I clean my baskets the same way, but I do in the shower since my sink is on the smaller size. I sometimes also sprinkle in some baking soda in the soapy water.
I haven’t tried baking soda but sounds like a good idea. Bathtubs works well too

I love your videos ❤ how can I wash a picnic basket?
Good question! I wash mine exactly the same as regular baskets but I have one picnic basket that comes with a cloth inside but it does come off. So I’m able to take it off and throw it in the washer on the gentle cycle. But if your cloth doesn’t come off I would wash the whole thing in the bathtub or outside with the water hose if you have that option.
I had no idea that baskets were that dirty.
