WOW! One of the very best, clearly scripted, clearly edited, great audio (thanks for NO horrible music in the background to compete with you voice). Actually, one of the very best reviews i have ever seen on any product. Well Done
Aww thank you so much Fletcher! 🥰 I'm really glad that you liked it! I've actually been wondering whether to put in music to make it more engaging, but I guess I'll leave it as it is for now! 😅
I have the T3 and T4 hub tents .Both are bomb proof. I had the T4 set up without staking it in when a serious storm with ground level cross winds came through and the tent was not bothered. I recommend running a bead of clear silicone around the top of the inner velcro otherwise you will wake up to an infestation of ants and other bugs. Before doing so run a 6 way outlet through the right side and silicone it in place permanently. I put mine on the right side about a third of the way back so that i can access any electronics and also keep remotes etc in the right side pouch . Also seal the the eyebolts where they pass through fabric. They did leak in both tents before sealing, Also use tent seam seal around the fabric surrounding the eyebolts. I bought a 13 foot line of usb led lights that i wound around the interior tent poles throughout the entire tent. I use a power bank to run them and they work great at lighting up the tents plus they change colors, strobe and other effects .When setting up tent only pull out 2 sides then put on all of rain fly before pulling out other 2 sides then step inside and pop up center .. Pull out sides nice and easy while stepping on bottom fabric at grommet. Do the same when taking it down . --Pop 2 sides in then pop top down from outside then take rain fly off then pop last 2 sides in and remember to wrap up tight with velcro straps before putting it in carry bag ...Use a magic marker to mark a spot where you want tent positioned whenever setting it up . I marked a F (for Front)on upper right corner so that as I start to set up tent I look for the F and spin tent so that that side of tent is where I like it . I am right handed so i prefer a door to be positioned on the right side when set up..Ps If you ever break a tent pole I think Tractor Supply store has some fiberglass poles that are the same or similar size. They don't sell them as tent poles but i think they are same size.
Hi!! Thank you so much for the input I really appreciate it, especially cos I don't have the T3. 🥰 Oh I'm really glad that you managed to stay dry! I didn't think that it was possible to seal the eyebolts, thanks for letting me know! What did you use to seal it? Oooh the tip on silicone is really helpful too! And the tips on the rainfly setup and the fiberglass replacement poles! 🥰 I was really careful when using this tent cos I didn't want anything to break 😅
@@CampingGuidance I was asking pengoat9 in the response above. The removal bottom is a bad idea for campers I believe. Was just wondering if you could permanently seal it off effectively and not harm the tent. Or maybe just never remove it and it will be fine? Thanks
The amount of detail you give on these reviews is pretty insane. Cutting all this together and doing the scripts and stuff must take many many hours. I hope your channel continues to grow as you definitely deserve some respect for this amount of detail.
Thank you so much for the sweet comment, I really appreciate it 🥰 Hahaha you're right it does take many many hours, but I truly enjoy buying and testing gear and putting everything together, so that helps! I'm really glad that you appreciate all the time and effort and details though 🥰 It means a lot to me!
You poured an unbelievable amount of work and thought into this. The editing alone was a job, I’m sure. It is appreciated, and impressive. I love your voice as well. Thank you!
Aww thank you so much for your kind words! 🥰 That truly means a lot to me, and I'm glad at least one of us likes my voice 🤣 I hope you managed to find all the info you needed with this!
@@CampingGuidance I LOVE her voice. That is one thing that can keep me from subscribing to other people's channels. She doesn't whine or exaggerate or get emotional about tent features. Better than any of the videos I've seen anyone else do. No one comes close to being as thorough as hers. She's got me wanting a Winona 6 form N. Face, but that is WAY out of my price range. Keep On Doing Videos @CampingGuidance. You'll soon be the best in this category.
@@omearica-rc6fp Awww thank you again! 🥰 It really means a lot that you think so highly of me, I'll do my best not to let you down! I think REI might have running a 30% off on the Wawona during their anniversary sale, if you wanna keep an eye on that!
Mind blown on how extensive your reviews are.. absolutely amazing job. I'm in the market for a tent and now have your channel as an encyclopedia for reference lol! Thanks for sharing everything you have!
