Of all the characters in all the books, DnD type, Elminster was my favorite.
He remained kind, compassionate and good thru his journeys, saving the realms over and over.

Myth drannor's mythal wasn't a "High magic" mythal. It was a 9th level spell that copied the Real HIGH MAGIC ritual. The creator Mythanthar created it in a attempt to duplicate some of the power he once weilded. He. Had lost the ability to cast high magic after a ritual backlash. The spell only echos the real mythal ritual on the surface. The real mythal ritual was more potent. Fyi😊
