, since the two of them have such strong parallels in their lore, both being hitmen of chaos essentially
I’ve never seen skulltakers cape
I feel Konrad could be a cool LL personnaly. He kinda has the credentials but especially I feel that it would force us to have Vampire Heros alongside him for the magic. Would be pretty unique. Mainly in campaign but in multiplayer as well. Would be a different dynamic.
I'd like to see Skitgit "Da Black Gobbo", da shiftiest an' da sneakiest, da most cunnin' an' conniving.
He'd be a great hero, maybe lord, but since he's primarily a thief, he'd better be a hero probably (he even stole his hood (and tribe) from a Goblin Warboss he killed - it used to be that guy's pants)
He has some nice (stolen) runic items, amongst them an axe that breaks magic items.
My prediction is Khorne, Blood Dragons and Bretonnia.
I think they could definitely fit a theme of blood with it. Along with that you could get a rework for the Vampires and Bretonnia
Yes
what are your thoughts on like a Khorn vs Skaven vs Greenskins DLC? The never ending war, all three factions are factions that fight using extreme numbers and fight on scales greater than anything else. My thought for the narrative is that Khorn wants to kill off the skaven because he hates their cowardly tech, and wages war against the Greenskins because he seeks the never ending battle they crave.
Is Arbaal and Wulfrik from different time periods? Because it seems like they would have clashed with each other in Norsca for sure.
Thank you for the content Sotek!!
I would be so hyped for karanak, he is best boy
1:06:30 "i think we can fudge a priest." lol
I love listening to these in the background while playing Total War Warhammer. :D *goes to "like" button*
Do you guys think Green skin could be involved with Khrone DLC?
I mean they like good fight so, They would definitely have reason to seek a Good fight...