Awww thank you so much for saying that, you're too kind 🥰🥰🥰 I'm really glad that you're liking the detail in these reviews, it makes all the effort worth it. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions!
Aww thank you so much for waiting for this review! 🥰 That means a lot to me. Sorry to keep you waiting so long! I'm still trying to figure out how to speed up my review processes 😅
She EARNED my subscription. Best videos I've seen. I'm getting rid of most of the other channels I subscribe to now that I found her videos. EXCELLENT REVIEWS.
Oh wow that's such high praise, I'm honored! 🥰 But you wanna hang on to those other channels though, cos I'm SUPER slow when it comes to testing and publishing content 😅 I don't have a lot published sadly 😅
Your reviews are unquestionably my favorite camping gear reviews on RUclips. Great job! We just bought the Coleman Prairie 9 tent and I noticed the reviews online weren't very good, especially for putting up and taking down. Would love if you could review it!
Hi Bradley! Thank you so much for your kind words, it really means a lot to me that you like my reviews 🥰 Sadly I don't have the Prairie where I am though (Singapore), so when I was doing my Coleman tents review, I only picked the more popular ones that Amazon was willing to ship to Asia 😅
Thank you! I've watched way too many tent review videos (1000's). This is by far the most detailed review of any tent I have ever seen on RUclips. I was excited about this, but living in the PNW I need a tent that can endure days and days of rain. Thanks for your work on this!
Hey Nathan! WOW that's a lot of reviews. But wow thank you so much for your kind words, I really appreciate your expert opinion on it 🥰 And days and days of rain will require a much more weatherproof tent with a full fly for sure.
Hey J! Thanks so much for letting me know! 🥰 I'm really glad you liked this! And yeah I totally agree with the no vestibule too, that would be good to have. I hope this tent continues to serve you well for a long time! 🥰
Very objective and comprehensive! I appreciate your tip to run guylines through the hook rather than grommet for securing in high winds. I also appreciate the "heads up" about the ceiling hub being a painful headache, as I am 6'4". I very highly recommend this video to anyone who has purchased or is thinking of purchasing this tent!
This was an incredible review! Thank you!! This particular instant tent was at the top of my list-until this review. I’m just not fond of the minimal rain fly-but I love the bathtub style flooring! Soooo, I’m now considering either the Gazelle T4 Plus Overland Edition or the Wawona 6. I’ve watched all your reviews of the Wawona, but would love to see a comparison with the Gazelle T4 Plus-I love the idea of a large vestibule to either sit out of the hot sun and/or remove my shoes, etc., before entering the main tent. I’m a single, 66-year-old physically active male and 5’ 6” short. The T4 Plus is pretty heavy, but the Wawona isn’t. Instant tent vs poles? Hmmm… Got a review of the T4 Plus on the drawing board anytime soon? Thanks again!
When I saw this video on my list, I dropped everything and watched it. Am I betraying myself as a Gazelle fan boy? 😂I really appreciate the efforts that you've put into reviewing this tent. I agree with all the pluses and minuses that you've pointed out of this tent. In fact they all apply to the Gazelle's family of tents, from the smallest T3 to the big brother T8/T4 Plus. If they would change anything, please make the rain fly cover the windows and doors better. You mentioned that there is no power cord port, but in fact you can just pull a bit of the floor from the wall to allow the cord in. This is perhaps better than a fixed power cord port location because the electrical outlet is not always the shortest distance from the port after the tent is oriented the way you want it. In Ontario, some of the provincial park campsites can be as far as 100 ft away from the electrical outlet. Lastly, Gazelle tents (and gazebos too) are pretty sturdy. Unless there is a strong wind, the guy lines are pretty much optional. Even at that, just put one on the upwind side. I have a Gazelle G6 gazebo (6 sided), which went through a thunderstorm that passed right through the campground. I did not see that coming and did not guy out the gazebo, though I staked down all 6 corners. Only the upwind side collapsed and needed a guy line. Well done as always. Keep up the good work.
Aww thank you so much!!! 🥰 I was thinking of you when I watched this video, I remember you've told me about it on a few occasions, so of course I already knew that you were a total Gazelle fan boy 😉 Actually I've just realized that the T8 Plus Hub tent looks like it has a much longer rainfly that could help with the problems I encountered! Is that something you have? I wanna buy it but it's $1.5K over in Singapore which is a bit ridiculous for now :( And OMG your power port tip is GENIOUS! Thank you so much for letting me know! It didn't even occur to me at all despite me having loved the removable feature 😅 And yeah it's definitely a lot more handy than a fixed point power port too! Thank you for also letting me know how this does in the wind! Any chance you might know what the limit of this Gazelle T4 is in the wind? Did you get a chance to test that out? 😁
@@CampingGuidanceThank you for your kind reply. The T8's fly is a bit better but the weak point is the door where the protrusion of the fly is not really enough to cover it, so some rain will get in if you get in or out when raining. This weakness is shared by the T4 Plus, although the door configuration is different. I don't have a T4, so I can't really comment on how well it performs in high winds. My instinct is that it would do better than my G6, which stands much taller and has bigger walls. BTW, I was using the all-terrain stakes that came with the G6, which are much beefier than those that came with your T4.
@@chomp54321 Thank you for your reply too! 🥰 Ah, I guess Gazelle still has some work to do with their fly, no matter the tent. Hopefully they make some improvements and one day it'll be super bomb proof haha! Ohhh okay sorry I just assumed you had a T4! But thanks so much for your input on the G6! I do wanna get that one day too 😃
@@CampingGuidanceMy dream tent is the T8 Plus (or now the palatial T-Hex 😁) but my wife wanted a tent with a D door, claiming that zippers would be too much IF her back acts up. So we did wind up getting a Coleman. However, she found that the door did not close squarely, blaming a change in the design (Coleman got rid of the rod that acted as the hinge). I tried to explain to her that was because the tent was not sitting square due to the unevenness of the ground. She wound up returning the tent. Hopefully that's the opening that I need to get my Gazelle tent. 😅😅
@@chomp54321 Omg I didn't even know they had a T-Hex tent! It looks incredible though 😱 But definitely way out of my budget for now, and it'll probably cost me more than the tent is worth in shipping :( Gotta find some other way to get it if I wanna review it hahaha. Oh man I'm so sorry to hear about your Coleman tent! But I'm glad that you guys managed to return it. Has she sworn off hinged doors yet? 😅
I got the same tent but the overland edition. Love it. Two cons in my opinion is its weight and lenght when packed up. You gotta have an SUV or a truck if you're taking this tent on a trip.
Hi! Thanks so much for your input! 🥰 How does the overland edition differ from the one that I have? And yeah I totally agree with its weight, and more so with the length, I had to store my standing up at home, cos it's just so loooong.
@@pingpongballz5998 Ooooh definitely The North Face Wawona 6! I don't have a better recommendation than this. (Also I will have a Best Family Tents video out in a few weeks, but that's just the gist of it :) Oh, but it took me 20 minutes to set it up on my own, which is gonna be a huge downgrade for you especially after using the T4 😅 Is that something you might be interested in though?
I had a T4 for years. It was the tent I used at home and kept it up for about 4 months a year for a place my dogs and I can sleep outdoors. I even slept out in it in 10 degrees F in the snow with a Buddy Mr. Heater. It was great but the weight and size finally caused me to trade it in for a Big Agnes Big House. It worked great for a tall cot because the walls were so vertical. For cool weather and longer stays, it's really worth it. I didn't really have trouble with leaking...maybe a drop here or there.
Hi Deborah! Thank you so much for your constant support and comments, and as always I appreciate your input! 🥰 Oh wow this can take 10 degrees F? I can't imagine what that's like, I've never even been in that kind of weather! 😅 But I'm really glad to know that, maybe next time I would be able to try it out myself too. I hope the Big Agnes Big House is working well for you! Just curious though, how did you come to pick the Big House over all the other Big Agnes models? I'm eyeing the Bunk House myself, but I haven't fully decided 🤔
I liked the Big House as it is light weight, easy to set up and less mesh than some of the other tents that size (cooler weather even in summer means we northerners want less mesh. I did have a problem with rain coming in the door if I didn't close it completely. I bought the vestibule, which was a little bit tough to get completely sealed but using guylines to tighten up everything worked. I think I've had it for 5 years but just sold it. I just love changing tents. Just bought the Wawona 6 person based on your recommendation(and used the affiliate link)!
@@deborahnaybor2233 Ah! Thanks so much for the explanation Deborah! I'll keep that in mind next time I get a tent from Big Agnes, but I'm probably gonna have to get something with more mesh (cos of the sweltering weather here). I'm always so envious of you camping in cooler weather! 😅 I'm glad it worked out so well for 5 years, that's a really great shelf life, and counting! OMG and thank you so much for using my link!! You're the best! I did see one come in but I had no idea it was you. Thank you!! 🥰 Let me know what you think about it after using it, I'd love to know! (Hopefully it's not too much mesh for you, that's my concern 😅)
Yooo! It’s been awhile! How have you been? I’ve been trying to take grad school more seriously so I can get my master’s over with and live my life one camping spot at a time! I’m actually planning my next camping trip and you and your channel instantly came to mind so I figured I’d drop by and check-in to see how things are going. I’ve been catching up, watching all your videos. I’m loving the content! I see you’ve reviewed the Gazelle tent - FINALLY! I’m absolutely in love with mine. It’s pretty big, but thankfully I have a SUV so I just throw on the roof rack and I’m on my way! Some of the cons you stated I shared concerns with. This is why I opted for the overland edition which is a worthwhile upgrade, imo. The quality is amazing and is by far the best tent I’ve ever owned. The only reason I’d upgrade is to get a larger one because now when our families come together, everyone wants to abandon their tents and sleep in mine, LOL! I’ve been watching all your videos so I can catch up on your content - of course I have to support you! Next up is your 1 and 2 person tents because having one on hand would allow me to have some peace on camping trips without being people invading my space, LOL!
Heyyyyyy!! Omg it has been awhile!! I'm good! Just continuing to work on this channel for now. Thank you so much for taking the time to drop me a comment btw! 🥰 Oh wow it's so impressive you're in grad school! How long more do you have till you graduate? HAHA and sorry it took so long to get the Gazelle out omg I've definitely been slacking off when it comes to producing content 😅😅😅 And yay I'm really glad that yours is still going great! Hmm maybe I should consider getting the overland edition next time 🤔 Hahaha maybe next time you'll have to upgrade to the T8 or something 🥳 Aww you're so sweet for wanting to watch all my videos!! I know they're not all that interesting so feel free to skip anything that doesn't catch your eye. I'll do my best to get more content produced this year 😅
Hey Chris! Hmm I think that would help a little bit, but especially the hub areas might still leak. If you haven't bought this yet, I'd recommend the T4 Plus instead! It has a longer rainfly which covers up some of the problem areas.
Great review and I reckon this tent has a lot of interest. It is a great tent, however the pack size is pretty large. Coleman Instant-up series does the exact same as this but are much more manageable in size. I love the removable floor design as you can clean it out much more thoroughly then a fixed floor design. The mechanism though, I reckon, needs a long term durability test. Great concept and I hope they move to aluminium poles in the next iteration. Thanks for the review Liz, cheers. Also, love the new on-screen timers for each part of the review. That will definitely help people who watch on mobile devices.
Hi again Wer Kar! Thank you so much for all your comments, it really means a lot that you actually watch all of my videos and even leave comments on ALL of them! I'm so touched 😭 Thank you! 🥰 Oooh are you referring to the Coleman Instant 4P or 10P that I reviewed on this channel? I think they might be slightly different! And yeah I do plan to keep using this tent and hopefully eventually get to test out long-term durability 😁 And I'm really glad that you liked the on-screen timers! I was hoping that you would say something about it so I could get some immediately feedback hehe. Btw I've been meaning to ask - do you have a RUclips channel yourself? Just wondering cos you really do sound like a RUclips expert, and I love your advice! I'm working on getting rid of the sprites in the previous video as we speak 😁
@@CampingGuidance Hey, you're welcome, just letting the algorithm work its magic. I'm taking about the 4P instant, however the one's in Australia are different as they come with a full rain-fly and awning. Yes they are different, but being quick pitch and freestanding, Coleman did a much better job on those with steel poles. Nah, I'm just a bloke with a regular 9-5 routine who loves review vids and watch heaps of them😂😂But I'm glad you find the feedback useful. Love the reviews that you do. BTW, any chance you could review the Big Agnes chair with the armrests. I've not found too many reviews of that particular model out there. Cheers 👍👍
@@Werkar27 Aww thank you Wer Kar! I appreciate you 🥰 Oh wow I've never used a full rainfly Coleman before, that'll be an experience for sure. Ohhh you totally sound like you know a lot about RUclips! But yeah your feedback has been really useful to me 🥰 Oh man I'm currently prepping camping lights, so I'm buying like all of them now haha 😅 That's what I'm prepping for next year, I think chairs might be the year after next! Sorry I'm still so slow, trying to slowly ramp up production haha. I can still try to help you out though! I have 5-7 camping chairs right now so I have a little experience. Let me know what you're looking for in a chair! Like weight, packed size, budget, comfort, etc. :)
@@CampingGuidance Oh take your time, quality over quantity mate. Australia has some pretty rad tent setups, worth checking. I have a Decathlon chair the one that looks like a Helinox. I find that very low to the ground and not very comfortable. I was looking at the Big Agnes armrest chair, like the one you have. I need something that packs pretty small so it can fit my motorbike pannier. Budget is not an issue as I'll just be buying one chair or 2 at the most. So I'd like you recommendation on something that fits the bill. Thanks and cheers👍
Hi Wer Kar! Thanks so much for your understanding 🥰 And yeah I struggle with perfectionism too, so I'm trying to find the right balance between quality and quantity 😅 I'm not really happy with the number of videos I was able to put out this year though, so I'm hoping to change that next year. Oh okay! I don't have any Quechua chairs at the moment, but I do have the Helinox Chair Zero, One, and Two! I thought they were pretty comfy (nowhere as comfy as my huge REI chairs), but I do agree that they're pretty low to the ground so I won't recommend those. If you don't mind a Helinox though, I found that my Chair Two is the most comfy. I've been meaning to buy the Sunset chair too, cos I've heard great reviews about those, and it looks alot like the chair two. The Big Agnes is a little comfier than the Helinox, and the arm rests are a great touch, but it packs down a little bigger. But still pretty packable overall, definitely the most packable after my Helinox. The other chairs I have are all car camping chairs (REI, Yeti, Alps Mountaineering King Kong). Those definitely won't fit your motorbike haha. Oh man so sorry for the late reply though! Somehow your comment got filtered to spam :( I hope you manage to get one on a deal!
Wonderful review and very cool tent ! I'm looking to replace an old(er) turbo-tent which really can be set up in 90 seconds....it's a good size, but leaks. As I'm taller and like to camp with my 2 dogs, I'm not sure well we would do with the small/odd doors T4
Hey again Rob! thanks so much for your comments on my videos, they really help for sure 🥰 Ah the small doors can be a big dealbreaker when camping with doors. they may not be able to get over the lip well enough and may end up damaging your tent in the long run :(
Hello, thank you very much for making these videos, they are very helpful. I have no experience with tents and I just got this tent. It seems pretty good overall but I am having one issue. On both both doors, the zippers are very stiff along the bottom. Almost too stiff to zip them. You mentioned if a door zipper was too stiff, to adjust the stake near the door. But I didn't have any stakes in at all though because I was just testing it in my yard. Do you think having no stakes was the problem and if I fully stake it would fix the door?
Thank you so much for the Super Thanks! I really appreciate it 🥰 Hmm I don't think having no stakes is the problem. Some tents do run a bit tight, so what I do is leave them out (fully staked) for a few days, and eventually it'll loosen up. You may want to try that!
Great review, thank you. Really want a high quality instant tent for when I go with my kids (they are no help), but the pack size of this is just too big; won't fit in my car without the seats down. Too bad!
Hey Matt! Thank you so much for letting me know, it means a lot to me! 🥰 Ah yeah this is a great high quality instant tent, but it's soooo huge! I'm sorry that it won't fit :( Maybe you can try the Caddis Rapid! It's a lot smaller, and I found it to be almost as good as this tent.
@CampingGuidance thanks for the great reviews. Whats your favorite Instant tent for 6 or more people under $180? I am looking at Coleman Camping Tent 6 Person with WeatherTec, CORE 6 Person Instant Cabin Tent, Ozark Trail 11-Person Instant Cabin with Private Room or BeyondHOME Instant Cabin Tent 6 Person. Unless you have something you like better. THis is for florida weather so not windy but lots of rain so that is an important factor for me. TIA
Hey Steven! Thanks for the kind words! I'm really glad you're liking my reviews 🥰 Hmm as for instant tents, I've got a "Best Instant Tents" video coming out sometime this month, which should give you a better idea of all the different tents, but between the 4 tents you picked, I'd go with the Core! It's got the best instant tent mechanism of the rest (though I haven't tried BeyondHOME). But for most instant tents you will need to seal seams, they tend to not be the best in rain though. I hope this helps!
@@CampingGuidance thanks for your reply. I need to buy a tent in the next one week because I'm going camping soon. So Besides the core are there any other instant tents that you prefer that are under $250? I know one is the gazelle t4 but are there more choices? Please rate your favorite from best to worst.
@@CampingGuidance I saw your review and that looks great too. Which do you prefer (caddis or gazelle) for protection against rain and quality of hubs/components? I wasn't sure by your last reply.
@@stevenscop Both Caddis and Gazelle are great in terms of hubs/components, but I'd go with the Gazelle for overall construction. Are you expecting heavy rains/winds? Cos if so, none of my instant tents are really all that great in such bad weather haha 😅 I'd recommend you go with a normal tent with a longer rainfly and non-instant poles instead.
I'd love to see you do updates showing how well these tents do over the years, but you/she has so many tents. I am thinking she could buy a campground and rent it and the tent of her customer's choice out for $ so people can test them out for themselves or simply camp without investing in tents.
That's such a cool idea! Sadly land here where I am (Singapore) is super expensive though :( I wanted to rent out tents but I no longer have a car (lost it last year) so that's made things more difficult too. I'll see what I can! I have given away a few tents to friends, and they've been using them!
Hi! I actually reviewed the Alps Lynx, if that's something you're interested in. Let me know if you need the link to it! But yes, I'm going to do more Alps reviews within the next year hopefully!
Hmm the short answer is The North Face Wawona! I have a review on that too. But if you wanna give me more details on what you need, I can provide you with better advice (I hope) 😅
Thank you so much James! I'm really happy that you like the reviews and the details 🥰 And yeah that's definitely true. Luckily they feel more sturdy than fiberglass poles from Coleman or other more budget brands hahaha 😅
The design is almost identical to fishing tents. The poles are solid fiberglass and not hollow. The ice fishing tents have to be strong enough to take blasts of cold Arctic winds. The weakness is that the roof poles can invert down strong winds, and this can be mitigated with a telescoping pole used to support the roof. My wife and I really respect your work. We are excited to see what is next.
@@jamesdavidsmith4033 Oh yeah I've seen some fishing tents on RUclips too! And yes you're right, the design is very similar. Thank you so much James, for giving me that info, I never connected the dots before this 😅 And thank you so much for your kind words too, it really means a lot to me 🥰
hi im newbies to camping,i just bought a tent it size on bottom is 69inchx36inch can i fit a 75inchx30inch inside?Because it is kind of after thought to purchase air bed after i buy the tent
Hi! Hmm from the dimensions that you’re talking about, the length definitely seems way too short to fit your bed. :( I wouldn’t recommend having the bed push too much against the walls too.
One thing I think is a super important miss with her videos is her not revealing her height when she speaks of her own head clearance. She DOES always reveal the actual measurements and height of the tents in different areas so people are not left without understanding what they need to know most. But I think it would be helpful, giving people a visual clue. I, myself, am probably not as tall as she is. I am 5' or 60" tall, but most people I would be camping with me would be taller. Just a suggestion, it is all super-dooper well covered information.
Oops sorry about that! I must have missed that out. I'm about 5'3 or 63'' or 160cm tall, if that helps! Thanks for letting me know, I'll try to remember to put that in next time! 🥰
I own the T4 version without the hub, and Gazelles are the type of tent that isn't perfect, but fills a particular niche that works really well for that specific market. It's great for inexperienced or older campers who want an easier setup and teardown which you don't have to stuff into a sack like a Coleman. It provides a ton of room and works really well for multi-day camping trips because of the size configuration. It's not an great tent for winter use, but it's doable, especially if you use a Buddy heater. The cons aren't necessarily deal-breakers, but you have to make allowances for them. It's massive when packed up and you need either a large truck bed or backseat fold-down for it to fit. The doors can be annoying to go through, but that's a tradeoff for the ease of setup in the design. The ventilation admittedly leaves a lot to be desired, even with the rainfly off--that no-see-um mesh actually restricts the airflow more than necessary.
Hi Christopher! Thank you so much for taking the time to let me know about your experience ! 🥰 Wait, there's a Gazelle tent without the hub? Which one is that? I had no idea, I thought they all had hubs 😅 And yeah I agree with the niche market that it fills for sure, there's actually a surprising number of people out there who love this type of instant setup and pack away tents. I only realized after reviewing a few of these videos haha And yeah we do have to work with the cons for sure, I wouldn't call them deal-breakers either, like you said. Oh but I thought the ventilation in this tent wasn't too bad! I've definitely been in worse tents haha. And the mesh I don't think is no-see-um though, I'm just eyeballing it but I think the mesh holes are a little too big to be no-see-um? I could be wrong though! 😅
Is there a version of T4 without hubs? Was it a very old design? In any case, I don't agree that the quick setup is only for the inexperienced and older campers. There is something to be said about being able to erect a tent quickly to settle and give shelters to little ones. Many overlanders also like the quick setup and teardown. As for winter use, people have modded the T4 to be used as a hot tent (i.e. using a wood-burning stove for warmth).
Gazelle tents remind me of yurts, I really like the style of these tents. Now to make up my mind, the hardest part that I’ll spend way too much time on. lol
Hey Tory! Oh yeah I never made that connection, but now that you mention it, they do look like yurts, kind of! Haha let me know what you eventually go with! (Edit: Oh man btw I noticed a notification that you left another comment on another one of my videos but it seems to have disappeared so I can't reply to it sadly)
Hahaha yes! 🥰 Actually, I've been told that my 5 minute set up timing is too long, so if you're faster than me, you might be able to get it up quicker haha
Hey Brandon! Awww that's so sweet thank you so much! 🥰 And yeah that's my real un-edited voice hahaha. I always thought it sounded cringey to me but I'm really happy that you like it so much 🥰
Thank you so much for all your comments as always Filipe!! 🥰 Yeahhhh it's huge for just a 4P tent right! And yeah we could throw dance parties if we really wanted to 😆
Oh wow thank you so much for such a generous Super Thanks Valerie! I really appreciate it loads and will definitely put 100% of it back into buying new gear 🥰

Ok, got to admit this is by far -- the most comprehensive review on this tent I have seen. The measurements were exceptionally helpful as well.
Aww thank you so much! It really means a lot to me that you liked this review and the measurements! 🥰 If I missed anything, feel free to ask!
So seal up the bottom and never remove it right?
I wish this tent did not have a removal bottom. I think that’s a bad idea.
@@EPH113 Oh man sorry to hear about that :( Is it because of the bugs?
@@CampingGuidance I was asking pengoat9 in the response above. The removal bottom is a bad idea for campers I believe. Was just wondering if you could permanently seal it off effectively and not harm the tent. Or maybe just never remove it and it will be fine?
Thanks
@@EPH113 Oops! Got it. Lemme tag @pengoat9 and hope for a reply!
Absolute best tent reviewer on RUclips! No exaggeration
Aww thank you so much! 🥰 That really means the world to me.
I love you finally reviewed this lovely tent!! Thanks for the very informative review !!
Aww thank you so much for waiting for this review! 🥰 That means a lot to me. Sorry to keep you waiting so long! I'm still trying to figure out how to speed up my review processes 😅
Best review I’ve ever seen of anything. And I watch reviews for everything I buy. Easy sub.
Thank you so much Chuck! I really appreciate the sub and the kind words 🥰
This is a really good review. The most comprehensive I’ve seen of this tent. Thanks!
Aww thank you so much! I'm really glad you liked this review! 🥰
Funny, I just got this tent. The only cons are the smallish doors and no vestibule. Thanks, Liz! ✌️
Aww thank you so much and I'm really glad that you liked the tips too 🥰
This was an incredible review!
I wanna buy it but it's $1.5K over in Singapore which is a bit ridiculous for now :(
And OMG your power port tip is GENIOUS!
Probably the best instruction video on RUclips. Thanks very much!
It was my pleasure! I'm really glad that you liked this, thank you so much too 🥰
I got the same tent but the overland edition.
@CampingGuidance Overland had the upgeaded flooring. Upgraded steaks which are way better for windy conditions. I love the tent but yes it's long!
@@CampingGuidance you recommend any good family tents that are good in windy and rainy conditions that can pack smaller than the Gazelle?
@@pingpongballz5998 Oh wow that's cool!! Thanks for letting me know! And I thought the flooring on the T4 was already great 😃
@@pingpongballz5998 Ooooh definitely The North Face Wawona 6!

Hey Miss. Liz!!!! I hope that you are well, I was just wondering between this and the zempire tents which one should I go for? Thanks
Great review! Do you think spraying the problem leaky area's of the tent with a water proofing spray would help with the leaks you were talking about?
Cheers 👍👍

Ohhh you totally sound like you know a lot about RUclips! But yeah your feedback has been really useful to me 🥰
Oh man I'm currently prepping camping lights, so I'm buying like all of them now haha 😅 That's what I'm prepping for next year, I think chairs might be the year after next!
Hey again Rob! thanks so much for your comments on my videos, they really help for sure 🥰 Ah the small doors can be a big dealbreaker when camping with doors. they may not be able to get over the lip well enough and may end up damaging your tent in the long run :(
Would love to see your gamut of tests ran against the Overlandish Basecamp and Shiftpod 3
Thanks so much for the suggestion! 🥰 Maybe I will in the future!
@@stevenscop Ah I see. Have you checked out the Caddis Rapid? It's a really great quality tent too and I'd recommend it after the Gazelle.
Can 4 adults fit inside easily or should I go for a 6 person tent ?
I'd love to see you do updates showing how well these tents do over the years, but you/she has so many tents. I am thinking she could buy a campground and rent it and the tent of her customer's choice out for $ so people can test them out for themselves or simply camp without investing in tents.
That's such a cool idea! Sadly land here where I am (Singapore) is super expensive though :( I wanted to rent out tents but I no longer have a car (lost it last year) so that's made things more difficult too. I'll see what I can! I have given away a few tents to friends, and they've been using them!
Consider ALPS mountaineering gear, such as the Taurus 6! I wonder if those tents are actually as weatherproof as they seem
Hi! I actually reviewed the Alps Lynx, if that's something you're interested in. Let me know if you need the link to it! But yes, I'm going to do more Alps reviews within the next year hopefully!

Thanks for the suggestion Riley! And I'm really glad you like my videos 🥰 Yes I definitely do wanna review those one day!
Have you reviewed the bigger size gazelle tent?
Sadly I have not, it's too expensive for me right now :(
So what’s the best tent in your opinion can make a video I love Coleman I had one for 10years and it finally died so sad
Hmm the short answer is The North Face Wawona! I have a review on that too. But if you wanna give me more details on what you need, I can provide you with better advice (I hope) 😅
Brilliant reviews and educating.
The poles have to be fiberglass because they flex without developing a memory.

You're best at what you do 👍
Aww thank you so much for the kind words 🥰
You should check out the T4 Plus!
I wanna!!! But it's sooo expensive to ship from the US, and in my country, Amazon sells it at $1,500 OMG haha.
Very detailed review. Majws me want to check it out. Thank you!
Hey Joe! Thanks so much! 🥰 I'm glad you liked the review.
I only realized after reviewing a few of these videos haha
And yeah we do have to work with the cons for sure, I wouldn't call them deal-breakers either, like you said.
Great job very informative well done ❤thank you so much!
You're most welcome Ron! It was my pleasure 🥰 Glad you found all the info helpful!
5 minutes to set up? SOLD!
Hahaha yes! 🥰 Actually, I've been told that my 5 minute set up timing is too long, so if you're faster than me, you might be able to get it up quicker haha
is that your real voice? i could listen to that voice all day i wish that's what my phones gps voice sounded like.

And yeah we could throw dance parties if we really wanted to 😆
@@CampingGuidance Dancing parties seems great for the wind test too, if resist to the party resist also to the wind 😅
@@filipemmarques Oh yeahhhh next time maybe can do a dancing test instead of a wind test 😉
@@CampingGuidance Prodigy or Justice will be a good soundtrack for the wind dancing test 😁
